My Alien Princess

Chapter 8

I woke up pretty late since it was Saturday Starfire and I aren't going to meet up with Garfield and Raven for awhile, and since StarFire has been the one making the breakfast I decided to give her a break. I went into the kitchen and towards the fridge gonna have to make a trip to the store soon maybe tomorrow. I made us a simple breakfast of eggs, bacon, and toast I made them how I did. I don't know how Starfire likes hers but, I'm sure she wouldn't mind it either way. She was excited to finally have somewhere to go, I guess I do own it to her she had been keeping the house clean.  Plus for a alien who didn't understand much of anything she knows how to cook apparently she learned it from watching cooking shows on the TV, I haven't thought about Barbara since she came here. I should do something more for Starfire, she said that everything I have done for her is enough. But I don't think it is, I suddenly hear her door room open giving me a sign she's awake, however she doesn't come into the kitchen but goes into the bathroom instead. I guess she wants to get ready for the outing with Garfield and Raven, besides the other day when I took her shopping for new stuff. Starfire will be going out for basically a full day, we agreed that we would meet at around lunch time we plan on going to have some sandwiches before we go to the aquarium. It should be a fun day for us, Starfire then walks into the kitchen looking absolutely gorgeous, she's wearing a short sleeve white and yellow shirt. Her long red hair is brushed neatly falling against her back, she has on flats and is wearing yellow and white stripe pants. It is a simple outfit but it doesn't mean she doesn't look beautiful, I could feel myself start to blush but I fight against it after what happened with Barbara I have no interest in being with anyone ever again. She smiles at me as she walks towards stopping in front of me she's a few inches taller than me but that's fine I don't mind it one bit. "Hello there Robin it is a wonderful, beautiful morning is it not? I am ready to go out with you and your friends". Starfire tells me giving me a beautiful smile across her face, I could feel myself smiling back at her. Her positive attitude making me feel a bit happier than usual. "Good morning Starfire yes it is a beautiful morning, we aren't gonna meet with Raven and Garfield until later but seat have some breakfast". Starfire smiles nodding  her head as she sits down at the table, I walked over with our breakfast setting the plate in front of her. I then got us some drinks I got myself a cup of coffee and for Star Fire I got her some orange juice. I sat down and started eating my breakfast along with Star Fire a comfortable silent fills the room as we eat, I look at Star Fire wondering if she is enjoying her breakfast. I cleared my throat looking at her. "Hey so are you enjoying, your breakfast? It's not as good as yours. But I figure you deserve a break because you're the one, who's been cooking all of our meals". I told Starfire trying to not, sound too much like a jerk I used to cook for Barbara and I all the time, she did not know how to cook and I'm sure Bruce isn't interested in her cooking since he has chefs for that anyways. Starfire smiled at me softly nodding her head, her soft lips looking kissable. She had placed red lipstick on her lips and I start to wonder how they would feel on mine. "Yes this is very good thank you Dick, it has been awhile since you have, done the cooking I guess I sort took over I'm sorry". Starfire tells me softly looking at me with a bit of sadness in her eyes. I look at her gently before shaking my head. "No don't be sorry, you haven't done anything wrong so please don't think you have. You've been a great help to me the truth is, that I stopped having home cooked meals like this because my girlfriend cheated on, me with a close friend of mine it's been forever since I've had someone actually be happy to see me, I'm thankful for you Starfire thank you for cooking for me". I tell Starfire looking at her I have no idea why I said it. But if it helps ease the worry in her mind then I don't mind doing it for her, she has been a great help to me since she has arrived. "Thank you Dick, I'll continue on cooking for you whenever you need". Starfire says it makes me smile then we eat again after we are done we clean up and finish getting ready, for our outing with Garfield and Raven we finish cleaning then Starfire said she wanted to, watch some trash tv I agreed and we sat down with some drinks watching some reality TV. I watched the show feeling a bit bored, while Starfire on the other hand looked entrained by it. I chuckle a bit happy that she was enjoying herself maybe today would be fun after all.

Time skip to 12:00 PM.

", Alright ladies and Dick are you guys, ready for the best day ever?! ". Garfield asks us he has, a huge grin on his face. Raven blushes a bit a smile spreads, on her lips as she looks at Garfield her usual grumpy face. Is replaced by a small smile she nodded her head. "Yeah I guess so but, this better be a good date Garfield remember you get one chance to impress me", She reminds him as we started heading towards the aquarium he grins and loops a arm around, her shoulder as we walk inside of the building. "Don't you worry Rae Rae ya boy Garfield is gonna make sure, you have the best first date ever!". Garfield cheers loudly grinning.  The usher tells him to be quiet and not to disturb anyone else, Starfire and Raven share a giggle as Garfield chuckled a bit. I smile watching the three of them have a laugh, I smile a little walking with them as we enjoy looking at the many creatures in the aquarium. "So this is what you humans call an aquarium? A place that the, fishes, dolphins, and other sea creatures. Go to be free?". She asks me her green eyes curious about the fishes. "Yeah you can say that sometimes they, let them go though so they can be with their families again". Starfire smiles at me nodding her head as we walk behind. Raven and Garfield they seem to be enjoying themselves, like Starfire and I are it's nice to be doing something on the weekend instead of being stuck in the house. I haven't been anywhere like this since Barbara and I broke up, but I am enjoying myself with my friends and Starfire. This was just what I needed to be around friends, new friends and old friends we were going to invite Victor but he said. He didn't want to be a third wheel even though I told him Starfire and I are just friends, he didn't seem to get that I am not ready to date just yet but whatever it's fine. Starfire looks excitedly at some fish guppies and puffer fishes, I love how excited she gets at new things it's the most adorable thing ever and I find myself grinning and enjoying myself we finish off by seeing some dolphins they were amazing Starfire really liked those, they did a bunch of tricks for us too. I found myself actually enjoying myself then I thought I would even Raven and Garfield seem, to be having a great time together seems like this date really was a good idea for the two of them. After the aquarium we decided to go grab a bit to eat Garfield picked out this vegan restaurant that wasn't actually too bad, the food was actually really good normally I wouldn't eat anything like this but it was actually really good. We ate and had a great time together I stole a glance at Starfire who was happily enjoying her meal while chatting with Raven, Garfield leaned towards the table using a hand to cover his mouth, and whisper into my ear. "I'm so glad to see you happy dude!", He whispered yelled in my ear as he spoke to me, causing me to raise a eyebrow before I realized what he was talking about about. I raised my hands up before shaking my head almost like a dog. "Oh no Garfield, it's not like that Starfire and I are just friends. Nothing more nothing less I'm not looking, to date anyone for awhile after what happened with Barbara. Besides I'm sure she just sees me as a friend". I tell him to make it clear I wasn't looking for anything, he seems to understand because he doesn't say anything else about it, which I'm glad he doesn't we enjoy the rest of our time together then head home, I was pretty happy that Starfire had a great time. She deserved to have this time spent with Raven and Garfield, she definitely needed to have some fun. I realized that I have been keeping her cooped up inside of the house, with me working and being too tired to do anything more than to just watch TV. Starfire should be enjoying her time on Earth instead of always being in the house but, the problem with that is that she doesn't know the area too well and I can't, always be by her side because of work. But I had an idea on how to help her get to places she wanted to go without me and I think I know how I'm going to help her just need to work hard and be patient with her but it'll be worth it to help her get out of the house more.
