*Alice's Pov!*
The fair was amazing, especially at night. I stared in awe at all the pretty colors that lit through the grounds. Liv tugged gently on my hand, leading me around. We went everywhere together, just us through the night. First it was the bumper cars, then the ferris wheel. Everything was just...perfect.
But after hours and hours of roaming by ourselves. We decided to sit on her dad's car, watching fireworks go off. It was cold tonight. But with Liv's jacket on me, I felt just fine as the breeze pushed past us. "It's beautiful." Liv said, staring at the fireworks erupting above us. I looked over, seeing lights reflect onto her eyes
They went to mine, as hands snaked around my waist. Pulling me closer to her. Our hands held firmly with each other, laughing at people walking through the fair. "He has three bags of cotton candy!" I point as she laughs. The man walks past us, smiling brightly. "You must love cotton candy." Liv smiles. He then tosses us one, laughing as he pushes his hair back.
"Sorry, it's just fair cotton candy is amazing and I only get it once a year." He admits. I finally get a good look at him as he stands closer. He is way younger than I first saw him, probably our age. "What's your name?" Liv asks, he smiles.
"I'm Darius." He says laughing. "Nice to meet you." Liv says happily. It becomes silent for a while so I chime in. "You must love cotton candy to get this much."
"What? Can a black dude not like flavorful clouds?" He laughs as Liv opens the bag he gave us, taking a bite. Her eyes light up, handing me some. I then take some for myself and I finally understand why he got so many bags, it's amazing. I turn to Liv. "We should go in and get more." I suggest, Darius laughs. Me and Liv then eat the entire bag as Darius introduces himself.
"I just moved here so I don't know anyone, well other than my boyfriend." Me and Liv both stop eating, looking back at each other. Finally, this was our time to shine. We then see a tall guy walk up to us, staring directly at Darius. His arm immediately slings around him as Darius smiles. "You are totally going to meet our friend group!" Liv says, but suddenly we both gasp.
"Ares! Wait..your gay!?" I exclaim, I'm surprised. He just smiles, I mean I know he is a basic white guy, but gay was not one of the things I picked up from him. Ares just leans against Darius. "I was going to introduce him soon enough, I'm just not ready...to come out. So can we keep this a secret?" Ares asks and we immediately nod.
"Yeah of course, your secret is safe with us." Liv says. Ares sighs in relief. "Good, anyways what are you guys doing here? Isn't everyone else back there on rides and shit?" Ares asks. "Yeah but we both wanted to watch the fireworks, the view is kinda nice from here." I admit. "She isn't wrong." Darius replies. "But it was nice meeting you Darius." Liv says.
"Do you want to exchange numbers?" He suggests, I fish out my phone. I then give him both of our numbers, we can just get Ares's from the group-chat. "Great thanks, anyways we need actual food so we will catch you guys later!" Ares yells walking away as I wave them goodbye. "Well that was surprising."
"Tell me about it." I sigh, holding her hand once again. She then turns to me, pushing my hair back. "Tonight was fun Alice." I turn to her, staring at her happily. "Yes it was." I agree, kissing her soundly. It was silent for a while, just me and her. But once we hear someone clearing their throat we look their way. "I need to get Wyn back, fucking now." Artemis says, fuming heavily.
We both then turn to each other, confused.
What the hell was he talking about, and why does Liv seem to know?
