Chapter 17

I woke up early this morning and made breakfast for everyone, I made omelettes how everyone likes then I made muffins, eggs, pancakes, and waffles I wanted my friends to leave with full bellies since they were gonna be leaving before lunch. I hummed softly hearing the sound of feet walking towards the kitchen, I turned around seeing Raven already awake her short dark purple hair, in a mess. She looked like she had a rough night sleeping, which is weird considering that she roomed with Karen and Starfire. Starfire and I had a little one on one time together last night, it was a perfect end to a perfect day for me. "Hey Raven how did you sleep last night?". I asked her as I was finishing up with breakfast. "Pretty great honestly, sorry for how I look though. This is how I normally look when I get up in the morning, you have comfortable mattresses". I nodded my head as I started fixing plates. "Well since you guys were, standing the night I figured that I would just buy some comfortable mattresses. You guys deserve it too". I tell her softly turning around looking at her, I give her a smile and she gives me one back. Starfire walks into the kitchen with a beautiful smile on her face. She hugged Raven then me causing me to blush and for Raven, to have a smirk on her face. "I woke up to the smell of breakfast, where are the others?". Star asks as she still holds onto me. "Their still asleep but I'm sure they'll be up soon". Rae tells Star as if on cue Karen and Victor walk into the kitchen chatting away. They then stop as they see us me, with Starfire clinging to me and Raven sipping on some coffee. Karen smiles at me softly as she walks towards the tea and coffee. "Thanks Dick this looks amazing". She picked up a glass of hot tea and took a sip of it. "Ah this is just what I needed, a nice cup of early grey to start the day". Karen smiles sipping on her tea. Garfield comes in with his hair on in mess rubbing his eyes, groans and blinks looks at everyone. "Hey guys good morning beautiful". Garfield tells her as he walks over to her, giving her a peck on her cheek, its my turn to smirk as she blushes darkly from the peck he gives her. Raven looks away sipping on her coffee, I chuckled a bit as I placed the plates on the table. Then make everyone's drink order, we sit down and start to enjoy the food. "Dick this food is awesome!". Garfield tells me as he eats his veggie omelette. Victor hums in agreement as he enjoys his sausages and bacon. "Yeah this is great, we'll do this every time there's a vacation". Raven eats her pancakes. "I admit your cooking skills, has definitely approved since then, these pancakes are so fluffy it's like I'm eating something from a restaurant". Karen smiles and eats her waffles. "Do I taste a hint of vanilla in these waffles?". Karen asks as she eats happily. I nod my head looking at her. "Yeah it helps bring out the flavor a bit, did the same with the pancakes". Bee nods her head. "You're a really approved, like Raven said you did". Bee tells me grinning ear to ear at me. I found myself smiling blushing a bit at their compliments of my cooking, I wasn't all the best at cooking at times but I'm glad I have improved. "Thanks everyone hey if you guys are free, maybe we could do something after this. Go see a movie or something". I tell everyone looking at them. "Sure dude I don't have work until tomorrow". Garfield tells me smiling hugely at me. Victor chuckles softly. "I don't have any clients so I'm good". Karen looks at me smiling. "I could stay for a bit, my family is still here but my parents told me I could spend the night last night, they know I'm always helping out". Bee tells us as we nod our heads as to what she was telling us. Raven nods her head giving me a nonchalant expression on her face."Sure but I wanna make a try to the bookstore, there's a new shipment of books that's out and I wanna see what they got". Raven tells us, her love for books are even more greater than mine and Starfire's. We all agreed then continued to eat our food, it had gotten cold because of our talking. But we didn't care we talked, laughed, and enjoyed the food, after breakfast everyone did their part in cleaning up. Then took turns getting dressed and ready for today, we watched some trash reality tv first. I think it was new Jersey housewives they were fighting over something stupid as always, crying and throwing stuff at each other. We laughed at how ridiculous these ladies were, "Does anything need anything from the kitchen or, are you guys good until we leave?". I asked going to the kitchen to get a drink. Raven then looks at me. "I'll take some ice tea". Raven tells me then Karen  takes her turn to speak. "Water for me please Dick". Garfield grins at me. "I'll take some root beer please". He tells me then Victor nods his head holding up two fingers. "Make that two root beers dude". Starfire smiles at me getting up from her sit. "I'll come help with the drinks Dick". I nod my head as we head into the kitchen, I grabbed the bottles of drinks that everyone wanted then gave half to Starfire, we went back into the living room and passed out drinks. Before we took our seats again and watched the show it was nice to, be able to do this with everyone since we are all normally busy with our jobs. It was a nice change of pace to do this with everyone.

Time skip to everyone leaving.

After we went out with everyone they had went home, we went out to eat, shopping, went out for boba, and went to the park to end the day. It was fun but I was exhausted. Starfire and I were relaxing on the couch, Starfire was running her fingers through my hair, while we watched Good grief. it was a pretty good movie it was about a man losing his husband, then he took his two best friends on a trip. It was a pretty good movie he learned how it's okay to let go of someone, it was a great movie I heard Starfire yawn. Taking that as a sign I turned off the TV, then I helped Starfire from the couch she smiles at me gently kissing my cheek. "Today was really fun we should do it again, I can't believe Bee beat you all in the basketball game. She was absolutely amazing, we'll have to play a game of basketball one day. And that pizza place was delicious we'll have to go back there again, I can't believe Victor ate a whole slice of pizza in one bite!". Starfire laughs at the memories that we shared with the others. I let out a chuckle joining in on her with the laughs. "The look on Garfield's face afterwards was priceless, he shouldn't have betted the 80 bucks that Victor couldn't eat the whole thing himself". I chuckled more as Starfire giggles. "I hope we get to all do it again, you're going to miss Raven when she quits aren't you?". Starfire asks me as we stand in the hallway outside of her bedroom, I nod my head gently shoving my hands into my pockets of my PJS. "Of course I will, but I understand Raven wants something new and I support her. One day I'll leave that place and open up my own restaurant, but it's not my time yet so I'll b upe a little more patient". I tell Starfire softly, she looks at me with admiration smiling at me softly. "I support you for whatever your heart desires then Dick, I'll be with you 100 percent of the way. Starfire tells me wrapping her arms around my neck pulling me into a hug, within seconds I am wrapping my arms around her waist hugging her back, smiling softly against her shoulders. We pull back and noticed how close we are to each other, how our faces and lips are close I can feel her breathe against my face. I groan softly as I pull away from her, stepping back I clear my throat before speaking. "I'll see you in the morning Starfire, we'll have cereal for breakfast in the morning. Like how you want to have them". I tell her softly looking at her. "Goodnight Starfire sleep well, sweet dreams". I smile at her gently as she gives me a smile back. "Goodnight Dick sweet dreams". Starfire tells me before giving me one last hug before she retreats into her bedroom, as I head to bed myself mumbling under my breathe. "Dick you coward".
