EYAH'S POV

I cleared my throat when Zel stop running. She was still holding my hand. We are at the oval and it's freaking hot!

"What?" She faced me when I cleared my throat again. Wala kang makikitang emosyon sa mga mata niya, sabagay wala naman ng bago dahil lagi siyang ganyan.

"Y-You're still holding my hands." Agad naman niyang binitawan ang kamay ko at lumayo sa akin ng konti.

Umupo siya sa may bleacher kaya tumabi ako sa kanya. She wasn't talking again. She was just looking at the field that was enveloped by the sun's beaming says.

Napangiti ako ng maalala kung paano niya ako tawagin kanina. I don't know why but it somewhat tickles my heart everytime she says my name.

"Stop smiling. You're starting look like an idiot." Zel broke the ice

"That's harsh, lav." She turned her face on me habang nakakunot na din ang noo.

"I told you not to call me that."

"I love calling you that."

"I hate hearing that."

"You hate everything. I'm not surprised."

"You're talking a nonsense again." She stood up but I held the edge of her skirt using my thumb and pointy finger without looking at her.

"You brought me here without my consent. Stay muna tayo dito kahit 5 minutes lang."

Hindi siya sumagot at hindi din siya gumalaw. Parang may iniisip siya pero kalaunan ay umupo ulit siya.

"Why did you run from your suitors?"

"It's none of your business."

Paano ko siya makakausap ng maayos kung ganyan lagi ang mga sinasagot niya? Kasing laming na nga ng yelo ang boses niya tapos ganyan pa niya ako kausapin.

"It is. You DRAGGED me here." Diniinan ko talaga ang salitang dragged.

"You were in the crowd."

"Kahit na. Dapat hindi mo ako dinamay 'no."

"You looked at me."

"Everyone was looking at you."

"But you're the one I saw."

"Nandoon kaya sila Zei. Rinig pa nga ang boses nila sa cafeteria, eh."

"So?"

"Anong so? Dapat sa kanya ka humingi ng tulong 'no. Kambal mo siya at siya ang owner nitong university tapos sa akin ka pa humingi ng tulong." Reklamo ko at nag cross arms pa.

"Isa pa, nandoon din si Nev sa cafeteria."

"But you are the person on my mind."

Tsk.

"Makikipagkaibigan nalang din ako sa friends mo. Close ko naman na si Nev kaya okay na kami nun pero kay Thea nalang ako makikipagclose niyan."

"Don't you ever do that."

"Why not? Para naman may kaclose ako sa mga agents ng Singh 'no."

"Do you want to die?"

"Of course not!"

"Then keep your distance from my friends, lalo na kay Althea."

"I won't. You're the person I like and I want to know you more."

"Stop saying that you like me. Halata naman na hindi ka sincere."

"I know that you won't believe me kaya nga nandito ako sa harap mo at sinasabi ang nararamdaman ko."

"I'm gonna kill you."

"You're so harsh, do you even know that?"

"Why am I talking to you? You're not worthy of my time."

"But you still talking to me and I'm glad because of that." Nakangiting sabi ko. Atleast ngayon nakakausap ko na talaga siya hindi tulad noon na sa libro lang talaga siya nakafocus.

"Oh, shut up." She stood up and walked ahead of me. She's like a kid that is easy to tease.

"Aren't you coming?" She turned her head toward my direction when she noticed that I was still nailed on my seat.

"Ikaw naman miss mo agad ako." I said

"You're stupid! Stay there forever!" Naglakad na siya paalis kaya dali dali akong sumunod sa kanya.

"I'll see you at the office later." I said before she entered her room without even looking back at me.

Cold and snob as usual.

"Now?" Rence asked on the other line

"I'm at their office, she might barge in and caught me off guard."

"Hindi naman niya alam ang tungkol sa usapan natin? May progress na ba?"

"Siguro may progress na dahil nakakausap ko na siya ng ilang minuto."

"That's my bestfriend!"

"But she's hard to get, Rence. Kung yung ibang babae nakukuha sila in just a minutes or hours, pero siya hindi."

"Zella is challenge even to you, Carter. You're the flirting expert here but you're still struggling."

"Are you mocking me?"

"No. Pero na impress mo na ba siya?"

"That was a failure. Naalala ko na isa siyang Singh kaya lahat ng meron ako ay meron din siya. Baka nakakalimutan mo na mas mayaman pa iyon sa atin."

"Tsk! What's your next plan then?"

"I'll try being a nice girl. Sana gumana naman sa kanya."

"Well, goodluck with that."

"How are you doing at your new school?"

"That's great. I'll talk to you later, may mga kailangan lang akong tapusin na work."

"Okay, take care." I ended the call and kept my phone on my pocket when I heard someone opened the door.

"I have to go home early today. You should go home too." Zel said while staying at the door waiting for me to get out so that she can lock the office.

"That's a great news." I grabbed my things and walked outside.

Naglakad naman siya papuntang parking lot kaya sinundan ko na siya.

"Bye." She said before she got inside her car. She was about to close the door when I grabbed it, stopping it from closing.

"Here. It's red roses. I picked it myself." I gave her a bouquet. Tumingin siya dito at kinuha bago ilagay sa may passenger seat.

"Thanks." She said before she finally closed the door leaving me alone.
