"Do we have to bring everyone? We only need nineteen more Demon's Proof, after all," Shik asked.

Si-Woo gasped, placing a hand on his chest. "Never split the party! If you do—" He looked around conspiratorially. "—bad things happen."

"We've split up before, though. What could possibly happen?"

"Death, humiliation... boredom... it's best to just stick together."

Shik sighed. "Fine, but we'll look stupid."

"Stupid gets views," Si-Woo rebutted. "Also, never split the party."

Ra made her way to the front of the room, holding a bag full of semi-healthy snack foods and water bottles. "Is everyone ready?"

When nobody said they weren't, the group headed out, turning down a new hallway. The wallpaper was gouged into and peeled away by claw marks, the indentations casting long shadows onto the hard floor. The next hallway they turned down looked the same, and so did the next, and the next, and the next.

Cale hoped they could find their way back after this. At this point, he would have to use Record to remember how to return to their claimed room.

"Where are all the demons?" Igneel complained. "Shouldn't there be a lot of them just wandering around?"

Cale sighed. "If there were, we likely killed them all during our last battle."

"Oh yeah, that would make sense. Still, I'm bored! I thought we weren't supposed to be bored if we stuck together!"

Sang-Ook raised his hand. "I could use my skill."

A few people gave a hurried denial, the rest of the group sheepishly agreeing that they couldn't trust him completely quite yet. Some were quick to assure him that it was simply a lack of trust in his control, but not everyone seemed to agree.

So, they kept wandering until they finally came across a singular demon. It began lumbering toward them at a snail's pace.

"Did we kill most of the demons in the castle ourselves?" Ji-an asked incredulously, staring at the ugly beast.

Si-Woo stroked his chin with his free hand. "Perhaps they only respawn at a certain rate or at a certain time, like in a video game."

Jee raised his hand, then asked, "Can I kill it?"

"I wanted to kill it though," Ingeel pouted.

"So did I," Shik added, cool as a cucumber.

Ra clapped twice. "If you want to kill it, raise your hand."

When eight people raised their hands, those eight stared at those that didn't in confusion.

"Hana's sleeping," Chung-Hee explained.

Min Jung shrugged. "I killed enough of them yesterday."

The rest of the group with their hands down nodded, most of them suddenly looking exhausted. Cale couldn't blame them. He's tired even though he wasn't fighting for a good chunk of the demon rush.

"You eight, please play rock paper scissors to decide who gets to kill this demon. Next time we find one, 'call' it as soon as you see it, and if there is confusion as to who 'called' it first, play rock paper scissors. You may need to be very fast with this process – none of the other demons were this slow," Ra said.

The demon was only halfway down the hallway. Granted, it was a very long hallway, but its movement was slower than a business meeting.

After a tournament of rock paper scissors, Jee won, running forward and slashing at it with his knife. The demon, surprised, was open to the attack; the knife cut right into its neck. It was a shallower cut, however, so Jee quickly cut the same area again to ensure that he cut through the artery. Slippery, unnatural demon blood sprayed from the wound. Jee had to move out of the way to avoid getting drenched in it.
