Chapter 24

Today was the day that Jade would be coming to Earth for Noi. It was early in the morning and Pierce called everyone in the town for a meeting about the situation that’s going to be happening soon, since they have no idea when Jade would be coming so that’s why they’re trying to get things ready as quickly as possible. Noi had explained everything to everyone about his past and him being from another world, and he was glad that everyone had accepted him and didn't see him any different. Leif explained Jade’s plan, and they were shocked to hear it.

Aphmau: “So what you’re saying is that this ‘Jade’ person is coming here just to take Noi?!”

Asch: “That’s right.”

Katelyn: “He sounds like a huge jerk.”

Leif: “That’s because he is, and he can be a bit dangerous too.”

Kawaii Chan seemed worried for Noi’s safety.

Kawaii Chan: “Is there a plan to help protect Noi Kun?”

Rhys: “We plan to hide him, and while he’s hiding, we’re gonna stop Jade from getting close to him.”

Aaron: “But where can he hide?”

Asch: “That’s something we need to figure out and fast.”

As they try to think of a place for Noi to hide; Zane offers his idea.

Zane: “He can hide in my lab.”

Rhys: “And where is this lab of yours?”

Zane: “It’s underneath my place, and it has some security since I don’t want others getting in.”

Kawaii Chan seemed happy with that idea.

Kawaii Chan: “That sounds like a great place for Noi Kun to hide in!”

Aphmau: “Alright now we found a place for him to hide in!”

Then Lucinda brought something up.

Lucinda: “But what about Xinqui, we don’t want him to get hurt.”

Xinqui clung to Noi as he spoke.

Xinqui: “Don’t worry about me, I’ll be right by my Papa’s side!” “I won’t let him hurt Papa or my little sibling!”

Noi patted his son’s head and asked a question.

Noi: “I’m glad that you want to stay by my side, Xinqui, but are you sure?”

Xinqui: “I’m sure!”

Lucinda: “Well now that’s out of the way, I think there should be someone with him.”

Pierce was going to volunteer, but then Katelyn stepped in.

Katelyn: “I’ll go.”

The others were confused as to why.

Rhys: “Not to sound rude, but why you?”

Katelyn: “Well first of all, Noi is nearing his due date, and we’re not sure when he might enter labor.” “I’m also good in the medical field, so I’ll be able to help if he does go into labor, and I’m sure Zane has some medical supplies in his lab.”

She turned towards Zane.

Katelyn: “Am I right?”

Zane: “Yes, you are.” “Due to the types of experiments I do, there are some moments when I do get injured, so I keep a lot of things to help heal myself.”

Then she turned towards Pierce.

Katelyn: “And second, I know you want to stay by your family, Pierce.” “But I think you’ll be much more help with trying to stop Jade since you’re pretty strong.” “Are you okay with me being by Noi’s side?”
