Fight forever

(Concert)
*Chad POV*
Today is the concert and I have a feeling Alex doesn't want to do it anymore. She keeps on moving farther away as the time of the concert comes closer. I finally decide to approach her.
"Hey Alex" I say
"Hey Chad" she says
"Is everything ok" I ask
"Yeah. Everything is perfect" she says
"Alexandra don't lie to me I know something is bothering you" I say
"You're right Chadwick. I don't think I can do it" she says
"What do you mean? I know you can do it" I say
"No I can't. Chad I'm to afraid. I'm going to end up passing out or something" she says
"And if you do I'll be there to catch you. We're all scared at some point but God will be there to catch us. He will brush the dust off our pants and tell us to do it again. The thing is we shouldn't challenge God's power. We need to do what Jesus did when the devil tempted him to jump off the top. We know God will catch us but we can't take the risk of testing his powers. The devil wants you to say no to performing or come up with these things just for you to test God's powers. You can't let him win. You need to fight forever. You need to be strong and courageous. Don't raise that white flag. Fight forever! Win the battle with and for the king of our universe forever" I say
After I'm done saying all that I sing fight forever. As I'm finishing up I hear clapping. I turn around and see the guys clapping. I guess the walked in as I was talking.
"That was great" Joey says
"Beautiful speech bro" Caleb says
"Your brothers right Alex. He's actually very accurate for once" Alan says
"I know he is. I have to fight this war with and for God" she says smiling
"That's the smile I was waiting for" I say
"I love you Bub" she says
"I know. I love you to sis" I say
I give her a hug then we pull apart.
"Why don't we go for some lunch before the concert" Alan says
"I'm not hungry" I say
"Me neither" Alex says
"Ok we'll be back later." alan says
"I'm not hungry" Joey says
"Yes you are" Caleb says
"I guess I could eat" Joey says
They leave and I turn on the tv. We all chose to just hang at my house until its time to head to the venue. I have no idea why I agreed to that.
"Alex I want you to know that iI'm proud of you no matter what" I say
"I know Chad. Sometimes I just try to be better than I actually am to please people. I always got jealous of how easy it was for you and Gabby. I always got compared to you two by teachers and other people" she says
"Alex, how did you get judged by people if you were homeschooled" I ask
"No I got homeschooled after Gabby died. Mom and dad were afraid that if I stayed in public school I would turn out like Gabby and try to kill myself" she snaps
"Alex calm down. You don't need to get mad about this. It's okay. If you want you can go back to school instead of being homeschooled" I say
"No. I don't want to chance getting made fun of" she says
"Ok" I say
I go into the kitchen and start making myself a sandwich.
"I thought you weren't hungry" she asks
"Oh I was but I wanted to talk to you and I didn't want chick fil a" I say
"Ok. Well can you make me a sandwich" she asks
"Sure" I say
I make each of us a sandwich then I go to the living room and hand Alex her sandwich and I turn the channel to girl meets world.
"Hey Chad do you know where my green high tops are" she asks
"I think they're in the kitchen where you took them off" I say
"Thanks" she says then gets up to get them
I see that she's limping.
"Alex how's your ankle" I ask
"Good. It hurts just a little bit when I put weight on it" she says
"Did the swelling go down" I ask
"Almost" she says
"We should probably wrap it up and have you ice it before and after you perform with us" I say
"Ok" she groans
I get the ace bandage and wrap her ankle. After I wrap her ankle I go to the kitchen and grab her an ice pack. I wrap it in a towel and gently place it on her ankle. The guys walk in with their food.
"So when are we heading out" Alex asks
"Soon" Alan says
"Alex has the swelling gone down at all" Caleb asks
"Yeah. The swelling is almost gone" she says
"Ok good" he says
The guys finish their food and we head out. Alan drives, I sit next to him. Joey sits in the way back and Alex and Caleb sit in the middle. We get to the venue and take a tour of the place. Afterwards we go the room backstage for us and get ready for soundcheck. I take the ice pack from Alex and put it in the freezer.
"Just get it from the freezer when the concert is over" I tell her
"Ok" she says
We pray then head out on stage. We sing a few songs then I get ready to introduce my sister.
"Ok so as some of you may know my parents died a little bit ago and I took my little sister under my wing. She's here with us tonight and we wanted to know if you want to hear her sing a few songs with us" I say
The crowd cheers and I go back stage. Alex gets on my back and I carry her up. I set her on a stool next to mine. We sing a bunch of songs. The guys walk off and Alex and I sing a few songs together. Once we're done she gets off stage and we finish up the concert. After its over I hurry back stage.
"You did amazing sis" I say
"Thanks bub. You weren't to bad yourself. I think you could of sung higher" she says
"I agree with you" Caleb says
"Shut it mr. Mario grammar freak" I say
"Well we have to go to meet n greet. You wanna come" I ask
"Sure" she says
We walk out to the meet n greet and she sits in a chair next to me.
We get through the meet n greet then head back to my house.
Alex did you ice your ankle again yet" I ask
"No" she says
"You might want to before mr. Grimm yells at you for not doing so" I suggest
She gets the ice and hobbles over to the couch. She sits down and turns on facing the giants. I sit next to her on the couch.
"I'm proud of you" I say
"Why" she asks
"You conquered your fear" I say
"Oh I guess I did" she says
"You did" I say then kiss her forehead
"I love you bubby" she says
"Love you to sassy" I say
"Hey I'm not sassy" she says
"Yeah you are" I say
"Yeah I guess I am. You better live with that because you have to" she says
"Whatever. I'm probably going to schedule a doctors appointment for you. You keep hobbling on that ankle and it probably got worse" I say
"Ok" she says
We finish the movie and I carry her up to bed.
"Goodnight sis" I say
"Night Chad" she says
I go to bed and drift off to sleep.

*Alex POV*
I wake up and try to put pressure on my foot but my ankle hurts to much. I pull my phone out to text Chad.
A-my ankle hurts to much to put pressure on it
C-I'll be right there
He comes in and carries me downstairs. He puts some ice on it then walks off to call the doctor. He comes back five minutes later.
"The doctor said to take you straight for x-rays" he says
"Ok" I say
Chad helps me put one show on them carries me to the car. We get to the hospital and he picks me up and carries me inside. He goes
Tot he front desk and gives the lady my name.
"Oh yes. You can take her to room 113. A nurse will be in there shortly to take her for x-rays" she says
He thanks her then takes me to that room. He puts me on the bed and sits I the chair next to it. I nurse comes in and takes me to get some x-rays done. I come back later on. We find out that my one bone in my ankle is fractured. I need to get surgery and I'll be in a cast for 1-3 months. I get prepared for surgery then get taken back.
*Chad POV*
Once Alex gets taken back I remember that I didn't tell the guys. I pull my phone out and text them.
Ch-hey so I took Alex to the hospital to get x-rays and she fractured the ankle that we thought she sprained. She's in surgery now
A-poor girl. I'll be there later on
Ca-I told her not to hobble
J-shut it Caleb. How long will she have a cast for
Ch-about 1-3 months
J-ok
Ch-she's coming back from surgery now. See you guys later.
I put my phone away and talk with the
Doctor.
"So come back in a month for us to check everything out and then she'll get the cast off in two months. After that she'll have to wear a boot for a month" the doctor says
"Thank you" I say
The doctor leaves and Alex wakes up.
"Hey sis. The guys will be over later on and you can leave tomorrow" I say
"Ok" she yawns
"Get some sleep. We can chit chat later. You need rest" I say
She nods and falls asleep. As she falls asleep the guys arrive.
"Hey dudes" I say
"Hey bro. How is she" Alan asks
"Good" I say
"That is wonderful. When does she come home" Caleb asks
"Tomorrow morning. I'm probably going to spend the night" I say
"Ok. We were just coming to see Alex but since she's asleep we'll come back later" Joey says
"Wow guys thanks for keeping me company" I say
"Oh we are but Joey has somewhere to go" Caleb says
"Ooh does Joseph have a special someone" I ask
"Yeah. I have a lunch reservation soon with my mom" he says
"Well you mustn't keep your mother waiting" I say
"Thanks for your approval" he says
"Yep" I say
He leaves and the three of us talk about stuff the Alex wakes up.
"Hey kiddo" Caleb says
"Hey" she says
"How you feeling" Alan asks
"Alright. Chad am I able to leave today" she asks
"Why" I ask
"Please" she begs
"Let me ask a doctor or nurse but I expect you to tell me why later on" I say
She nods and I go to find a nurse. I find one and she says yes. She gives me a pair of crutches for Alex and I have Alan carry Alex to the car. We get there and I say bye to the guys and drive home. When we get there I give Alex the crutches and we head inside.
Once we're inside we sit on the couch. She lays down and puts her head in my lap.
"Alex do you want to tell me why you wanted to leave the hospital so quickly" I ask
"It reminded me of mom and dad" she says
"Oh. I get it now" I say
"Yep" she says
"Want to watch a movie" I ask
"Not really. I just want to sleep" she says
"Ok. We're going to Caleb's for dinner" I say
At that she falls asleep. I take her up to her room and go back
Downstairs.
*Alex POV*
I wake up an hour later and call Caleb.
C-hey Alex what's up
A-can I sleepover at your house tonight
C-sure but ask Chad
A-okay see you later
I hang up and grab my crutches. I go over to the stairs the sit on my but and go down them. I get to the bottom then go over to the couch.
"Chad, Caleb said I could spend the night if you were okay with it" I say
"Sure" he says
I get stuff together then we go to his house for dinner. I go over to Caleb.
"Chad said I could stay" I say
"Ok" Caleb says
After awhile everyone leaves.
"Hey kiddo why don't you just sleep down here" Caleb says
"Ok" I say yawning.
Caleb puts a blanket over me and kisses my forehead.
"Sweet dreams" he whispers
"Night" I say
I slowly drift off to sleep.
