EYAH'S POV

"You knew each other?" Levi asked

"We went to the same university and Zella is my cousin." Thea answered sternly.

"Excuse us." I quickly grabbed Zel's hand and pulled her to the comfort room not minding how Levi looked at us with his questioning eyes. I slammed the door close and locked it.

"Eyah–"

"Are you getting married? With my friend? Mukhang mapaglaro nga ang tadhana." I started while I combed my hair using my fingers and lightly pulled it out of frustation.

"Why did you do it, Zel? Bakit mo pinutol lahat ng connect mo sa akin? Why?! Ilang monts kitang hinanap at hinintay tapos malalaman ko na ikakasal kana ngayon? Nagsuffered ako sa pag iwan mo sa akin bigla ng walang paalam."

"I'm sorry–"

"Sorry? Do you think that word is enough to make things up? Ganun na ba ako kadaling kalimutan? Am I easily to abandon?"

"No. You're wrong. I'm sorry for leaving without even saying goodbye. Something bad happened and I almost lost myself in process." Zel made eye contact with my eyes. Tears are streaming down to her face. I felt a sudden pinch in my heart but couldn't shead tears anymore. I've been so done crying every night ever since she left me.

"Lost? Are you making fun of me? How can be someone who feels so lost be here in Mexico attending a party and getting engaged the next day? Kitang kita ko din na nag aattend ka sa mga show at interview mo. Am I joke to you?!" Parang sasabog na ang puso ko sa sakit na nararamdaman.

Kala ko okay na, eh. Kala ko lang pala.

Hindi siya sumagot at niyakap lang ako tsaka siniksik ang ulo niya sa pagitan ng leeg ko. All I can hear was her loud sob and it somehow calmed me making me realize what I am doing.

"Zel, how can you hurt me this much? Can't I even know the reason? Hindi ko ba deserve ng explanation? Deserve ko naman 'di ba?" Lumayo naman siya sa akin bago punasan ang luha niya at tumingin ng diretso sa mga mata ko.

"Nung gabing bago ako umalis, my grandma died. And the day, my grandpa got diagnosed with cancer." She stopped crying and she heaved a deep sighed.

"That's why I'm granting their last wish before they died. I have to marry the guy that they choose to become my husband."

Parang paulit ulit na pinagsasaksak ang puso ko. May mga luha na din na tumulo sa mga mata ko. I didn't know that I'll ever cry again.

Pagkasabi niya nun ay naglakad na siya papunta sa pinto pero bago pa siya makalabas ay nagsalita ako.

"Have you ever tried to tell them about us? Sinabi mo ba sa kanila na may naghihintay sayo? You told me that you're the happiest when you're with me. Hindi mo ba inisip na kapag sinabi mo sa kanila na sa akin ka masaya ay magiging masaya din sila para sayo? How about your happiness? How about me? How about us? Wala nalang ba lahat ng iyon sayo? Mahal mo pa ba ako?"

Ilang minuto ang katahimikan at wala kang maririnig na ingay.

"Answer me, Lady Zella Serene Kim Singh."

"I don't love you anymore."

I suddenly find it hard to breath upon hearing those words. She doesn't love me anymore. That's it.

The end of us.

I didn't know that love can be too painful at times. I didn't know that love can be this suffocating.

Ilang minuto pa akong nasa comfort room ng maisipan na mag ayos na para lumabas. Siguradong nag aalala na si Thea sa akin.

I sat on the stool and asked the bartender for the strongest drink that they have. Una ayaw pa akong bigyan pero nagpumilit ako. I drank it in one gulp. I can feel my throat burning and the heat spreading all over my body. Humingi pa ako hanggang sa makita ako ni Thea.

"Easy there, Eyah."

"She told me she doesn't love me anymore." I laughed sarcastically. "Thea, she doesn't love me anymore!"

Thea looked at me with a pity in her eyes and doubt in words that I relayed.

"She said that?"

"Yeah. I asked her and she told me that. Mukhang hindi nga siya nahirapan sa pagsagot, eh." I responded before I drank another glass and asked for more.

"The chains is still on her. But there's only one way to check if what she said was true." Sabi niya at tumingin sa paligid na para bang may hinihintay na tumingin sa amin.

"How?"

"Come closer." I did what she told me to do. Our face was already too close to each other, our nose are almost touching.

"What now?" Nagulat ako ng tignan ako ni Thea ng diretso sa mata at ngumisi. I know I'm a bit tipsy but I still can't deny how beautiful she is. Kung hanggang ngayon crush ko pa si Thea baka siya yung niligawan ko.

My eyes widened when Thea placed her hand at the back of my neck and pulled me for a kiss. I was taken aback with that she's doing. I don't even understand why my lips are responding to her kisses. She's like a pro who is manuevering the intimate gesture that we're doing. I was about to pull myself away when Thea bit my lower lip and slid her tongue into my mouth which made me let out a moan.

The next thing I knew, my hands was already on her waist pulling her closer to me and feeling all turned on not minding how many eyes are watching us.

"That was cool." Napabalik ako sa ulirat ng marinig ang boses ni Levi kaya napatigil kami ni Thea sa ginagawa.

Thea winked at me before I turned my gaze to the persons who interrupted us. My eyes immediately landed on Zella who is currently looking at me furiously.

Affected ba siya? Ito ba yung sinasabi ni Thea na gusto niyang icheck? This is better than I expected.

"Sorry, things got hot that I didn't feel your presence earlier." Sagot ni Thea at tumingin kay Zel na parang pinapatay na siya sa isipan nito.

"Sorry for interrupting but I just wanted to invite you uptairs. We got drinked there too."

"Sure. Let's go, Thea." Hinawakan ko naman sa waist si Thea at inalalayan paakyat.

I can still feel Zel's stare on us in a very great degree. We sat in front of them while we continued our act.

Ang pinagtataka ko ngayon ay wala ang mga kapatid ni Zel. Wala din ang ibang pinsan nila dito. Engagement party ni Zel pero wala akong makitang mga Singh dito? Maliban kay Thea, ah.

Hindi ko na din pinansin pa si Zel baka kasi mawala ako sa control at hilain ko siya palayo sa magiging asawa niya.

"Thea, I'll go out for a minute to answer this call." Paalam ko ng makitang may tumatawag sa akin.

Thea kissed my cheek before I found myself walking toward the empty balcony. I was welcomed by the cold breeze but I still feel like burning because of the alcohol in my system.

"Just arrange the schedules for me. Thank you!" I ended the call and put my phone back in my pocket. I took a step back until I touched the wall. I closed my eyes and rested my head on the hand surface feeling the breeze on my skin.

Nakarinig ako ng mga hakbang palapit sa akin kaya napangiti ako dahil siguradong sinundan ako ni Thea papunta dito. I didn't open my eyes although I can already feel a minty breath verging on a tip of my nose.

"I know I'm gorgeous as hell, Thea. Stop staring at me." I slowly opened my eyes but to my surprise, it isn't Thea.

It was Zella Singh!
