I dropped my pencil on my books and stood up with a yawn, I was finally done with my homework. I stretched my back, feeling a bit stiff from sitting at my desk for hours. I closed my books and stacked them on one pile when one book fell on the floor with a thud. Ravens' recipe-book lay open on the floor. I squatted down and took the book in my hand.
I hadn't had that much time to really look at it and with all my schoolwork I forgot about it. On the open page was a drawing of a plant or herb that I never have seen in my life. The name of the plant was written at the top, next to it a drawing of the plant. Under need the name, a list of what the plant could be used for. I flipped page after page and then, finally, there it was. A drawing of the plant that Catalina gave me 2 years ago.

I dropped the book on my bed and quickly made my school bag for tomorrow. I got ready for bed and held the book close to me, my heart beating fast with excitement. I wanted to show Catalina, but she was already asleep. I will tell her tomorrow. I couldn't sleep that night; I tried but after lying awake for 2 hours I took my little flashlight and started reading Ravens book under my blanket.

At some point I must have fallen asleep, because dad woke me up the next morning "how long did you read?" He smiled down at me.

I rubbed my eyes "too long. I couldn't sleep."

He smiled "I know, I heard you tousling and turning for a long time. I let you sleep a little longer since you have a free period. The others already left, I made you breakfast."

I forgot that dad could hear that, one of his benefits of being a wolf "Thanks, dad. I'm going to take a quick shower." After my shower and breakfast, I ran to school, I managed to arrive 5 minutes before the bell went.

Phoebe was waiting for me outside the classroom. "I was getting worried about you." She smiled when I gave her a quick hug.

"I know sorry, I read to long last night and dad let me sleep in."

"It's good that you were late. Tristan was looking for you." She told me while we walked to our seats. I groaned hearing that while I sat down. "I don't like him. Is it that so hard to understand."
