Kiara couldn't get the sound of the gunshots out of her head, her ears ringing even over the sound of the pouring rain. How far were the Cameron's willing to go to keep their secrets? How many people were they willing to kill? Would it ever be enough? Would any of them ever be safe again?

"Holy shit," Pope grabbed Kiara's sleeve of her shirt and pulled her down as Ward looked in their direction, "Get down, get down." He waited a few seconds, making sure to keep his hand on her shoulder to keep her from getting up and being seen as he carefully peered over the edge. "He's looking for something." When he was sure that Ward was more interested in running back down the stairs of the building than looking in their direction he let go of Kiara. "He's coming out."

Kiara crouched on the balls of her feet, resting her hands on the ledge, "What's he doing?"

Pope recorded every second of Ward from the moment he walked into the building until the minute he just ran out and everything in between. Ward was on the sidewalk frantically searching for something in the stream of water that ran down the road from the rain, "I think he's looking for the gun." Pope gasped and at the sound Kiara's head whipped in his direction needing to know what was happening. "I think the gun just went down the drain!"

"What is wrong with you?!" Kiara stood up, screaming over the rain, because as much as the Cameron's thought they were untouchable she wasn't going to rest until they were found guilty and John B was able to come back home. "Murderer!"

Pope nearly dropped the camcorder as he slapped his hand over her mouth and pulled her back behind the ledge where she couldn't be seen or heard, "What are you doing? Are you crazy? Jesus, you were just yelling at Maddie for the same thing."

"So what?" Kiara snapped at him, getting more than angry that these people kept getting away with everything. Besides, it wasn't like she was trying to shoot him just get his attention. "And, I don't care if he hears me. He's a murder just like his son!"

Pope wanted to argue with her, to tell her that he needed her on his side because he couldn't be the only sane person left in their group, but Ward was staring up at them. "Kie, he sees us. We gotta go." He grabbed the rung of the metal ladder and started climbing down, wanting to be the first one on the ground just in case Ward found a way to them quicker than expected then at least she would be safe.

Kiara followed, trying to get down as quickly as possible so they could run, but in her haste ended up stepping on Pope's hand causing him to not only scream out in pain but to lose his grip. In all the commotion he fell to the ground, landing on the camcorder in the process as Kiara began apologizing over and over again that she hadn't been watching where she was stepping.

"No, no, no, no, no," Pope checked the camcorder that had been busted open where the tape goes and his heart sank. It was all for nothing. Every last second of evidence that they had was gone. Worse yet, he had to now go back and look Madison in the eye and tell her they were right back to where they started from.
