7. TMI

Work so far today has been slow. Just responding to emails, and making power points. Zach has been trying to make me jealous by parading his new girl around the office.

It was starting to get annoying, especially because I know he still wanted me.

Ashlyn invited me to lunch at their house, to talk about me being their surrogate and the arrangements. She wanted to make me lunch to show appreciation of me agreeing to carry their baby.

When I got to their house, it was huge. A house I was currently working my ass off to achieve. I know David had a construction company, but it made me wonder what Ashlyn did for a living.

She met me at the door, smiling wide. "Hi Sweetie, come in" she said after giving me a hug. The inside of their was house looked even better. "Can I take your coat hun?"

"Sure" I said smiling. After showing me around the house, we sat down and ate. Ashlyn ordered food, I later on found out. She admitted that she was still learning how to cook.

"So Ashlyn, I was wondering how old are you? You look very young"

"Don't flatter me" she said laughing. I laughed along. "But I'm 28"

I nodded, taking another bite of my pasta salad, which was absolutely delicious. I'm going to have to ask her the name of this restaraunt later. "What do you do?" I asked.

"I'm in school for nursing" I nodded. "How's that going?"

"It's ok. Not as bad as I thought"

"Well good luck" She smiled and thanked me. "So would you like a boy or a girl?"

"I was hoping for twins but I'll take whatever the good Lord sends my way" I smiled. She was really excited, I could tell. "I can't wait. David and I have been trying for the longest. And there's something you don't know about your pastor, he's a freak honey!" she laughed.

I gasped and started laughing. "I mean we would fool around everywhere, and his hands would be on me all the time! Just yesterday, we were in the mall and he tried pulling me into the dressing room"

I swallowed uncomfortably. I knew David was a freak, I knew that very well. "TMI Ashlyn, I don't wanna know about what you and the pastor do behind closed doors"

"I'm just saying! But I just don't understand why we haven't been able to have a baby yet" I grabbed her hand. "Well now I'm here, and I'm more than happy to help give the child you've always wanted" she smiled and hugged me. "You're a blessing"

The front door opening broke me from my thoughts. David walked in with his business attire, making me squirm uncomfortably in my chair. "Hello Ladies"

"Hi Baby" Ashlyn said getting up to hug and kiss him. "Hello Pastor" I said and hugged him. "It's Daddy to you" he whispered in my ear. I pulled away.

"Honey I gotta go, I have class in 30" He nodded his head and Ashlyn said bye to us and left. I looked down at my watch, seeing I had 20 minutes to get back to work. "Well I better get going. My lunch break is almost over"

I grabbed my purse, walking to get my coat but David grabbed my arm. "You really thought you could just get away like that?" I giggled. "David I'm going to be late. Zach is already on my ass"

He slapped my butt, making me yelp. "Me too"

"David are you like this with everybody?" I asked snatching away from him. I don't even know where that came from. He grabbed me, "Baby what's wrong?"

"Nothing never mind, I don't know where that came from"

"Are you upset with me or something? Is it something I did?"

"No David" I said walking over to him grabbing his belt buckle. "Today was kinda stressful, I think I just need some"

He grabbed my hand, slapping it away. "No come here" he said grabbing my hand, leading me to the living room. He sat down and pulled me onto his lap. "Tell me what's wrong"

"It's nothing. Ashlyn was just telling me how you tried to pull her into a dressing room to fuck her yesterday and I was just trying to figure out how long it would take before you pulled that on me" I snapped.

David looked apologetic. "I don't know why she told you that"

"I shouldn't care anyways David. I knew you were married before we starting sleeping together"

"Is that all this is to you?" he suddenly asked. I looked at him confused. "Well what is it supposed to be? We didn't really make a plan to do anything else"

He shook his head. "David we have to draw a line between us somewhere. After I get pregnant, we're done. I can't continue on like this. I want a relationship, to fall in love with somebody, marry them, and hell have my own kids!"

"No one else can have you but me, and who said you can't have those things with me"

"Polygamy is illegal in New York"

He giggled. "But honestly, I see us being more than this Emerald"

"I don't see this turning out well David"

"Me either baby, but I feel like it'll work itself out"

"It better David, or a whole lot of shit is gonna hit the fan, and it won't be the slightest bit pretty"
