Chapter 23

Kim offered Jewel to stay with her at her place in the meantime. She did meet Ein, and well, let's just say he tried greeting her with a prank but backfired when she tackled him and put him in a headlock before he promised he wouldn't prank her. She may be kind to those who are friendly but won’t hesitate to try putting someone in their place if they try anything too funny. As the months went by, Noi had seemed to have gotten along with Jewel as they had been friends for many years. Right now; Noi and Pierce are cleaning up their room since they plan to put Xinqui’s old crib in their room for their new baby until they make a new room for them. Once they finished, Noi sat down on their bed to rest.

Noi: “I’ll say this room is all clean up.”

Pierce: “Yeah.”

He agreed while he put the crib close to their bed. Then their son came into the room.

Xinqui: “Is there something I can help with?”

Pierce: “We’re already done cleaning in here, but thanks for offer Xinqui.”

Xinqui: “Okay.”

He walked towards the bed and sat himself next to Noi.

Xinqui: “How are you and my little sibling doing, Papa?”

Noi is nearing his due date soon, so Xinqui just wants to be sure that he is okay.

Noi: “Don’t worry, we’re both alright.”

Pierce sat next to them and asked a question towards his son.

Pierce: “So Xinqui, do you think you’ll get a little brother or a little sister?”

Xinqui: “A little sister!” “But either way, I’ll be happy with either one.”

The couple smiled, and Noi asked another question.

Noi: “Xinqui, you know that I have horns and some magic, right?”

Xinqui: “Yeah?”

Noi: “If your little sibling gets horns or magic, will you be okay with it?” “Since you aren’t able to use any magic and you don’t have any horns.”

Xinqui: “I don’t mind, and I’ll love them for who they are!”

Noi smiled as he hugged his son.

Noi: “I’m glad to hear that.”

He then got up from the bed.

Noi: “I think it’s time for me to head to Lucinda’s for a check-up.”

Xinqui: “Can me and Dad come with you?”

Noi: “That’s fine with me.”

Back in Deamos; Leif is spying on Jade to see when he may leave once the spell is complete. Jade was talking to himself, not knowing that Leif was listening.

Jade: “Just one more day, and I’ll finally find him.” “Now from what I’ve read, the spell should take me to that town I saw in that other spell.” “Maybe after I find him, I can also search for that brat, too.”

Leif’s mind: “So today we have to use the shard and get to Noi before he does.” “Also who the heck is he talking about besides Noi?” “Anyways, I need to get to the others without him noticing me.”

As Leif thought to himself, Jade was also thinking to himself, too.

Jade’s mind: “Maybe I should take some so I can take Noi back here with me once I find him.”

Leif was luckily able to get back to Asch and Rhys and explained what he heard from Jade.

Asch: “So I guess now’s the time we head to Earth, and hopefully, we can find Noi quickly.”
