*Liv's Pov!*
Artemis is fucking insane If he thinks we will help him get Wyn back. But still he is persistent, he is practically begging us. And Alice is more confused than ever. "I can't see her with him, I just can't fucking do it." He fumes, pushing his hair back. I watch him pace back and forth, thinking, waiting for something. But I don't give him anything, Alice does.
"Why did you lose her in the first place?" He stops, looking back at her slowly. "You seriously don't know?" She nods, Artemis sighs.
"I've never loved anyone before okay, and whenever she came into my life I thought I would just leave after messing around. But I couldn't fucking do that to her. I told her on the beach a few nights ago, and now she is hanging around Jason. I just can't stand it." He curses.
Now I'm the one confused. 'What happened on the beach?" I asked as he sat on the car across from us. "I wanted to see her, to maybe see if we could be friends." He paused, huffing out air harshly. "But I couldn't, we just argued and she looked so fucking sad and I hate that I caused It. I told her to move on, and now she is and It's killing me." He says, getting more and more frustrated.
I hated to admit it, but I could see why he did what he did. He didn't want to hurt her, to use her and be like his family. But Wyn was happy, what if he just hurts her again? "Artemis, this is something you need to take up with her. Give yourself time, if you still care then go for it-"
"I know I care Liv! I hate seeing her with Jason. Look, he is a great guy but not for her. She is important to me and I want her around." He fumes. But Alice gets up, walking toward him. "Listen, I can tell you really care about her. But everyone in this situation needs time Artemis. It's only been a couple days, and she is hurt. Let her heal, and then talk to her. Apologize to her, do what you need. But please don't hurt her again, because she cares about you too."
Artemis finally meets her eyes, sighing as he gets up from the car. "Fine, but when the time comes, can you guys help me?" He asks. "Of course." I say as Alice nods in response. "Thanks." He mumbles. "I'll see you guys tomorrow, I'm just going to go home." He says, his head falling down as he walks.
"He looks miserable." Alice admits as I grab her hand, bringing her back up on the car. "I know." I whisper, putting my arm around her waist. We both sit silently, watching the sun rise. "Shit, have we really been here all night?" I nod, she laughs. I fish out my phone, looking at the time. Her eyes go to my screen and quickly jumps off the car.
"I have to get to work in twenty minutes, I need to go!" Alice says, making me confused. "You have a job?" I ask. "Yes, it's an animal shelter down the road. I can bring guests...would you like to come with me?" She asks, my face lights up. "Are you kidding me! Yes!" I take her hand, leading her inside the car.
We get in and quickly buckle up. This was the first time I have actually been excited to work in my life. And Alice could tell the whole ride there.
