"Lain, Lyanna how are you? How was everything home?" I asked them sitting down with them in one of the living rooms in the palace.
"Too hot" Lyanna wrinkled her nose. "But I'll get used to it," she looked up at Lain with love.
"Oh, so you are going back?" I asked.
"Yes we are. Lain is the Alpha now."
"Congratulations Lain__ wait what? Alpha? What about Nixon and Ares? What happened?"
"He challenged his father but during the fight Ares fled. That's why we are later back. We searched for days but we didn't find him. You should be careful Fay. It's still a possibility that he is coming for you."
"I don't think that__"
"They are right Ophelia." Lucian said sternly. "He lost his pack. He doesn't care anymore about that, if he claims you, he would have the whole world. From what you told me__"
I nodded; he was right. But I'm not going to hide myself. "What about Nixon? Why didn't he became the Alpha?"
"He stepped down, handed it over to me. He didn't want to be the Alpha of his father's old pack."
"He didn't want to step in his father's footsteps." I mumbled.
"Before I forget, Viltarin asked me to give this to you." Lyanna handed me a package.
I frowned, not knowing what he would give me, I mumbled a thanks when Ewald and Orlo entered the room. Ewald strolled in like he owned the place and flopped down on the couch while Orlo bowed for me.
"Take a seat Orlo. What are you doing here?" I asked Ewald while I placed the packaged on the table next to me and pushed Ewald's feet's on the ground.
"We were bored, and I thought that I could visit my friends." Ewald muttered.
"Orlo how are you?" Lyanna asked him.
"Good, you found your mate?" he asked and smiled at Lain.
"Yes, this is Lain."
"Nice to meet you." Lain and Orlo shook hands in greeting, and I heard Lyanna tell a story about her and Orlo playing together when they were little. But I kept my eyes manly on Lain. "What?" he mouthed me. My eyes flicked towards Orlo, and he followed me but shrugged. I had hoped that he would have recognized Orlo, maybe someone of his relatives lives in the forest. A vampire-wolf would recognized their scent. Maybe someone of his family is still alive.
Not long after that Ivy came home and sat down on Lucian's lap while Lyanna told us everything that she did and saw in the Silvamagna forest. "Fay? Phone call for you. It's Jupiter." Mama called out to me. I stood up and followed her towards the phone. "She is very upset about something." Mama whispered before she left me alone.
I sat down and picked up the horn. "Jupiter?"
"Fay!" she sobbed.
"What's going on Jupiter?" I had never heard or seen her like this, broken. She was always so strong, feisty.
