Back in Daemos, Rhys and the others were keeping a close and safe distance on Jade to see if they could grab some of the ingredients that’s needed for the tracking spell. They were able to grab most of it but still Jade was able to get the rest that was left.
Leif whispered: “Hey, is it fine if Jade still gets some of the ingredients?”
Rhys whispered: “Well without the specific amount that’s needed, the tracking spell won’t be very accurate.”
Asch whispered: “Come on you guys, we need to keep following him!”
The two nodded and still kept their distance when following Jade. They managed to get almost half of the ingredients since they weren’t easy to find or get.
Asch whispered: “So Rhys what’s next on the list?”
He opened the book and looked at the list.
Rhys whispered: “It says next is nectar from a rainbow petaled orchid.”
Leif whispered: “What!?” “Aren't they only able to bloom after 12 moon cycles?!”
He half shouted that and Asch quickly covered his mouth before Jade could hear them.
Asch whispered: “Don’t be so loud, and yes they do bloom after 12 moon cycles.”
Rhys whispered: “He’s right and they should be in full bloom right now, so better get going.”
The three were able to get ahead of Jade to find the rainbow petaled orchid, they looked around the area and were able to find them above some rocks.
Leif: “There they are.”
Asch: “Leif, could you go and get them?”
Leif nodded and jumped up onto the rocks and saw two rainbow petaled orchids. He grabbed a small container from his bag and started to collect the nectar, before he could get the rest from the second one, they heard footsteps coming so the three quickly had to hide.
Jade: “They should be around somewhere?”
He saw the two orchids and went to get the nectar.
Jade: “The book said that I need one full flower of nectar.”
When he tried to get the nectar, one of them had already been drained.
Jade’s mind: “What, why isn’t there any nectar in this one?” “Maybe the other one will have some.”
He reached for the other only to find out that nearly half of the nectar was already drained.
Jade: “Not much but it will do.”
He got down from the rocks and continued searching for the next ingredient when something shiny caught his eye.
Jade’s mind: “What's that shiny thing over there?”
Leif quickly saw what it was and it was a shard.
Leif’s mind: “Crap I need to get it before he does!”
He quickly grabbed a rock and threw it in the opposite direction to catch Jade’s attention. The other two weren’t aware and were confused on what Leif was doing. The noise did work and distracted Jade, while he was distracted, Leif went to grab the shard without making noise and went back to hiding.
Jade’s mind: “It was just a rock, maybe it just fell?”
When he turned back, he noticed that where the shard was, it was gone.
Jade’s mind: “I guess my eyes were playing tricks on me.”
He just ignored it and went back to getting the next thing on the list. As he walked away, Leif met up with the two and was questioned.
Asch whispered: “Leif, what the heck was that about?”
Leif whispered: “I had to distance him because he was going to grab this.”
He pulled out the shard and surprised the others.
Rhys whispered: “Well it’s a good thing you did.”
Asch whispered: “Yeah, he can’t find those shards.”
Asch’s mind: “We need to do the most we can to keep Noi safe…”
Back on Earth, something caused Noi to sneeze.
Noi: “ACHOO!”
Pierce: “Bless you.”
Noi: “Thanks.”
Noi’s mind: “Is someone talking about me?”
