Chapter 13

I groaned softly as the sun came through, the window of my living room hitting me in my eyes. I slowly opened my eyes blinking letting my eyes adjusted to my surroundings as I look around the room. Looking down I see Starfire sleeping in my arms, her head is on my chest while her right hand rests on my stomach. I feel warm inside like I've just drank a cup of hot coffee, I'm surprised I'm not a blushing mess like last night. Thinking about how I finally got to spoil Starfire last night by cooking for her, and making the ice cream sundaes for her. I feel good about that because she's been helping me a lot lately, she's taken on more than she should and today will be the day I spoil her a bit. I gently shake her awake as she stirs under me, she let's a groan escape her lips as she mumbles softly. "Morning Dick what time is it?". She asks still laying on me, her head on my chest. I smile at her softly before I speak. ", It's 8:39 am we slept, in a bit but that's okay I'll make us something to eat". I tell her again this time a bit louder than before, she sighs softly before getting off of me and straighten up. She stretches letting out another groan, she gets up from the couch and heads towards the kitchen, with me following behind her. "I'll make us some iced coffee, for today then that should go well with breakfast". Starfire says as I work on the waffles for us, I made us some strawberry waffles for today. I hummed softly as I cooked our waffles, soon after they were done I placed them on the plates decorating ours with strawberry syrup, whipped cream, and chopped strawberries. Starfire looks over my shoulder as I work on our waffles, she smiles softly then goes back to making our coffee, she adds vanilla creamer, whipped cream and chocolate sprinkles on top of our drinks. Starfire and I work together cleaning before we sat down enjoying eating our breakfast, it's a nice silent breakfast as we enjoy it. "So I was thinking after we get ready, we can relax for a bit before going to our spa appointment it's at 12:00 and it's still early we can have some lunch then get ready to go". I tell Starfire as we eat she swallows her food before talking. "Sounds like a good idea Dick, I might have a nap after getting ready though I hope that's okay". Starfire tells me softly as we come to the end of our meal. "Of course you can, you don't need my permission for anything". I tell her just as softly as she tells me, she nods her head smiling gently as we clean our dishes and cups. I went to get ready for the day hoping into the shower in my room, I have a separate bathroom too but that's for company usually. I'm lucky to have this place, I am surprised I can even afford it though. I put Starfire as another person living with me so the landlord didn't freak out I told them, she was a friend who needed a place to stay. They were kind enough to allow her to stay with me, thankfully they ever asked me questions about her either. I hummed softly as I got ready for today, it was gonna be a great day Raven texted me that her and Garfield will be together so she's gonna put us four at a table together, im happy they'll be with us. I hope if Barbara is there though, she won't cause problems, I don't want my ex causing drama with my best friend tonight. I sighed softly as I got ready for the spa there was still plenty of time, until then I think we'll be gaming for a bit, I went into the living room Starfire had already set up the gaming system for us. I chuckled softly as I walked over to her, taking my spot on the couch. "I see you are already setting the game up, can't wait to play again huh?", I asked Starfire letting out a soft laugh as she giggles softly looking at me. "Yes I love when we get, to play together, I look forward to our gaming sessions, whenever we have time to do it". Starfire says in a soft voice as she sits next to me, we always make Saturdays our gaming sessions. But since we have to go out tonight we decided to have a gaming session early, we picked Mario VS. Donkey Kong for it this time. "Yeah sorry Star I wished we had more time to play but we can, play with the others more tomorrow Garfield is bringing us something tomorrow, I'm sure whatever it is we'll have fun". I told Starfire softly sharing a smile with her. "Yeah I'm sure we will, I am excited for tomorrow". She smiles brightly as I grinned back at her. Before pushing the button to start our gaming session for the day.
