ZELLA'S POV
I thought I was doing right thing all by myself. I thought I can do well without Eyah. I know I wasn't happy for ghosting her because of the consecutive strifes that our family had to deal with. I thought with time, I'll be okay.
But I was wrong.
Napakaselfish ko sa mga plano na ginawa ko. Hindi ko man lang din naisip ang mararamdaman ni Eyah, for hurting her intentionally. Wala akong lakas ng loob para sabihin sa kanya ang mga nangyayari sa buhay ko, sa family ko. I don't want to be pitied by her.
Yet in the end, I choose the wrong option again. But I'm glad that our path had crossed unexpectedly. And I'm glad na hindi pa huli ang lahat para sa aming dalawa.
"Zel, you are supposed to be preparing for the engagement party, why are you here?" Mommy Seren asked at halata ang gulat sa mukha niya.
"I have to tell you something, mommies."
"What it is?" Moma Zeki asked seriously
I exhaled deeply before I spoke.
"You know that I tried to love Levi. I really did. He's a nice guy and I know that he will be a good partner to me but I can't. Hindi ko kayang suklian ang pagmamahal na binibigay ni Levi dahil meron ng nagmamay ari sa puso ko. There was this person who changed me and made be believe that true love exist. I want to cancel this engagement." I looked at them with sincerity in my eyes while they just stared at me, stunned what I've said.
"Ang bagal mo kumilos, Zel." Nagulat ako ng makita na nandito din sila Zei kasama ang girlfriend nila.
"I hate you for not telling us the truth." Zen said and rolled her eyes on me.
"Zen is right, Zel. Kambal mo kami pero sinarili mo ang lahat. Feeling ko tuloy wala akong kwentang kapatid."
"I'm sorry. I just did that for you, for all of you."
"Is it about Eyah?" Mommy asked
"I'm sorry, mommies. I'm sorry if time I'll choose myself. I'll choose what I want."
"Don't be sorry, baby. It's fine. Don't apologize for the things that makes you who you are." Agad na lumapit sa akin ni mommy at niyakap ako
"Your mommy's right. Kung gusto mong icancel ang engagement, then you have our support. Alam mo naman na simula nun ay ang gusto namin ang kasiyahan mo. Dapat nga kami ang magsorry sayo dahil hindi namin alam na may usapan pala kayo ng grandpa mo. And I'm sorry for that, hmm?" Niyakap din ako ni moma at hindi ko alam na umiiyak na pala ako sa harapan nila.
"I told yah, Zen. Zel is kind. Look at her, she's crying in front of us."
"Thank you, mommies."
"Atleast ngayon pipiliin mo na ang sarili mo. Matagal na namin sinasabi sayo na piliin mo din ang sarili mo pero hindi mo ginagawa."
"Dahil ayaw ko po na sila Zen at Zei ang makaranas nito. Ayaw ko po na mawala ang kasiyahan nila lalo na po si Zei. Baka hindi ko na po siya makitang maging energetic."
"Ahhhh, kaya lablab ka ni Zei, eh." Tumakbo palapit sa akin si Zei at niyakap ako.
"Sama ako." Sabi naman ni Zen tsaka lumapit din sa amin at nakiyakap.
Tumingin ako sa fiancé nila na nakangiting nakatingin sa akin tsaka tumango.
I was so dumb for not trusted them instead of hiding and letting myself suffer. Indeed, family is family. They will always be at your back, supporting you till the end.

EYAH'S POV
"I'm sorry, Levi." I bowed my head as I uttered those words.
Zel told him that she wanted to call the engagement off. Nandito kami sa café, si Zel ay nakaupo sa tabi ko habang nasa harap namin si Levi.
"Don't be angry at me. You're a good guy. I know you'll be the perfect husband to be but I am not fated to take place as your 'wife'. I'm really sorry–"
"I am not angry, Zel. And stop saying sorry, you two." Nagulat ako ng ngumiti si Levi sa amin. Wala din mababakas na kahit anog sakit sa mukha niya.
"Actually, I was just waiting for Zel to call it off. I hate fixed marriage too, but I don't have guts to go against my parents that's why I played along. Zel was nice and perfect too, so why not right?"
"You're not angry at me? Are you telling me that everything's okay between us?" Zel responded
"Ilang beses ko bang uulitin? Seryoso nga ako na okay lang macancel ang engagement."
"Hala, nagtatagalog kang tanga ka?" Hindi makapaniwalang sabi ni Zel kaya nagkatinginan kami ni Levi at sabay na natawa.
"Stop laughing, you two." Pagtataray ni Zel kaya napatigil kami sa pagtawa.
"I hope you find someone who will make you fall head over heels." Zel said
"Sa tingin ko nahanap ko na last night." Levi responded while grinning.
Madami pa kaming pinag usapan bago nagpaalam si Levi na aalis na dahil may mga meeting pa daw siyang kailangan puntahan.
Levi is such a very nice guy. Ang swerte ko na siya ang naging partner ni Zel dahil alam kong naalagaan niya si Zel.
I quickly turned my head toward Zel's direction when my lips accidentaly brushed against her. Hindi ko alam na sobrang lapit pala niya sa akin.
"I didn't–"
"Shut up, Ey. You'll be punished for this."
"Punished? Me? Aksidente lang iyon, ah. And besides, aren't we? You know? Back together? So okay lang na makiss ka kahit na walang–"
"You will still receive a punishment." Zel said coldly
"What punishment?" I asked, katakot na mga tingin, eh.
"Kiss me."
