Surprise home comings and college

(2 months later)
*Alex POV*
I wake up and go downstairs. Today is my last day here before I go to college. It's also my 18th birthday.
"Good morning Chad" I say
"Good morning Alex you seem a little excited" he says
"I am today's my 18th birthday" I say
"Oh right it is" he says
"Wow chad" I say
"What" he asks
"You forgot my birthday" I say
He's about to respond but we hear the door open.
"Yoyo the party animals have arrived" Caleb says
"Hey Caleb Alan and Joey" I say
"Hey kiddo" Caleb says
"Hey Alex" Alan says
"Happy Birthday love" Joey says
"Is Joey the only one who remembers that today is my birthday" I ask
"Woah Chad you forgot your own sisters birthday" Joey asks
"No I remembered it it just means that she leaves for college sooner I mean she does leave tomorrow" Chad says
"Oh Chaddy I'll miss you" I say
"I'll miss you to Ally" he says
"Chadwick" I yell
"Alexandra" he yells
"Guys stop yelling chase is asleep" Fallon says
"Sorry for waking you" I say
"It's okay. I'm just really worried about Chase waking up" she says
I plop down on Chad's lap since all the other seats are taken.
"What are we doing today" I ask
"Well I'm not sure. Are you done packing for college" chad asks
"Yep finished last night" I say
"Why don't us guys and Alex go out for breakfast for the last time in awhile" Caleb suggests
"Ooh ihop" I say
"Chill child. You have to get changed out of your pjs" Chad says
"But I want to go in my pjs" I whine
"Ok go put in shoes then" Alan says
"Thanks Alan you're the best" I say
"Woah hold it. I'm the best I raised you" Chad says
"Yeah only for 6 years" I say
"I could've let you live with Uncle Steve" he says
"Ok fine you have a point. Chad you are my favorite brother" I say
"Good" he says
He kisses the top of my head before I run upstairs to my room. I put my shoes on then go downstairs.
"Wait what's the matter with living with your uncle" Caleb asks
"Um lets just say he hated our parents so he hates us kids" Chad says
"Oh ok" Joey says
"Fallon we're heading out" Chad says
"Ok" she says
"Ooh I call driving" I say
"No we're all going to die" Chad says
"Chadwick let your sister drive" Alan says
"Fine" Chad grumbles
We all get in the vehicle and Joey hops in the front next to me.
"How did the youngest get the front" Caleb asks
"Because we're awesome" Joey says
*Chad POV*
I pull out my phone and send the guys a text.
Ch-we should have a birthday/going to college party for Alex
Ca-alright
J-yeah a party
A-seriously Joe but lets do it
J-yes Alan seriously
Ch-I'll call Fallon when we get to ihop and have the woman plan it while we distract Alex
We place our phones down and Alan and I start a pointless argument.
"What are you two even arguing about" Alex asks
"Who bought you the best birthday gift" I say
"Sure" she says
We get to ihop and everyone goes in. I pull my phone out and call Fallon.
F-hey Chad what's up
C-do you think you and the girls can set up a party for Alex as a birthday/going away to college party
F-sure. We'll be ready around 4
C-ok love you
F-love you to
I hang up and go inside. I find everyone and sit down next to Alex.
"Where were you"Alex asks
"Talking with Fallon" I say
"Ok" she says
We order out food and talk about football.
"Woah hold it Joe the bengals suck" Alex says
"No they don't. The patriots are even worse" he says
"So I don't care about them" she says
"Who do you like" he asks
"Seahawks. They could destroy you're bengals" she says
"Guys why are you two even arguing about this" Alan asks
"Because the Seahawks are so much better than the Bengals" Alex says
"Ok we'll settle this with football. Me and Alex against Joey and Alan. Caleb you be ref so that Alex and Joey get called for illegal plays. And it's tackle" I say
"Ok after breakfast we'll go to the park since I still have the football in my van" Alan says
We eat our food then get in the van with Alex driving again. Joey's about to get in the vehicle but I grab him pull him out and hop in front.
"Hey Alan Chad threw me out of the van" Joey whines
"Joseph, Chadwick in the back. Caleb gets shotgun and you two get lecture time with Alan" Alan says
"Stupid Joseph" I grumble under my breath
"What was that" Joey asks
"Nothing" I say
I get out and get in back. Alan starts his lecture when Alex starts the car. We get to the park and Alan finishes his lecture.
"Ok lets play it's the Bengal against Seahawks. Captains come to the middle for coin flip." Caleb says
Alex and Joey go over to Caleb. They chit chat for a little bit then Alex comes back over.
"Who won the coin flip" I ask
"Joey" she grumbles
"How" I ask
"We were the home team so he got to call it" she says
"Hey I demand a reflip" I yell
"Chad those aren't allowed" Caleb says
"Fine" I mumble
"Alright Alex punt it" Joey yells
Alex takes the football and punts it. Joey catches it and starts running. Alex gets to him and runs over to him and tackles him.
*Alex POV*
I get off of Joey and help him up.
"Ok ok watch your back because I'm tackling you next." He says
"What ever" I say
We continue playing and Chad and I get the ball. I go over to him.
"Ok simple pass" I say
We get ready and I throw him the ball. Alan tackles him. We get to our third down and I go over to Chad.
"Graham Surprise or Grimm tripper" I ask
"Stamper duel" he says
"Ok" I agree
I 'snap' the ball and Joey comes running to me. I run backwards and then some forwards. I throw the ball to Chad and he catches it. Ala. tackles me right after I throw it. He gets off of me and I see that Chad got a touchdown. Alan helps me up and I run over to Chad.
"Ok we need to go for an extra point. What play" I ask
"Powellful pass" He says
"Ok" I say
We get ready and I throw the ball to him and he gets it. By the end of us playing we win by three touchdowns.
"Ok I surrender Seahawks are better" Joey says
"Really" I ask
"Nope but you guys still won. How" he asks
"We have code plays" I say
"Like what?" Alan asks
"Stamper duel, Grimm tripper, Graham surprise, Powellful pass" Chad says
"Weird" Caleb says
"Chad I'm bored" I whine
"You always are" he says
"Not true" I say
"Alex I'm sorry but your brother is right" Caleb says
"Hurtful" I say
"Whatever" he says
I sit down on the ground and so does everyone else. I lean my head on whoever is sitting next to me.
"You okay kiddo" Caleb asks
"Yeah I'm just thinking" I say
"About what" Chad asks
"I'm just wondering how my parents died" I say
"Well I found out that your mom died from cancer and your dad died in the army." Chad says
"Ok" I say
"Well why don't we go back to Chad's and watch beauty and the beast" Joey suggests
"Ok" I says
Everyone else agrees and Joey an I race to the van. He gets in the driver seat and I get in shotgun. The other three get in the back. Joey drives to Chad's. we get out and go inside.
"Surprise!" Everyone yells
"Thanks guys" I laugh
I feel someone come behind me and pick me up.
"Chad put me down" I say
"How did you know it was me" he asks
"Chad you're my older brother. I know these things" I say
"Dang it" he says
He places me on the ground and I run over to Peyton. I give him a hug and he kisses my cheek.
"I love you" he says
"Love you too" I say
I say hi to everyone else and sit down next to Chad.
"Hey sassy" he says
"Hey Chaddy" I say
"Ok Chad and Alex time for a picture together" Fallon says
"Why" we whine
"Because you're siblings" she says
Chad stands up and I get on his back. Fallon takes the picture.
"Ok we need one with Alex and all the guys" Kelsey says
I get off of Chad's back. The guys lift me up so I'm on my side.
"What are you guys doing" Brycie laughs
"You won't be able to fit all of us in the picture unless if we're holding her" Chad says
"Ok" Kelsey says
They take the picture and they set me down in the ground.
"Ok everyone lets eat" Fallon says, "without killing anyone or breaking anything"
"Aww" I whine
"What's your problem" Alan says
"We wanted to race" Joey says
"Uhuh" chad says
"I was going to win" Caleb says
"Caleb the correct word is gonna" we say
"Shut it" he says
We all go outside and get our food. We sit down and I sit between chad and Peyton. Chad prays and we start eating.
"Ok after we're done eating we have presents for Alex." Caleb says
"Oh and tomorrow us ladies will have a gift for you" Kelsey says
"Ok thanks" I say
We finish eating and go back inside.
"Ok who's first" Chad asks
"I will" Alan says

Powell's- cd of me and the guys singing
Grimm's- dictionary and gift cards to Ihop and Walmart
Joey- sharpies and Seahawks jersey

"Thank you everyone for all the gifts except the dictionary. Do you really have to get me a dictionary every other Birthday and Cheistmas" I ask
"Hey would you rather a thesaurus" I ask
"No I wouldn't want either" I say
"Too bad" he says
"Why do you hate me" I ask
"I don't hate you it's just you need to learn proper English." He say
"Chaad Caleb is bothering meeee" I whine
"Caleb what are you doing to my sister" Chad asks
"He gave me a dictionary" I say
"Caleb we don't have room for anymore dictionaries" Chad says
"Too bad" Caleb says
"Wait Chad where's our present for Alex" Fallon asks
"Oh that. I'll give it to her after everyone leaves" he says
After a few hours of laughter and singing everyone leaves.
"Ok Fallon I'm taking Alex for her present" Chad says
"Ok" she says
"Lets go" he says
"Where are we going" I ask
"You'll see. Oh and put this on" he says
He give me a bandana and I put it on.
"How many fingers am I holding up" he asks
"3" I say
"How did you know" he asks
"Chad I'm your sister I pay attention to the number you use the most" I say
"Whatever" he says
I feel him putting the car in park and getting out. He opens my door and grabs my hand. He helps me out and leads me over to somewhere. He unties the bandana and takes it off he turns me around and I see a green car in front of me.
I turn around and give Chad a hug.
"Thank you thank you thank you" I say
"No problem" he says
"Chad you didn't have to buy me a car" I say
"It wasn't my money. Mom and dad had money laying aside for a vehicle for you. They told me that if they weren't alive by your eighteenth birthday then to use it to get you one." He says
"Wait then why did you say yours and Fallon's present" I ask
"Oh that gift. Eli" he says
"Wait I thought that Eli is still over seas" I say
"Hey Sis" I hear someone say
I turn around and see our oldest brother next to the car. I run over to him and embrace him in a hug and start crying.
"I hear your going to Tennessee university and playing football" he says
I nod my head against his chest.
"When did you get home" I ask
"This morning that's why I'm still in my uniform." He says
"Wait I thought you were overseas for 12 years" I say
"I got dismissed for a few days since its your birthday and going to college" he says
"Chad how long did you know about this" I ask
"A month or two" he says
I go to Chad and give him a hug.
"Why don't we go home" Chad says
"Ok I call driving Alex's car" Eli says
"No I want to drive" I whine
"Alex your still crying" Eli says
"Fine" I say
Chad gives him the keys and gives him a hug then we get in the car.
"I missed you so much" I say
"I missed you too" he says
"Did you hear that mom and dad died" I ask
"Yeah. How did you and Chad hold up" he asks
"Well we were really sad but we just hung out with the guys a lot" I say
"Oh yeah they don't know about me." He says
"Yeah. They only know about Gabby because something happened that her name was brought up. Oh I also found out I'm adopted" I say
"Mom told you" he asks
"No it was in a letter" I say
We get back and go inside.
"Chad we're home" I call out
"Ok in the kitchen" he yells back
We go into the kitchen and Eli hugs Fallon.
"Who's this little guy" He asks
"That's your nephew Chase" I say
"Chad you never mentioned you had a son" Eli says
"Oh well" Chad says
"Ok we need a picture of you three" Fallon says
"Hold on Chad do you have anything I can change into? My bags are at the hotel" Eli says
"Why are you staying at a hotel? We have an extra room here" Chad says
"Ok I'll bring my stuff here can I just have some clothes to wear" Eli asks
"Yeah" Chad says
They go upstairs and I sit down next to Fallon.
"You ok Alex" she asks
"It's going to be even harder to leave now" I say
"Why's that" she asks
"Because Eli is home for a little bit" I say
"Well could you get permission to go into college a few days late" she asks
"I guess I can try" I say
The two come back down and I stand up. I go over to them and they both hug me. We get ready for the picture and Fallon takes it. We sit down at the table and Chase runs over to me. I pick him up and set him on my lap.
"Aunt Alex who's sitting next to you" he asks
"That's your Uncle Eli. He's your daddy's and mine brother." I say
"Why don't I have a brother or sister" he asks
"Why don't you ask your daddy that" I say
"Daddy!" He yells
"What Chase" Chad asks
"Why don't I have a brother or sister" he asks
"Actually you'll be a big brother soon. Mommy is going to have a brother and sister maybe" Chad says
"Wait Fallon your pregnant with twins" I ask
"Yeah. We had a doctors appointment last week" she says
"Congratulations. Eli when do you go back overseas" I ask
"In a few days" he says
"Ok I'll be back I have to go make a phone call" I say
I go outside and call the college admin.

A-my brother just got the chance to be home for a few says for my birthday and me going to college before he returns overseas so I was wondering if there was a way I could come a few days late
R-I'm sorry but that isn't allowed
A-ok thank you anyways
I hang up and send Chad a text.
A-going in a walk I'll be back later
C-ok be safe are you ok
A-I'm fine
I start walking and head to Joey's house since its the farthest away and I need time to think. I get to his house and knock ok the door. He opens it and lets me in.
"What's wrong Alex" he asks
"College won't let me go in a few days late" I cry
"Why do you want to go in late" he asks
"Oh yeah you guys don't know" I say
Don't know what" he asks
"Chad and I have an older brother. He's suppose to be overseas for 12 years but was bake to come home for a few days for my birthday and me going to college. I just want to be able to spend some time with him. He came home to surprise me for my birthday. I missed him so much and now I'm not getting to spend anytime with him" I say
"I'm sorry. I never knew you and Chad had a brother you never talk about him" he says
"We sort of kept it a secret just incase he got killed or went missing I think" I say
"Oh ok" he says
"You can't mention about our other brother to anyone until they meet him for themselves" I say
"I won't" he says
"Joey what do I do about my situation" I ask
"Spend as much time as you can with him" he says
"Ok" I say
"Do you want a ride" he asks
"I can walk" I say
"Come on I'll give you a ride. Then I can meet your brother. What's his name" he says
"Eli" I say
Ok" he says
We get in the car and Joey drives to Chad's. We get out and go inside. We walk into the living room and Chad turns around. He sees my face and walks over to me. He gives me a hug and kisses the top of my head.
"You ok" he asks
"I'll tell you later" I whisper
"Ok" he says
"Eli this is one of chad's band mates Joey. Joey this is our brother Eli" I say
"Hi" Joey says
"Hello" Eli says
"Thanks for the ride Joey" I say
"No problem" he says
He leaves and I sit down next to Eli.
"Well I'm going to go get my stuff from the hotel I'll be back" he says
He leaves and Chad sits down next to me.
"Ok what happened he asks
"I called the college and asked if I could come in late. I explained that my brother came home for a few days from overseas and they said no. I just wanted the chance to hangout with Eli" I say
"It will be okay. It's only 4 more years then he's home for good" Chad says
"But he could go overseas again" I say
"Yeah I know" he sighs
"Chad are you okay" I ask
"I just missed him" he says
I look up at him and see tears threatening to spill. I kiss his cheek and he smiles down at me.
"It's pretty late I'm going to bed" I say
"Love you sis" he says
"Love you too" I say
I go upstairs and get in bed. I fall asleep quickly.

I wake up and see that all my bags aren't in my room anymore. I look out my window and see Chad and Eli finish packing them in the van. I get dressed and go downstairs. I go outside to my brothers. I hop on Eli's back and Chad starts tickling my sides.
"Chad stop" I laugh
"Why" he asks
"Because it tickles" I say
He stops and grabs me off Eli's back. He starts walking while carrying me bridal style. Eli catches up to us and we go inside. We go to the kitchen to find food on the table and Fallon eating. Chad sets me down and we start eating.
"Thanks Fallon" we say
"No problem" she says
"Alex we have to leave in an hour to take you to college and the guys will be here in a few to say a final goodbye" Chad says
"Ok" I say we finish breakfast by the time everyone gets here. We introduce Eli to everyone and sit in the living room.
"Ok us ladies have a gift for all of you" Kelsey says
They hand everyone but Eli a poster upside down. We turn them over and see the picture if me with the guys. I stab up and give the girls a hug.
"Thanks" I say tearing up
I sit back down next to Chad and he wiped my tears away.
Eli's phone rings and he walks away. He comes back a few minutes later with a sad look.
"What's wrong" Chad asks
"I have to leave right now and go back" He says
Chad and I get up and give him a hug. We let go and he runs upstairs. He grabs his stuff then leaves. I run upstairs and hear the guys behind me.
"Alex it's time to leave. The ladies said they'll stay here so it's just us" I hear Chad say
I stand up and go over to them. They pull me into a group hug and we go downstairs. I climb into the back and Caleb and Joey get on either side of me. Chad is in he driver seat and Alan is in the passenger seat. I lean my head on Joey's shoulder and he kisses the top of my head.
"It will be okay" he whispers in my ear
We get to the pledge campus and the guys help me unload my stuff I go over to the check in and I get my form. We find it and go in. My roommate isn't there yet. They help me unpack some things and I give them another hug.
"Oh Alex you left the poster you just got on the couch and I grabbed it. Where do you want it to be hung" Alan asks
"Right over my bed" I say
He hangs it and I give them one more hug. The guys walk out and Chad stays back.
"We'll go to the van" Caleb says
I hug Chad and he hugs me Chad.
"I'll miss you" I say
"Hey I'm just a phone call away and so are the guys if you ever want to talk. We also bout season tickets already" he says
"Ok I love you" I say
"Love you too" he says
I finish unpacking and look at the time. It's late at night. My dorm mate came and then went out the door to go somewhere. I may down an fall asleep.
