Beacrox stared him down. "You're absolutely sure you can cook?

"Yes. It's also an easy recipe, so you don't have to worry about your kitchen."

The torturer sighed. "Fine, but I'm supervising the whole time." The scary man was holding a knife threateningly, sending shivers down Cale's spine.

Making bibimbap again brought a smile to Cale's face, though he had to suppress records of making the dish with Jung Soo and Soo Hyuk. It was done before he knew it, and he jumped when Beacrox leaned over his shoulder to inspect it.

"What is that?"

Cale didn't think of how to play this off... "It's-"

Cale woke to the familiar sensation of On and Hong jumping on his chest. He groaned, sitting up after he was sure they wouldn't fall, then rubbed his eyes gently. They looked way less healthy already. Shit. He was starting to question how much of this 'laying low' was worth it, because their eyes were sad.

The records from his dreams were pleasant last night, easy to shake off – though they were, strangely, memories of his time in Roan instead of in Korea. Looking around showed that most of the people in the station were awake.

There were also more people in the station, perhaps from other stations for one reason or another. Were they destroyed by something or was it a sub scenario from a different dokkabei? Was it a dictator like Inho that had been successful in ruling a station?

For some reason, their group was getting looks of suspicion again. Damn.

Well, it was for the best. The more people that trust you, the more people that end up relying on you and end up dead. Speaking of, Han Myungoh, who was the only one of them to have killed someone, had disappeared somewhere.

A poke to his side drew his attention back to his immediate surroundings. It was U-Jin, who was looking up at him curiously. "When do you think we can go home?" the little boy asked.

Cale frowned. In the apocalypse he was familiar with, people only started regularly living in houses after the first twelve years. Before then, people gathered in large groups for safety purposes.

"I'm sorry, but I don't know. Is your home near here?"

"Mm..." U-Jin started to count on his fingers. "It's ten minutes away I think."

"By train or walking?" At this point, he was getting some strange looks, but he ignored that. It wasn't as if he was trying to stalk the kid.

"Train." U-Jin's expression dulled. "Am I gonna see my parents again?"

This... Cale didn't know what to do. They couldn't exactly walk to his house, and it was a possibility that U-Jin's parents weren't even alive anymore. He was at a loss for words.

Ra Haneul cut in. "Hey, why don't we focus on keeping you and Min Joon healthy so your mama and papa don't get upset when I give you back?"

U-Jin turned away from Cale to hug his grandma.

Cale focused his attention on Joonghyuk, who was staring at them with an unreadable expression. He seemed content enough to stick around, but he definitely wasn't happy about it. Was he waiting for something? The brooding man's eyes locked on his, and Joonghyuk gestured for Cale to follow him somewhere. Cale didn't feel like getting killed, so he was about to refuse, but it was getting very awkward to sit around by a pile of dead rats with people he barely knew.

Cale stood up when Joonghyuk did. He held On and Hong in his arms, unwilling to leave them behind when they had to pretend to be normal cats.

- I will follow you to make sure you don't die! If he even tries to hurt you, I swear I will kill him!
