Troubles and futures

(Junior year)
*Alex POV*
Well I'm in my junior year of college and still doing football. The guys forced Chad and I to do more dance competitions and stuff. Ever since the day in the library where I had my bible I have been getting bullied and it just gets worse. I don't tell anyone and especially not Chad because he would say that he's coming to the school. Right now I'm on my way back to my dorm from football practice. I'm now head captain and I'm still main quarterback. I've gotten hurt a couple more times but they weren't major like the first time.
"Yo Christian girl" someone says
"What" I ask
I turn around to face the person who makes fun of me everyday.
"Come on don't get sassy" he says
"I'm sorry by I believe that you're the sassy one. It says to love my enemies in the bible so I'm trying my best not to be sassy" I say
"Come on I know you want to fight me" he says
"No I don't" I say
"What does it say that you can't fight people in you law book full of stories about idiots and this so called savior. I don't see him saving people here" he says
"Nice one Damien" this guy says
"Shut up Ricky" Damien says
I turn around and start walking away. I get pushed to the ground suddenly. I turn around and see Damien standing there.
"I'm not going to fight. So hit me all you want but I won't fight back like you want" I say
"Aww come on what's the fun of fighting without it being two people doing it" he says
"Just get Ricky to fight you" I say
"No he's no fun to fight. I'd rather fight someone that I have a reason for fighting" he says
'Well go ahead because I will not disobey my God and I'm not going to deny my trust in Him" I say
Damien starts punching me and doesn't stop until someone pulls him away. I get up from the ground, grab my stuff and go to my dorm. I go on and sit on my bed.
"Alex are you ok" J asks
"Yeah I'm fine" I say
"You sure because your face says differently" she says
I get up and look in the mirror. I have a black eye, bruises on my arms, and some on my face. I go back to my bed and sit down. My laptop start jingling. I open it and see a face time request from Chad. I accept and see all the guys there.
"Alex what happened" Chad asks
"Nothing Chad. I'm fine. How are you four" I ask
"We're good" Alan says
I motion for Jailin to come over an she joins me in my bed.
"Hey J" Caleb says
Hey guys" she says
"Jailin do you know what happened to my sister" Chad asks
"No sorry Chad. She came back from football practice and she wouldn't tell me what happened" she says
"Baby sis did this happen at football practice" Joey asks
"No" I say
"After" Alan asks
"Sort of" I say
Jailin gets up and walks out of the room and the guys just look at me.
"Please explain sis" Chad begs
"No I can't" I say
"Will you tell one of us then have that person tell the rest" Caleb asks
"Fine. I'll tell Joey" I say
The others get up and walk away and Joey scoots over to the middle more.
"What happened baby sis" he asks
"I'm getting bullied for being a Christian" I say
"When did this start" he asks
"Freshman year" I say
"Why didn't you tell anyone" he asks
"Because Chad would of been furious and you three are like brothers to me so you guys would've been mad too" I say
"Well are you ok" he asks
"Yeah. Junior year is when it started to get physical. The people want me to fight them and I won't so they punch me or I won't deny my faith so they'll hit me" I say
"Yes Joey I'm fine. Just when you tell the others make sure Chad doesn't come over here." I say
"Will do. Stay strong baby girl. We love you" he says
"Love you to Big bro" I say
I end the face time and shut my laptop. I grab my homework and start working on it.
*Joey POV*
I close the laptop and go to the kitchen. I sit at the table with the rest.
"So what happened" Chad asks
"I can say only on one condition" I say
"What" Caleb asks
"She doesn't want any of us to go over there and deal with it" I say
"Ok" Chad says
"Alex is getting bullied for being a Christian. It's been happening since freshman year and it's jut started to get physical this year." I say
"Woah Chad calm down" Alan says
I look up and see Chad standing with his hands in fists.
"Chad go take a walk. Alex will be fine. I think this is the reason why she didn't want to tell you. You're very protective of her." I say
"Joey I'm her older brother. My job is to protect her" Chad says
"Yeah but sometimes you just have to let them go and grow up. You're not always going to be there for her" Caleb says
"Come on let'a go do something" Alan says
"Alright fine. What are we going to do" Chad asks
"Lets go play Mario kart" I say
"Ok" they agree we go the living room and Chad puts Mario kart in the wii and we start playing.
*Jailin POV*
I go back into the room after a few minutes to find Alex working on homework.
"You ok" I ask
"Yeah" she says
"You sure. I heard what Damien did" I say
"It's just so frustrating" she says
"What is" I ask
I go over and sit next to her in her bed. She puts her homework down and looks at the floor.
"Come on Alex you can tell me. We act like sisters" I say
"Yeah but you live in Maine and I live in Tennessee. Who am I going to vent to" she asks
"We have each others numbers. We'll stay in contact" I say
"You're right" she says
"Now why don't we talk about what's wrong" I say
"Ok" she says
"You said something was frustrating. What" I say
"First boys don't want to play on the same team as me because I'm a girl. Then I get picked on for being a Christian and now it's getting worse. Why can they jut let me live my life and they live theirs" she asks
"You know why this is happening" I ask
"I know you're going to say the same thing Alan would. It's just a test from to see if I'll deny God or keep my faith in Him" she says
"Yeah. And look you're winning. You haven't denied your faith. And sometimes along the way in tests people get a little roughed up. But they stick through it and I know you can too" I say
"Oh my gosh" she says
"What" I ask
"I just realized that my brother comes back from overseas the day we graduate college" she says
"That's awesome maybe he'll come to your graduation. Next year when it gets closer call Chad and ask" I say
"That's a great idea. I'm so glad we're dorm mates" she says
"Me too" I say
"Ok did you finish the social studies homework" she asks
"No I got confused" I say
"Ok I can help you with it I'm almost done" she says
"Wait how many social studies are you doing" I ask
"Um I need two my freshman and sophomore year. Then this year and next year I'm doing one" she says
"Why are you doing so much?" I ask
"If football doesn't work out I want to be a history teacher. Or when I retire from football I'll be a history teacher" she says
"And by the time you're a history teacher you'll be teaching about yourself" I say
"Maybe" she says
"Oh come on you'll be the first woman to play in the NFL" I say
"I don't know. I'm not the best quarterback" she says
"Are you kidding me you're awesome. And if you join the NFL I'll be your #1 fan" I say
"Aww thanks" she says
After we finish laughing we turn our attention back to our homework.
"I wonder how Chad, Fallon, Chase, and the twins are doing" she says
"What are their names" I ask
"Samantha and Matthew" she says
"How old are the kids now" I ask
"Chase is 5 and the twins are two. So three little ones running around the house is a little crazy" she says
"I bet. Well I'm tired so I'm going to bed goodnight" I say
"Night." She says
*Alex POV*
I finish my homework then leave the dorm. I go I the common room and call Chad.
C-hey sis
A-hey bro
C-you ok
A-yeah I'm just bored. Do you know if Eli is going to make it for my college graduation
C-I haven't talked to him since your birthday so I don't know
A-ok how are the kids
C-they're good. They keep me busy
A-and how's the band going
C-good. We're going on tour again soon
A-for how long
C-four or five months
A-awesome
C-ok well I have to go take the kids to bed. Sorry sis. Love you
A-love you to bubs
I hang up and head to my dorm. I get in bed and fall asleep.
*Chad POV*
I help Fallon get the kids in bed then she heads to bed. I go downstairs and call Eli.
E-hey Chad
C-hey
E-is something wrong
C-no Alex just wants to know if you're coming to her college graduation next year
E-I don't know if I'll be done in time
C-ok
E-Chad everything will be ok. When I'm done overseas I'm going to sell my house in Florida and I'm going to move closer to you guys. I also should be home for at least ten years before I go overseas again
C-alright.
E-I gotta go. Goodnight love you bro
C-love you too
I hang up and turn the tv off. I hear a knock at the door so I get up and go over and open it.
"Hey Caleb and Joe" I say
"Hey" they say
They walk in and we go to the living room.
"What are you two doing here" I ask
"We're bored." Caleb says
"Ok" I say
"You ok" Joey asks
"Alex and I just miss Eli" I say
"Is he going to be at her graduation" Caleb asks
"It depends on when he get back" I say
"Oh" Joey says
"Yeah but he did say that when he gets back he's going to move out here and sell his current house" I say
"Hey that's good" Caleb says
"Yeah it is" I say
"Well we'll get out of your hair. Lets go Grimm shady. Good night graham cracker" Joey says
"Bye J-weezy. Bye Grimm shady" I say
"Good night Graham cracker" Caleb says
They leave and I go up to bed.

*Eli POV*
As soon as I wake up in the morning I call Fallon.
F-hello
E-hey Fallon it's Eli
F-oh hey did you need to talk to Chad
E-no I need to talk to you
F-ok what's up
E-well Chad was wondering if I was going to Alex's graduation and I said I wasn't sure. I have an idea to surprise both of them but I need to talk to the college about it.
F-ok do you want the number
E-yes please
Fallon gives me the number and then I hang up. I call the college and get everything situated. I know it's a whole year early but I need to make sure it will happen.
"Sergeant" I hear
"Yea" I ask
"They need you at the flag pole" he says
"Ok" I say
I put my phone down and head off to the flag pole.
*Alex POV*
I wake up and head to my first class.
"Ok everyone turn in your essays" the professor says
We turn our essays in then go back to our seats.
"Ok so I don't really plan anything for today so what should we discuss about" he asks
"Sports" someone says
"Ok" professor Smith says
"Really" someone else asks
"Yeah really. Miss. Graham please come up here" he says
I get up and go to the front.
"Miss. Graham here is making history. History for the school, history for the state, history for football" he says
"How" someone asks
"First girl to play college football and probably will be the first to play NFL. I mean the teams could use better quarterbacks" Professor says
"Yeah but that's only one person. How does History involve all of us" Someone asks
"Great question. Miss. Graham do you have anything to say" he asks
"Ok Albert Einstein is a famous scientist mathematician. He couldn't have become famous without the help of his teachers. Everyone can help someone become famous you just don't get recognized. Hey if you want to be famous why don't you start by making a book or something about those non famous people who helped others get famous. I might become famous for my playing but I couldn't have done it without friends, teachers, or family. Behind every successful person are a bunch of people who made the success possible. It doesn't matter if you're written in history books or not to be a part of history. All you have to know is that you made someone a part of history because you had a big impact in their life" I say
"Well said Miss. Graham. Do you mind if I share that with the rest of my classes" professor smith asks
"You recorded it" I ask
"Yes" he says
"I don't care" I say
"Thank you. You may return to your seat now" he says
Class finishes and I go throughout my day. I'm about to leave my final class, math, when the professor asks to see me.
"Yes" I ask
"The headmaster wants to see you. Hand this note to the secretary and she will let you in." She says
"Ok thank you" I say
I grab my books and my backpack and head across campus. I find the main office and hand the note to the secretary. She reads it then points me in the direction I need to go. I knock on the office door and wait for a 'come in'. I go in and sit down across from her.
"Hello Alexandra. Professor Smith played for me what you said in your social studies class and may I say it was very profound." The headmaster says
"Thank you" I say
"You are most certainly welcome. Have you ever thought about joining a debate team or a speech meet" she asks
"No ma'am I have not. With football and all my classes I have been very busy" I say
"Well next year you're taking less classes right" she asks
"yes ma'am I am" I say
"Well would you please consider joining either one of those? I'm sure they would love to have you" she says
"I'll consider it" I say
"Thank you. Have a great evening" she says
"You too Ma'am" I say
I get up and leave then go back to my dorm.
"Why are you back so late? didn't your last class end an hour ago" J asks
"Yeah but the headmaster wanted to talk to me" I say
"Was it about your speech in professor Smith's class? I'm in his third class" she says
"Yeah. She wants me to join the debate team or speech team" I say
"Well then you must've made a great speech then" she says
"I guess so. G'night" I say
"Night" she says
I get in bed and slowly fall asleep.
