☁️ HARRY ☁️

"But what if they don't like me?" Lana worries incessantly before she had even stepped foot into my home. All she had done was drive over here and knocked on my door, and from the second I opened that door, she immediately started to reel out everything that could possibly go wrong.

Lana had decided not to come over to meet my family on Boxing Day, so we didn't end up telling them about the baby, though she had told her family and apparently their reactions were positive, though Lana said she could tell that she weren't expecting it and seemed very much shocked about our news. She said that Grace had been incredibly fond of the idea, though her parents were more for practicality and were wondering how on earth she was supposed to afford it all. It was a valid question to have, but I'd be here every step of the way supporting them all. They didn't need to worry about a thing.

Lana and I had spent nearly every day together after that. We had both been back to working nights, though Lana had requested a few more days off than I had over the Christmas period. If we weren't working together then we were usually just cuddled into one another on the sofa whilst we watched Harmony play, a lot of the time she'd come and snuggle up with us whilst we watched a film together. I would find myself drifting off into a deep sleep, only to be woken up by Lana's soft hand on my cheek telling me that I should really be getting to work soon.

I had near enough unofficially moved into Lana's flat this past week, though there wasn't really much room for me there, I was pretty much bound to the sofa as there wasn't anywhere else for me to go. I even ended up bringing some of my own clothes and toiletries to her flat which really solidified the thought of us moving in together. Though we couldn't all live in Lana's flat. It simply wouldn't work. We were only there for practical purposes, mostly for Harmony, if I had it my way, we'd all be in my own home with plenty of space for Harmony to run around and play, she'd have her very own bedroom and a garden to explore.

There was so much waiting for them here, I just needed them to be brave. But I understood it was a lot to ask of them, their little flat was their whole lives, they had everything there and asking them both to live here was a big jump that I wasn't entirely sure they were both ready for just yet. It'd be a work in progress I think.

"Lana, they'll love you" I assure her for the millionth time before she steps into the house to meet my family for the very first time. We also planned to tell them our big news, but that was all dependent on how comfortable Lana feels. I wasn't going to pressure her into doing anything that she wasn't comfortable with. This was all her call.

Harmony was hiding behind Lana, clutching onto her leg with none other than Paddington in her hand, she hadn't even said hello to me yet. Usually she runs right into my arms and she'll happily stay in my arms for as long as she could. I hadn't known her so shy. But this was all new to her, she hadn't ever been to my house before and I'm sure Lana had told her that there would be a lot of new people to meet which I'm sure was making her a little nervous.
