It was a normal day in town and Noi had gone to Kawaii Chan’s bakery again to get another box of cookies while Pierce went to get some vegetables from Mac. Once Noi went into the bakery he was greeted by Kawaii Chan.
Kawaii Chan: “Noi Kun welcome!”
Noi: “Hi Kawaii Chan, I’m here to get a box of a dozen cookies.”
Kawaii Chan: “Okay I’ll have those ready for you in just a minute!”
She went into the back to go get a box to place the cookies in, while Noi was waiting, Ein had walked in and spotted him and decided to talk to him.
Ein: “Hey Noi whatcha doing here?”
Noi got a little startled by Ein, but still answered him.
Noi: “Oh hi Ein, I’m just getting a box of cookies.”
Ein looked at him confused since he saw Noi walking out of the bakery with a box a few days ago.
Ein: “But didn’t you just get a box a few days ago?”
Noi: “Oh well I really enjoy her cookies so I’ve already finished those.”
Ein let out a laugh before saying something.
Ein: “You know if you keep eating those, you’re going to gain some weight.”
After Noi heard those words coming from Ein made him feel a bit self conscious about his body. Before Noi could say anything Kawaii Chan came out of the back room with the box.
Kawaii Chan: “Sorry for the wait Noi Kun, the boxes fell over and I had to pick them up.”
Kawaii Chan saw Ein next to Noi and saw Noi’s expression and thought something was up.
Kawaii Chan: “Ein Kun did you do something to Noi Kun?”
Ein: “Nope I didn’t do or say anything to him!”
Kawaii Chan: “Are you sure?” “Cause if you did, I’ll ban you from my bakery!”
Ein froze a bit before he shouted and ran out.
Ein: “I WAS NEVER HERE!!”
After he ran out, Noi still thought about what Ein said before.
Kawaii Chan: “Noi Kun did he say anything to you?”
Noi looked up at Kawaii Chan, who was putting the cookies in the box.
Noi: “No he didn’t, I was just nervous around him since what happened the first time we met.”
Kawaii Chan looked at him with a worried expression before handing him the box of cookies.
Kawaii Chan: “If you say so, but come back if you want to talk about it okay?”
Noi gave her a smile and grabbed the box.
Noi: “Okay thanks Kawaii Chan, see you.”
Kawaii Chan waved him goodbye before he left the bakery. Noi went back up the hill without Pierce and once he got back home, he placed the box on the counter and just went into his room and curled into a ball on his bed.
Noi’s mind: “Maybe I should stop eating those for the time being…”
Meanwhile with Pierce, he had got the vegetables he needed before heading to the bakery to meet up with Noi but once he got there he didn’t see him. So he decided to ask Kawaii chan.
Pierce: “Hey Kawaii Chan, where’s Noi?”
Kawaii Chan: “Oh he just left a few minutes ago but he looked a bit upset before he left.”
Pierce was confused since Noi would always wait for him at the bakery when he had to get some other things.
Pierce: “Did something happen when he was here?”
Kawaii Chan: “Well he was in a good mood when he came in, but I went in the back, and after I got out I saw Ein Kun was next to him and that’s when his mood changed.”
Pierce: “Did Ein do anything to Noi?”
Kawaii Chan: “I’m not sure since Ein Kun ran out and Noi Kun didn’t say anything, but I think something happened between them.”
Pierce: “Well I’m going to head back home to see if he’s there.”
Kawaii Chan: “Alright, I hope Noi Kun is okay.”
Pierce nodded before waving bye and leaving the bakery. After he got back home, he saw that a box of cookies was sitting on the counter and it looked like it hadn't been open at all yet.
Pierce’s mind: “Normally Noi would have been eating a few right after we got back.”
He placed the bag of vegetables on the counter and went to Noi’s room to see if he’s there. Before he could knock he heard crying coming from the other side.
Pierce: “Noi, are you okay?”
The crying had stopped before hearing a voice in a sad tone.
Noi: “Y-Yeah I’m okay…”
After hearing the tone in his voice, he knew something was up.
Pierce: “Noi, can I come in?”
There was silence coming from the room before hearing Noi.
Noi: “S-Sure…”
Pierce opened the door and saw Noi sitting on his bed with his face covered in tears. He shut the door before walking to the bed and sitting next to Noi.
Pierce: “Noi, why are you crying?”
Noi wiped his eyes before explaining about what happened at the baker and what Ein said to him.
Noi: “After he said those things, I couldn’t get it out of my head…” “And I thought he was right…”
Pierce was pissed at what Ein had said to Noi, but he decided to focus on cheering up Noi. He pulled Noi onto his lap and pulled him into a hug.
Noi: “Pierce?”
Pierce: “Don’t listen to what he said.” “You’re perfect the way you are so don’t go thinking that way about yourself.”
Noi started to tear up again not due to sadness but due to the kind words Pierce said and buried his head into Pierce’s shoulder.
Noi: “Thanks Pierce, love you.”
Pierce: “Love you too Noi.
