The last 2 days were really hectic, and I am glad that after tonight everything will calm down again. This time with our daughter by our side. Finally, after 17 years she was home again and after tonight we could finally tell the world that she was ours. I was tying my dark green tie when Syringa entered our room in her evening gown. A dark green that complimented her eyes. Her dark hair was brought together in a low bun. "Beautiful," I said and walked towards her forgetting about my tie.
"So are you. Excited?" She asked taking my tie over from me.
"Yes, but also hopeful, relieved, and proud of our daughter. She is going to be wonderful."
"She will, with the right people around her," Syringa said.
"We will guide her as much as possible, and she doesn't need to take over from us now."
"Did you see her?" Syringa asked finishing my tie.
"No not yet."
"Cornelia and I picked the perfect dress. She looks gorgeous in it."
I hummed "as long as the single boys, and girls understand that only her mate will be good enough for her. Then they can look as much as they want."
I trailed my hands over my soft pink dress, flattening the skirt a bit. I loved the dress, even more since it was a present from Dorian and Rowan. When I received it yesterday, I was obliged to tell my parents from whom I got it. It wasn't a pleasant conversation at first, but luckily my parents are very open minded about a lot of things. After a moment of silence my father burst out laughing when I told him about having two mates. Mom started to explain to me how I could keep two boys happy. Let me tell you, hearing my mother talking about sex and such__ not the most pleasant conversation I had. But they can't wait to meet with them.
We arrived at the palace and the King and Queen stood at the door and greeted everyone that arrived. He was wearing a dark suit, a white a button-down shirt and a dark-green tie in the same color as the Queen her gown. They welcomed my parents and me, and we walked further inside the palace making room for the next guest in line that had arrived.
