Chapter 19

And that's exactly what we did, we had fun with Starfire we did things we never did before. We went out to the clubs and danced our butts off, we went to a all you can eat sushi and ramen restaurant. Enjoyed many times of ramen and sushi, we hung out at the others house and had a camp out at Raven's house. Went to Karen's house for help test taste telling her pies, she plays on finally opening up her own brakey soon we test tasted pies, cookies, donuts and other delicious baked goods she was planning on selling. We approved of everything enjoying ourselves Starfire finally learned what a sugar rush and a sugar crash was the same day, we laughed until our stomachs ached. We hung out at Victors place he made us some of his delicious meat loaf, homemade rolls, mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese. It was delicious and we enjoyed it Victor even made us chocolate cake, he said since Starfire was leaving she deserved a taste of his home cooking since she was leaving Saturday. We went to Garfields place and watched all sorts of anime, one anime he was in love with was Inuyasha. He explained to us about the characters, while Raven, Victor, Karen, Raven, and I were all confused Starfire took a interest in it listening to Garfield as he geeked out over it, we then played a bunch of video games and he made us his famous nachos, they were covered in cheese sauce, vegetables, salsa, sour cream, and rice. They were honestly amazing. I sighed softly as today was the last day for Starfire to be here, it was gonna be just Starfire and I today. The others thought the two of us needed some time together, we had a bunch of late night talks out on the roof it was tough but Starfire needed to get home to her family. She had been here long enough, and although I didn't want her to leave I couldn't do that to her I couldn't force her to stay with me. Not when it was her chance to go home and straighten everything out with her family, with the aliens of her home town. Starfire luckily didn't need a male to help her with her planet thankfully she could do it herself, I was relieved when she told me that. Call me selfish all you want to but I didn't want to think about Starfire going back to her home planet and getting married to some good looking alien prince. I checked myself out in the mirror checking my hair, making sure it was perfect I was dressed in a brought blue shirt and black pants. Today was the last day I was gonna be able to spoil Starfire, the others was planning on giving her some gifts at the party later on I had a special gift for her too, I looked down at the necklace in my hand it had our initials written on it. I also placed a picture of us together we decided to take a picture together when we went to the mall with everyone. The picture was of me kissing Starfire's hand looking like a gentleman a smile was on my lips as I kissed her hand. Starfire was also smiling down at me, she had a blush across her face, it was sweet and cute as we enjoyed ourselves I sighed softly walking out of the bathroom then saw Starfire waiting for me, she had on her outfit from the night we first met. This is the only time other than that time, she has worn it she thought it would be better to wear it when she arrived home. She still looked beautiful. I smiled at her gently offering my hand to her. "Ready to go?". I asked her softly looking at her, she smiles at me and nods her head taking my hand in hers gently. We walked hand in hand to our first spot Waffle house, I wanted Starfire to have their breakfast again. We got our drinks and our food thanking the waiter who served us. I got waffles, bacon, and eggs for my breakfast while Starfire got herself waffles and fruit salad. We enjoyed our food as we spoke about things and how everyone was handling the new changes in our lives. "So Starfire are you ready to go home?". I asked her gently staring at her. She sighs softly resting her hand on her cheek. "I guess so I mean, I've been enjoying my time here with you and the others so much Dick I had forgotten about home before Galfore had reached out. My sister and I do not have the best relationship, like I told you before. For some reason she has always hated me, always have been jealous of me". Starfire rants to me about how her sister has never been the loving type before, she sighs heavily going back to her meal and I do the same after we finish, I pay the bill and leave a huge tip. We got up and left after that, we went back to the aquarium like we first did with Garfield and Raven. I wanted her to see the sea creatures and finishes one last time, we got our tickets and entered. Since the sea turtles were Starfire's favorite we went there, they were slow moving but the smile on Starfire's face was sure we made the right choice, she then pointed at the smaller sea turtles grinning from ear to ear. "Look Dick the bigger sea turtles created small ones! Their so adorable! I am so glad we got to see it!". She squeals with excitement and happiness, I smile at her softly watching the sea turtles a bit more then we moved onto the dolphins. They swam around and jumped in the air doing a few tricks we laughed enjoying the little show the dolphins hey put on, we continued on with the aquarium looking at every single sea creatures, and fishes. It was a nice day even though she was gonna be leaving soon. We didn't spot at the gift shop though since there Starfire didn't want me to keep spending money on her even though I told her it was fine, but she insisted that one day when she came to visit again I could buy her something she told me and everyone that she would come back to us someday. She gave us some device so we could keep in touch with her, I have no idea how she got it or if she had anything on her person when we first met but apparently she did. We went to the deli to pick up a order I had gotten us fruit salad, chicken salad sandwiches, different types of cheeses and bread. I stopped at a different store and got us some white wine, I wanted to make it special for Starfire it was going to be a special date for us. I made sure we had everything before heading to the park, it was a nice warm day the birds were chirping beautifully. We soon got there parking the car, we got out of the car grabbing the stuff as we headed towards a shady tree. I helped Starfire with spreading the blanket on the ground, I smiled softly as we sat down beside each other. "This is wonderful Dick thank you, for bringing me here". I smiled at Starfire gently looking at her. "No need to keep thanking, Star I wanted to do this for you". I tell Starfire chuckling softly as I take the food out and fix our plates while Starfire fixes our drinks. We enjoyed the food it was delicious and fresh, the strawberries were my favorite part. Starfire seemed to have enjoyed the chicken salad sandwiches, she was loving them we sipped on our wine and finished it we didn't leave though, rather we just talked about the future what lies for us. Starfire runs her fingers through my hair, as I lay in her lap it was nice I wished I had done this sooner. This feels nice I'm gonna miss Starfire a lot, I sit up and look into her eyes then to her lips and back to her eyes noticing that she is looking at my lips as well. I don't know who leans in first but I do know is when our lips touched I felt my heart race, in my chest I cup Starfire's cheeks in my hands while hers lay flat on my chest. Our eyes are closed as we kiss it is a sweet, soft, gentle kiss, this kiss makes me forget about all of the women who I have shared kisses with. We soon pull away from each other blushing softly, Starfire then sighs softly running her fingers through her hair looking away from me. I looked at her confused as I looked at her. "What's wrong Star? Didn't like the kiss?". Starfire looks at me with tears in her eyes. "No I loved the kiss Dick, it's just we shouldn't have done it. I'm leaving tonight we should have not kissed, I say I'm coming back to you guys but I can't know for sure if I am or not". She tells me as she cries her hands covering her face. I sighed softly looking at her. "No I think we should have kissed, I know you said you don't know if you are coming back or not. But I believe one day you will, and if not then that's okay too, your people need you more than me. I'll be okay Starfire and I know you will too". Starfire looks at me before wrapping her arms around my neck pressing her lips against mine, tears spill out of her eyes as she kisses me. I kissed her back after a while before pulling away wiping the tears away from her eyes, hugging her tightly as she hides her face against my neck. I held her close to me as I whispered in her ear. "We'll be okay Starfire I promise". We held each other for awhile before we pulled apart from each other and cleaned up then headed to the car we, went back home and relaxed for a bit, tonight was gonna be the hardest ever but I had to be strong for her.

Time skip to the party

I walked with Starfire towards the party the others were already there, but I had to distract her while the others ran into the backyard. They had decorated the backyard for the party while we were out, we walked into the backyard smiling as everyone ran to Starfire hugging her tightly. One by one everyone pulled away from her and presented their gifts to her. Karen was the first one to give Starfire her gift. She had made Starfire some homemade chocolate, up next was Raven she gave Starfire a romance mystery novel. Then was Garfield who gave her some games and a game console, Victor then gave her his old jacket it was black and leather. Her eyes grew in excitement, she grabbed the jacket and placed it on herself adjusting the jacket and fixing the sleeves. "It fits perfectly! Thank you so much Victor!". Victor chuckles softly looking at Star grinning from ear to ear, his arms crossed over his chest. "You're welcome Star I had it talored for you and thought you would like it, plus you definitely make it work more than me". Victor smiles as Starfire pulls him into a tight hug, I smile stepping and clear my throat, as I got her attention she looks at me softly smiling at me. I smile back at her revealing a necklace with our names together, she blushes deeply as I do the same. "I got this for you, figure since we couldn't be together here. We can be together in space at least". She tears up covering her mouth with her hand. "I love it thank you Dick". I smile softly as I got behind Starfire, I gently moved her hair out of the way so I can place the necklace around her neck. I hook it gently then step back, smiling as she has a huge grin on her face. She kisses me which causes the others to smirk chuckling softly, she pulls back still smiling while I'm grinning like a idiot. We then enjoy the rest of the party together, we eat the food that everyone brought, we play a few video games and watch anime together. Garfield explained to us once again about the characters of a new anime he was watching called, Demon Slayer it was a really great one but we couldn't watch them all together, we told stories about anything and everything. We had a dance off and of course Karen won the 90 bucks, she was happy she won that. The girls went to speak to her as me and the guys sat around speaking. "So are you gonna go back to work Monday?". Victor asks me looking at me, I nod my head and sip on my drink. "Of course I will, I know you guys are worried about me. But I spoke to Starfire and hopefully we can make it work, if not then it'll also be okay". Garfield looks at me with worried. "We're going to be with you until Monday anyways we'll do something fun. We can go to as many places as you want to". He tells me knowing that I'll be broken hearted but I'm putting on a brave face for now. I nod my head to Garfield not really speaking anymore, I watched as Starfire, Raven, and Karen are looking at us a few times, before looking away giggling. Causing me, Victor, ans Garfield to blush and smile at them like a couple of love struck idiots, soon it was time for Starfire to go she had the gifts that Raven, Garfield, and Karen had given to her in a big gift bag. While she wore mine and Victor's gifts, she turned to us with tears in her eyes. "Thank you all for, welcoming me and helping me while I was on your planet. I will never forget the kindness that was brought to me, I shall return again some day once I find a person who will rule my kingdom and protect them". She tells us softly, I sighed softly walking up to Starfire pulling her into my arms for a finally hug one by one the others join in on that hug. We stand there for a few minutes before pulling apart, "See you later Starfire we have those devices that you gave us. So we'll be seeing you". Raven tells her softly giving her a smile, she smiles back and nods. "I will make sure to keep in contact with you all". She looks at me one finally time before taking off back to her home planet, I watch her until she disappears into the darkness of the sky going back home. I then fall down to my knees and finally release the tears that have been threatening to come out all day. Everyone rushes to my side placing their hands on me, as I cry having to say goodbye to the girl who stole my heart. I then look up at the sky whispering under my breathe. "Goodbye Starfire, I'll never forget you".
