The next day Phoebe and I walked together to school "are you nervous?" she asked.
I chuckled, "yeah. Is it that obvious?"
"Only a little bit. It will be fine, I will introduce you to my friends later, they are cool."
We started our first day with a gathering of all the juniors in the auditorium. Our teachers and the principal stood on the stage and after they were introduced, the principal started his speech.
"Welcome juniors to one of your most important years at school. This year will guide you to your path for your future. Till April all the teachers will guide you, help you and help you to seek out your talents, gifts and strengths. The most important thing that you need to remember is that everyone here in this room has his own talents, gifts and or strengths. No one gets privileges or is more important. The biology teacher stepped forward "Hannah her dominated gene can be the witch-gene, that depends how strong her mother's gene is. Maybe your dominant gene is human, which is not something to be ashamed of. It is also not ruled out that we will find some wolf gene in your blood but since Hannah has no wolf it probably won't be much."
The principal took over again "the blood test will help us to define our dominant gene. Next school year we are focusing on that side of your person. Your class schedule will be composed according to your dominant gene. Of course, some exceptions will be discussed in person when necessary. Are there questions?"
A hand went up "can we refuse the blood test?"
"Theoretically, you can refuse it, but we don't recommend it, of course there are always exceptions. But these are passed on to Alpha George and in the end, he decides. She rolled her baby blue eyes and giggled, brushing her long wavy brown hair out her face "Ivy is going to love you."
