Mom and dad were sitting outside when I came home the next day "How was it with your friends?" Mom asked me.

"Really good. Jupiter was incredibly happy when she found out that she has a dominant Fae-gene." I said while I sat down with them.

"Oh, wow a Fae. Fire probably." Dad nodded.

"She needs to train next year but yeah probably a fire-Fae her grandma was one too. Where is Lina?" I asked.

"At Aileen's and so is Tygo." Mom said.

I nodded and watched them, they seemed nervous. Mom kept playing with her hair and dad looked everywhere except at me. I think I had my answer "when were you going to tell me that I'm adopted?" I asked them.

Dad looked down. "We wanted to wait till you were 18," Mom said softly.

"Why so long? I have always felt different, why not telling me sooner?"

"We thought about it when you turned 12, but we backed down. We wanted to give you the best life possible. Show you how much we love you. You are our daughter."

"And we are scared to lose you."

I rolled my eyes "you aren't going to lose me. I love you both, and Lina and Tygo. You have never treated me differently. You are my mom and dad and that will never change."

Dad nodded with a little smile "we can't give you the information yet. Legally speaking you must be 18 years."

"That's fine dad, for now I don't want to know. I just wanted to know if my feeling was right. But can I take the blood test? It would be easier for next year."

Dad signed, stood up and squatted down next to me and took my hand. "If you really want to then yes, but you love gaining information Fay." I nodded at that. "What if the blood test gives you as results that you are just a wolf with human genes, then you can't take the witch classes or even the Fae classes."

My eyes went wide "Oh, I hadn't thought about that."

"If I was you princess, I would keep my mouth shut about that stupid blood test. Do the senior test before summer to see how far you stand and gain as much information as possible next year about every species. You love to learn; I would take advantage of this situation."

"You are right dad. I have never cared about what I was. And I do want to learn as much as possible. The rest can wait. My real parents they deposed me, they can wait to meet me."

I noticed that dad his wolf came forward and sadness washed over dad's eyes, before his wolf took over wrapping me in a tight hug. "We love you princess" he muttered in my hair. Maybe I was a bit harsh towards my real parents, but it hurt hearing they didn't want me.

Ever since that evening around the campfire I was reading every book about herbs, plants, trees and even animals__ you never know. I said to dad that I didn't want to do the blood test because he was so right about that. I never cared about what I was. But knowing that I was adopted I became very curious about what I could be.
