ZELLA'S POV
"Zella, can you have a date with me?" I looked boredly at the guy who was leaning to my locker.
I guess it has started. Nagkaroon kasi ng intramurals dito sa ASU. Si Zei ang nakaisip doon kaya sinusunod lang namin siya.
But damn her! She didn't tell me na may paganito ang plano niya. Kung sino daw makakapagdate sa mga officers ng ASU or sa mga agents ng Singh, may mataas na points na makukuha at may ibibigay na regalo si Zei sa kanila. This is to test whether they are persuasive enough to win us over for a date.
I know it is part of her experiment.
Kung anu ano kasi ang pumapasok sa utak ni Zei at gagawin nalang kapag napagtripan, eh.
"No. Get lost." I said using my monotone voice which made him disappear from my sight in a rush.
I pull all my books inside my locker and decided to head towards the office. My afternoon class are not all done that's why I need to attend to my unfinished work as a SSG President.
"I don't want to go on a date with them!" Trix complained as she throw herself on the swivel chair.
Ey just laugh at her funny expresion but Nev remained emotionless while looking at her.
I need to manage all of the things. Thea, Luna, Erika and Olivia are still competing in the region at next week pa ang balik nila. Kakakilala ko lang din sa kanila at isa din silang model at nakatrabaho ko at napag alaman kong dito din pala sila sa ASU nag aaral.
"Go on a date on me, Trix." Ey suggested. She is a business student and I think it won't be difficult for her to comply to this project since she has Trixie and Nev.
Napansin ko na napapalapit na sa kanya si Nev pero hinahayaan ko lang. Hindi ko pwedeng kontrolin ang buhay ni Nev.
"Saturday will be a perfect for a date, right? I'll fetch you!" Eyah cheerfully said
I just continue typing on my laptop while unintentionally eavesdropping on their plans.
"Hindi pa ako pumapayag sa date mo, Carter." Trix said teasingly which made Ey pout.
"Then I'll kidnap you!"
"Thanks for informing me, I can now hide."
"Nah, kahit saan kapa magtago makikita parin kita."
"Tsk! See you on saturday, Eyah. Mauna na akong umuwi." Paalam ni Trix
"I have to go too. Bye, Zel." I heard Nev before dragging Trix outside.
I just nod to acknowledge them.
An hour had past but nobody dared to talk. I looked at Ey who was busy arranging the papers. She wasn't even looking at me. It still irritates me everytime I remember how she left me in the bleacher a while ago.
"You," I said in my low voice
"Hmm?" She replied, still not looking at me.
"Why did you leave earlier?" She suddenly stopped doing what she's doing.
"I-I was.....n-nature's call?"
I let out a soft laugh because of her innocently honest response, then I get back to my poker face when I realized what I just did.
"Did you laugh?" Ey asked, her eyes are on me.
"You heard it wrong. I didn't."
"Come on, it's just us here. Can you laugh again?"
"I'm still in my right mind."
"Dapat pala nirecord ko. Sa susunod na tatawa ka sabihan mo ako para marecord ko."
"You're crazy. It's time to go home."
"Ngayon na?"
I nodded. "It's already 9pm."
"I want a longer alone time with you." I scoffed. That was bold and I didn't see that coming.
"Too bad, we don't feel the same way."
She grabbed her bag and she headed out first. I locked the office before I found myself walking behind her.
Eyah is unpredictable. Sometimes she's sweet, sometimes she don't try to notice me at all, sometimes she's too loud, and sometimes she's too quiet.
She's a mystery that I want to unravel. I don't even know if she's true to her words because at some point, she is inconsistent. Kung ibang babae lang ang haharutin niya malamang makukuha na niya agad.
Ey stopped walking when we reached my car then she turned to me.
"What?" I asked when her eyes darted on me. She's obviously blocking my way.
"You should laugh more often. You look good when you're smiling and you even look better when you laugh." Ey said while looking at me. There was sincerity in her eyes and for some unknown reason......
It made my heart race!

"Zel, ikaw yung representative ng team natin. Kulang tayo sa mga members at wala ng time para magtrain pa ng bago." Coach said as he sat down on his chair.
Hindi naman bago sa akin kung ako ulit ang maging representative. Nangyari nadin ito last year, buti nalang may alam ako sa pagkakarate kaya ako ang naging representative nila last year kahit hindi naman ako nag training sa kanila.
"You opened the tryouts, right? How was it? Did you find people who needs no training?"
Pwede naman pumasok sila Zei dito dahil may alam din naman sila pero ibang laro pala ang sinalihan nila.
"We did. I think those three are enough. This is gonna be risky pero sinabi nila na may alam sila sa pagkakarate, they know the rules and training no longer needed. Wala na din tayong oras."
"That's okay. They're joining lowly events and I'll be dealing with the real competition so don't worry too much."
"I know you can do it, Zel. But one of those three is really promising. You better check her out."
"What's her name?"
"Eyah."
"Eyah?"
"Yeah. Eyah Carter."
