Someone I can trust and love?

Chapter 12

At Lucinda’s workplace, she was looking at some books to see if there’s any new spells to try when she came across something.

Lucinda’s mind: “Huh what’s this?” “Shards that can open portals between worlds?”

As she was reading about those shards, she saw that those shards are rare to find and some worlds have them while others don’t. As she was reading, there was a knock at her door.

Lucinda: “Huh?” “Coming!”

She placed the opened book down and went to open the door, once she did and was greeted by Zane.

Lucinda: “Zane, you need something?”

Zane: “I was wondering if you have a few things I need for any experiment?”

He handed a list of things to her.

Lucinda: “Well come on in then.”

When Zane walked into the workshop, he noticed the book that Lucinda left open.

Zane: “What were you reading about?”

Lucinda: “Oh I was looking for new spells, when I came across these shards that can open portals between worlds.”

Zane: “That’s a thing?”

Lucinda grabs the book.

Lucinda: “Yeah, and it seems that they’re rare and only a few worlds have them.”

Zane: “Does it say what world there is?”

Lucinda: “Hm lets see.”

The two saw a list of worlds that are acceptable with the shards and one world caught their attention.

Zane: “Daemos?”

Lucinda: “Wait, didn’t Noi say that he was something called a Daemos?”

Zane: “Yeah he did.”

Lucinda: “So does that mean he's from another world?”

Zane: “Could be, but why did he come here in the first place?”

Lucinda: “I’m not sure, but I’ll ask him about it the next time I see him in
town.”

Meanwhile with Noi and Pierce, it seems like they fell asleep in each other's arms. Pierce was the first to fall asleep before Noi, and he thought that his horns would get in the way so he used some magic to hide his horns before he went to sleep too. With Pierce, he woke up in the same white room Noi was in.

Pierce’s mind: “Why am I here?”

He then started to hear laughing coming from the same two kids that Noi saw.

Pierce’s mind: “Are those the kids that Noi saw?”

Like what Noi tried doing, he couldn’t move or talk, only see and hear. So he was just watching the two run around playing with each other.

Pierce’s mind: “They do kinda look like us.” “But what are their names?”

Then the boy started to talk to his sister.

???: “Hey, you want to go find Dad and Papa?”

His sister then responded.

???: “Yeah!”

Pierce’s mind: “Oh it seems like they’re going to find me and Noi.”

After he thought that, two figures started to appear.

Pierce’s mind: “I’m guessing that both me and Noi.”

He was right, the two figures where both him and Noi just like what Noi saw were a bit older than they are right now. When the two kids saw the two, they ran up to them and the Pierce there picked up the girl while the Noi there picked up the boy.

Pierce’s mind: “We do look like a nice family.” “I wonder if this dream is actually showing us our future?”

Pierce then shot his eyes open after he thought that and looked around the room.

Pierce’s mind: “I guess I fell asleep in Noi’s room.”

He looked down to see Noi sleeping on his chest. He smiled and ran his hand through Noi’s hair and noticed something different.

Pierce’s mind: “Wait where are his horns?”

Soon Noi opened his eyes and let out a yawn. He rubbed his eyes and got up.

Pierce: “Hey Noi.”

Noi responded with a sleepy voice.

Noi: “Hi.”

Pierce laughs a bit at Noi’s sleepy state. It took Noi a minute to be fully awake again and once he was, Pierce then asked Noi a question.

Pierce: “Hey Noi?”

Noi: “Hm?”

Pierce: “Where are your horns?”

Noi was confused at first till he remembered what he did before falling asleep.

Noi: “Oh well I thought they would get in the way, so I used some magic to hide them.”

He then used his magic to make his horns reappear which surprised Pierce.

Pierce: “I didn’t know you could do that.”

Noi let out a nervous chuckle.

Noi: “Well I never thought I needed to hide then but like I said I thought they would get in the way…in us cuddling.”

He whispers the last few words so Pierce would hear that.

Pierce: “What was the last part?”

Noi: “Nothing!”

Noi quickly got up from his bed to be sure Pierce didn’t see his red face. Pierce just shrugged before he got up too and stretched.

Pierce: “I guess I’ll get started on dinner.”

He looked at a clock to show that it reads 6:40 pm.

Noi: “Okay.”

Before Pierce left the room, he gave Noi a quick kiss on the cheek which left Noi a bit flustered.
