I ran after what I said

I ran after what I said. What is happening with me? In my whole life I never got so mad or rude as I just did with Syringa, my mother that gave me away to protect me and I__ I put a dagger in her heart and turned it around. 'She will forgive you' Aria tried.

'She shouldn't, I was horrible. She just__' I began but I heard Paris call my name and wiped my tears away.

"Hey, what happened? We found Aunt Syringa__" she looked at my face "the same way as you." She pulled me in her arms. "It will be alright Fay."

"I lashed out to her, totally unfair and said something horrible. She meant well and I__."

Paris groaned "Fay stop being the good girl. You have right to get angry too. You always seem so collect, so adult. We are teenagers, we may lash out now and then."

I opened my mouth, but she shook her head "no Fay, don't start. I have known you for 2 almost 3 months. You always smile because people want to see that. You help wherever you can, and you are there for everyone that needs you. But when you smile, really smile your eyes glow, you whole face lights up. But I didn't see it that often. Your friends worry, your parents too. What is going on?"

I dropped my arms next to me "I don't know."

I snorted, took the book out her hands and guided her to a bench "sit down Fay. Now who is Nixon and what has he done to you? Do I need to hunt him down for hurting my niece?"

I gave her a watery smile and sighed "In our junior year I started to get little gifts in my locker." I started and remembered the first time I found one.

"What gifts?"

"A package of Rosemary, a vanilla cake, sunflower seeds and other herbs."

Paris rolled her eyes "I had hoped for some more exciting gifts."

"For me they were, I love all those things. Anyway, I didn't knew who gave it to me. One day that person must have seen me with Rowan and Dorian and the next day I found a note accusing me of not waiting for my mate."

"Hum__ he was jalouse."

"Or she, I didn't know who it was. For my birthday I even received a vanilla plant. My mom found it at our front door."

"Those are hard to find." Paris said.

I nodded "not if you know your way in the Silvamagna forest or live on Issoire. In our senior year we had our PE test. I went out against Dorian, but I was in the top 12. I knew who Nixon was, but I never really paid attention to him. He was always alone, didn't bother to talk to others. I found him attractive and seeing him fight__ even more. How he moved, he was wonderful to watch. After winter break, they placed us in groups of 2, and that's the first time that I really talked to Nixon. That first day when we needed to practice, I was so nervous."

Paris giggled "I had the same thing with Elmar."

"He made me so nervous, he whispered in my ear, and I lost myself in his voice. After a while I managed to control it more and we became friends. I thought. I recognized his handwriting from the notes that I received. He wasn't happy when we went into the Silvamagna forest to find some Foxglove. After our last exam he disappeared. He never said goodbye."
