"What?" I asked. "I said I think I am falling in love with you" David restated. Emerald was in shock. She didn't know what to say. Deep down she wanted to say she was too, but she couldn't. It was bad enough she just had sex with him.

She liked Antonio, and she wanted to see where things would go with him. "Put me down" she said, still in shock. The both got themselves together in silence. "This stays between us. Antonio can't know"

"I just told you that I'm falling in love with you and that's all you have to say?"

"David you broke up with me! You told me you didn't want to mess things up with your wife! I stayed away and met someone trying to move on from you, and now you're mad about it? Isn't this what you wanted?"

"It's what I thought I wanted. Those weeks I didn't see you, I was miserable. I missed you so much"

"Well that's too bad. Things don't work on your time David" David shook his head. "I'm sorry. If you don't want me back I understand. I'll still feel the same way about you" he said walking up to me. "See you around" he gave me a kiss on the forehead and walked out, leaving me in thought.

I was literally two minutes away from clocking out when I got a call coming through my office phone. "Hello?"

"Hi Emerald. This is Ashlyn. Long time, no speak"

"Yes. I'm sorry about that. I've been busy with work. How are things going?"

"Fine sweetheart. I wanted you to stop by the church. We're having our annual festival. You can invite someone if you like"

"Okay that would be great"

"And I was thinking we could talk about the whole baby situation"

"Oh yes!" I had totally forgotten. "That would be fine. See you later"

"Alright honey, see you later"

When I got home, I called Antonio, inviting him. He agreed to come. I got in the shower, and got dressed. I threw on distressed black jeans, a white v-neck, leather jacket, along with some white huaraches. I wore my hair in a messy bun, and decided to go all natural.

Antonio arrived at my house around 6:45. I grabbed my purse and we left. I decided to drive to there, since I knew where the church was. "So how was your day gorgeous?" I smiled. "It was ok, yours?"

"It was pretty good. Busy as usual, but good"

"I'm surprised you were able to get the night off" He chuckled, showing off his pearly whites. "I know. I'll just have to work overtime all night tomorrow" I frowned. "I'm sorry" I said feeling bad. "No worries. I love spending time with you" I smiled and nodded my head. We had small talk until we got to the church. It was pretty crowded but it looked like fun. They had a few rides, and a ton of games.

"I guess it's our first date part two" I laughed. "Maybe" I said. He grabbed my hand, and we walked into the festival. I immediately spotted David and Ashlyn. Ashlyn saw me and smiled, but something seemed off.

"Hey Hun" she said and hugged me. "Hi Ashlyn. Hi Pastor. Ashlyn and David, this is Antonio. Antonio this is Ashlyn and David Wright. They own the church" they shook hands.

"Yea I know David from the office" Antonio said. "Office?" Ashlyn asked. "Yea he stopped by earlier to discuss more about the advertising project I did for the church" Ashlyn nodded her head. "Oh ok. Well you guys enjoy! Emerald if it's ok I would like to see you in about a hour, to you know, talk" I nodded my head.

I turned to Antonio. "You ready?" He nodded his head and smiled. We played a couple games, and ate. I was now on my way to meet Ashlyn. She wanted to meet me inside of her office in the church. I was walking in, when someone pulled me into the restroom.

I was about to scream but I saw it was David. "Hey" he said.

"Hi"

"So what do you guys have to discuss?"

"She still wants me to be you guy's surrogate" He just sighed. "So I see you brought him" I nodded. "Why?" I laughed. "What do you mean 'why'? We're dating"

"Y'all only been on one date. How is that dating?" I smacked my lips. "Why does it matter? We like each other" He just sighed. We sat there in silence for minute. David leaned down and kissed me. I pulled away. "You don't get to kiss me anymore" He left me again, for the THIRD time today. For some reason, I felt almost empty.

I left out after a while, and went to meet Ashlyn. "Sorry, I kinda got carried away with the time" she laughed. "That's ok. But anyways, I would still like for you to be the surrogate" I nodded my head.

"I would like you to have the baby as soon as possible"

"Ok but I would have to see how Antonio feels about dating a pregnant girl" I laughed but she didn't. "So how long?" She asked. "Have we been dating?" She laughed. "No. How long have you been having sex with my husband?"

"Excuse me?" I asked shocked. "Don't act surprised. I'm not stupid. I see the signs. I knew it from the first day we met you" I was at lost for words. "Look Ashlyn, I'm sorry. Things are over between u-" she cut me off.

"He loves you, I can tell. But that's ok" I looked at her crazy. I wasn't into threesomes or anything. "Don't flatter yourself" she must have read my mind. "You can make this right" she said. "How?"

"You're gonna give us this baby, and disappear. After you have this baby, I don't want you nowhere around here. I didn't tell Ms.Ruby, I'll leave that to you. But I'm giving you simple instructions. David will no longer come near you, and neither will you come near him. I tried to get Antonio to distract you, but that didn't do any good seeing as though my husband can't stay away from you"

"What if I don't decide to have this baby?" She laughed. "Then you'll feel my wrath sweetheart" she smiled. "You can leave now. We're done here, for now"
