I groaned doing work on the computer I thought about Star Fire how I wished I was at home with her I wonder what I should make for us tonight when I get home from work. Her being in my life has changed but she learned how to cook from YouTube videos she made pancakes for us today before I went, to work my coworker Garfield came up to me as I was typing on my computer his green hair messy his tie unstraighten he had a coffee mug in his hand. "Hey Dick come to lunch with me I'll pay for it". I looked up from my work at him with a small smile "Sorry I can't I have to get this done before I go home try asking someone else I'll have lunch with you tomorrow", He sighs from me turning him down for lunch before nodding "Sure but you're buying we're gonna get tacos tomorrow" I nod my head not saying anything else then he leaves and I get back to work Garfield is a great, guy to have around at work don't get me wrong but sometimes I wonder how he keeps his job. After getting the work done I turn it looking at my watch I see that it reads 7:00 pm I start heading to my car when I see my ex Barbara with Bruce my boss that's right my boss took my girl I hated him for it, why am I still working for a scumbbag like him you might ask? Because I need the money I'm also, the best employee that he's got so he raised my pay but it doesn't change the fact that he betrayed me. They were flirting he was grinning at her while she batted her eyelashes and played with his tie I cleared my throat causing them both to jump looking at me with uncomfortable looks on their faces, I gave Bruce the papers before walking out of the office I didn't give them a chance to say anything. I just wanted to leave and called Victor to meet me at the bar I needed a drink he agreed to meet me I walked out of the building getting into, my car driving off quickly heading to the bar to meet with Victor I didn't bother telling StarFire where I was going. I just called her telling her not to worry about having dinner ready for me I told her to get her something to eat and make sure she gets some rest there's something about her other than the fact that she is a alien princess from a different world she had told me she got framed for something she didn't do. So I told her to keep a low profile when she goes out whenever she wants to I park my car at the bar outside noticing Victor's car already there I get out of my car walking into the bar, my eyes search for Victor until I see him waving me over at the table seeing he's already order us food and alcohol I take a seat next to him grabbing a glass of whiskey putting the glass to my lips taking a drink the liquid feeling warm in my throat Victor looks at me with a concern look on his face "Let me guess you saw them together right?" He knew I only drink when I see the two of them together I know I should just let it go but it hurts, when you see your girlfriend in bed with your father figure/boss I let a sigh escape my lips nodding my head "Yeah I did I saw them together". Victor sighs heavily taking a swing of his beer "You really need to get over her anyways let's eat and drink", And that's exactly what we did.
