☁️ HARRY ☁️

I had never met someone quite like Lana. She was completely fascinating and every time we touched, I then couldn't seem to get her off of my mind for another two weeks. She took everything I had to offer, but I wasn't mad at her for it. I was thankful that she had come along at a time like this. She seemed to be exactly what my heart was looking for at this moment in time.

The shifts with her seemed to be flying by and I can't believe it had already been a whole month of working alongside Lana. They say that time flies when you're having fun. I was loving every moment with her. It all just felt so natural and so right, everything was just falling into place and I couldn't help but acknowledge how perfect we were together.

We weren't in a relationship, and I don't think we would ever head that way, much to my dismay. It was just a bit of fun, that's how Lana was viewing it, at least, I think that's how she was viewing it. I wasn't so sure she wanted a relationship, I wasn't so sure she wanted to be involved in anything serious. She already had a lot going on, I don't know if she'd really appreciate me adding to her list of responsibilities. I wasn't sure if she could handle the stress.

She hadn't seemed right over the past week, something was bothering her but she hadn't been brave enough to reach out to me. I had to pull her aside at one point because she seemed so out of it, like something else was just on her mind and she couldn't get it out of her head. She had assured me that she was fine, just tired after Harmony's school had phoned her and told her that she had a temperature and wasn't feeling too well, Lana had said she was fine after having some calpol, but having to pick her up from school had meant that she didn't get to sleep and so she was practically running on fumes at this point.

She looked exhausted, anybody could see that. She looked as though she had really been through something and I wasn't sure if she just wasn't telling me something or if she really was just tired. She looked a lot paler than usual too, something was definitely going on with her but she just waved me off and assured me she was fine, nothing a cup of tea couldn't fix. I wasn't so sure, I was even tempted to get her on a bed to take her obs, I wasn't convinced that she was just tired. Of course, she denied it immediately and pushed me away as if I was stepping just an inch too far. I took that as my sign to back away.

But since then she seemed to have gotten at least a few hours of extra sleep, but she was still looking a bit pale and bleakly, she still didn't look one hundred percent but I didn't want to push her. I didn't demand answers and I took a step back, just like she wanted me to. It wasn't my place to start quizzing her on how much sleep she's getting or if she's well enough to work, she had a daughter at home, of course she was due to be tired. She had had a rough shift yesterday too, she had helped deliver a preterm baby in the car park, the baby wasn't doing too well and I knew it was playing on her mind a lot more than she'd admit. Those were the type of patients that stuck with you.
