Football threats and scouts

(Monday)
*Alex POV*
I wake up in the morning very early. I go downstairs and eat a bowl of cereal. A few minutes later Chad comes down.
"Alex it's only 6 in the morning what are you doing being so loud" he asks
"I'm getting ready for practice. I have practice at 8" I say
"Ok have someone else take you because I'm going back to bed" he says
"Alright" I say
I grab my phone and call Caleb.
C-what up Alex
A-hey Caleb can you take me to practice today. Chad is tired and went back to bed
C-sure I'll pick you up at 7:30
A-ok thanks
I hang up and finish getting ready. By the time I'm done Caleb is here. I go outside and get in his car.
"Good morning" he cheers
"Good morning. How many cups of coffee have you had" I ask
"I had one at midnight because I woke up wanting coffee. I then fell back asleep. When I woke up I had two more. Then after you called me I had another one." He says
"Why do you drink do much coffee" I ask
"Because its good and it keeps me in line" he says
"No Alan keeps you all in line" I say
"True. As well as you do as well sometimes" he says
We pull up to the field and I get out.
"Thanks Caleb" I say
"No problem. Is there someone picking you up" he asks
"I'll have Joey pick me up" I say
"Ok" he says
I run over to the field but before I can make it on someone grabs my arm.
"yo graham" he says
"What do you want Thomas" I ask
"Is it all a go" he asks
"Yes" I say
"Good now you don't want to be late" he says
He lets go of my arm and I run onto the field. I do the warm ups and then we go over to coach.
"Ok guys tackling. Everyone pair up besides Graham and Jacobs." He says everyone starts the drill and we follow coach.
"Ok so Graham the scouts want to watch you this whole practice so a few are going to come and watch this." He says
"Ok" I say
Jacobs and I get set up. Coach calls it and we tackle. I end up tackling him.
"Good job Graham" Jacobs says
"You do know I'm a girl" I say
"I know" he says
"And your ok with that" I ask
"Yeah" he says
"Ok" I say
I turn around and see a few people standing there. The first one steps forward.
"Hi Alex I'm Bret Bielema from Arkansas" he says
"Hi I'm Alexandra Graham" I say
"Wait your a girl" he asks
"Yeah" I say
"That tackling was amazing" he says
"Thank you" I say
"What position do you play" he asks
"Quarter back" I say
"Will I be able to see you throw a few" he asks
"I can talk to coach" I say
"Please" he says
I run over to coach and wait till he's done talking with other guys.
"Oh Graham this is Butch Jones. He's the head football coach of university of Tennessee" coach says
"Cool hi nice to meet you" I say
"Nice to meet you as well" he says
"Coach could I throw a few passes" I ask
"Sure choose your receiver" he says
"Jacobs" I say
"Ok" he says
I run over to Jacobs.
"Hey" I say
"Hey" he says
"I'm gonna throw a few to you is that alright" I ask
"Yeah just don't kill me" he says
"What do you mean" I ask
"You have a good arm" he says
"Thanks" I say
He hands me a football and goes long. Once he's set I throw him the ball. He catches it. I throw a few more. He runs over to me.
"Nice throws. You see all those scouts they're here to look at you. I suggest that if you get calls meet with them and see what they will offer you. Also decide if you want to go far away for college or stay close" he says
"Wait are you a senior" I ask
"Yeah. I already got a scholar ship for math at university of Colorado" he says
"That's amazing" I say
"Graham" coach calls
"You better go" he says
I run over to coach.
"That was amazing. You have a good arm" Butch says
"You are really good" Bret says
Thanks" I say
All the scouts leave and we finish up practice. After practice coach talks with me.
"You're a really good player" he says
"Thanks" I say
"So I was thinking how would you like to be team captain" he asks
"Who is team captain right now" I ask
"Mike Jacobs" he says
"Sorry but I can't take team captain away from anyone" I say
"Ok how about co team captain then" he asks
"Ok" I say
"Great. Don't forget about the game tomorrow" he says
"I won't by coach" I say
I take my cleats off and put my slides on. I put my shoulder pads, helmet and mouth guard in my bag and leave the field. I pull my phone out to call Joey.
J-yello
A-hello jello
J-hey Alex what do ya need
A-can you pick me up from practice
J-sure I'll be there in ten
I hang up and wait. A little while later I fell a tap on my shoulder. I turn around and Thomas is there.
"I'm going to get rid of you" he says
"And I don't care if you do" I say
"It will happen then you won't goto college and you won't get to live your dream" he says
"What do you have against me" I ask
"Your a girl. I use to be the head quarter back and now you stole it from me. I will steal it back even if that means I have to hurt you first" he says
"Really what are you gonna do" I ask
He launches himself at me and tackles me to the grass. I flip him over then he flips me over. We continue to tackle until I fell someone pick me up. I look up and see Joey. The coach is holding Thomas back.
"Thomas, Graham in my office now." Coach says
"Ok" we say
"You can come to" the coach says to Joey
We go into his office and sit down. Joey stands and leans against the wall.
"What happened" Coach asks
"She came at me" Thomas says
"Alex is that true" coach asks
I look at Thomas and he has a smirk on his face. I look at Joey and he's watching my facial expression. I look at coach and he stares at me.
"Yes coach it is and I'm sorry" I say
"I'm sorry Alex but you can't be apart of this team any more" he says
"Ok I understand" I say
I get up and walk out. Joey follows behind me.
"Alex why did lie" he asks
"What" I ask
"Why didn't you tell him that the other kid came at you" he asks
"How could you tell" I ask
"Your facial expression. Also I knew you would never do anything like that. Why didn't you tell the coach" he asks
"Because no one likes me on the team but one person and the coach. I thought it would just be easier to give up then have to deal with the hate." I say
"What do you mean he doesn't like you on the team" he asks
"He threatens me. He use to be the sin quarter back and now that I'm the main quarter back he threatens me and doesn't like the idea of a girl football player" I say
"I think he's jealous that you are really good" he says
"Yeah well now my chances of going to college are gone" I say
"Why is that" he asks
"There were a lot of football scouts from colleges there today and some of them liked me and now that I'm not on the team anymore my chances are zero" I say
"Maybe you should just go and tell the coach the truth" he says
"I can't. If I tell him then I'm just going to be hurt worst by Thomas" I say
"Alex if you tell the coach the coach can do something about it and you will still get to go to college" he says
He stops at Chad's and we get out.
"Alex please think about what I said. I'll even go with you if you want." He says
"Ok can you also tell Chad what's going on. He's gonna want to know what's going on and I don't want to hear his outburst" I say
"Of course" He says
*Joey POV*
We go inside.
"Hey Alex how was practice" Chad asks
She doesn't say anything. She just runs upstairs.
"What's wrong" Chad asks
"There's something you should know about" I say
"What" he asks
We sit down on the couch and I think for a moment on what to say.
"Alex has an enemy right now" I say
"Who is it" he says
"It's the former quarter back. He tackled her after practice and the coach caught them wrestling. She said thy she started it but I could tell that she was lying. I talked with her the whole way home. She said he was threatening to kick her off the team so she said it was easier to get kicked off the team. She also said that her chances to go to college are gone because they won't offer her a scholar ship" I say
"I'm going to kill him" Chad says getting angry
"Chad calm down. She said she would think about talking to the coach and getting back on the team" I say
He stands up and starts walking to the door.
"Chad where are you going" I ask
"To talk with the coach" he says
"Chad you don't know the full story. I'll go talk to the coach. I have a more detailed story. While I'm talking with the coach don't try to call me. I'm going to ask Alex if she wants to come with me" I say
"Ok" he says
I go upstairs and knock on Alex's door.
"Who is it" she asks
"Joey" I say
"Come in" she says
I go in and see her crying into her pillow. I go over and sit on her bed newt to her.
"What's wrong Alex" I ask
"My life is ruined" she says
"No it's not" I say
"Why not" she asks
"Because I'm going to talk with the coach. Do you want to come with? I'll take you to lunch afterwards" I say
"Ok" she says
We stand up and I pull her into a hug.
"Lets go" I say
We go downstairs and go outside. We get into my car and I drive to the football field. When we get there we see the coach leaving the building. We get out and run over to him.
"Coach can I talk with you" Alex asks
"You aren't apart of the team anymore I don't think there is anything else to talk about" he says
"Please let her talk with you. If not her let me talk with you" I say
"Ok" he says
We follow him to his office and sit down.
"Now what is it you would like to talk about" he asks
"Joey can you tell him" Alex asks
"So Alex didn't start the fight that happened after the practice. After the first practice the Thomas guy went over to her and threatened to kick her off the team. Then after today's practice he got really mad at her for her becoming the QB and taking his spot. He got so mad that he wrestled her. The reason she admitted to what he said was because she thought it would be easier to get herself thrown off the team then her getting hurt while he was trying to do so" I say
"Is this true" the coach asks
"Yes" Alex says
"Ok you are back on the team. I'll talk with Thomas. Thank you. And Graham let me know if it happens again" he says
"Yes coach" Alex says
I shake his hand and Alex and I leave his office. We go outside and to my car.
"Where do you want to go for lunch" I ask
"Chick fil a" she says
"Ok" I say
"Thank you Joey" she says
"No problem" I say
We get to chick fil a and go inside. We order then sit down.
"How was filming on Saturday" I ask
"It was good. It took forever though because we were shooting for three episodes" she says
"You're a really good actress" I say
"Thanks. I'm able to fool Chad sometimes but I can't fool you, Alan, or Caleb" she says
"That's because we watch your facial expression. Chad doesn't know how to do that" I say
"Yeah he's lame" I say
"Agreed" I say
"Thanks again Joe" she says
"Of course. I'd do anything to help you" I say
"Was Chad really mad" she asks
"It looked like he was going to rip someone's head off" I say
"That is why I didn't want to tell him" She says
"Yeah. You ready to go" I ask
"Yep" she says
We throw our trash out and go back to my car. I start the car and drive back to Chad's.
*Alex POV*
We get back to Chad's and we get out.
"Joe you don't need to come in" I say
"I know but I want Chad to know that everything is ok" he says
We go inside and are met by a rally good scent.
"Chad what are you making" I ask
"I'm making sweet and sour chicken and white rice" he says
"It smells good" Joey says
"Thanks. How did it go" Chad asks
"It went good. Alex is back on the team." Joey says
"I'm glad. Thanks Joe for dealing with this" Chad says
"No problem" Joey says
"Do you want to stay for dinner" Chad asks
"Can't. My brother and I are hanging out tonight" he says
"Ok see ya" Chad says
"Bye Joey" I say giving him a hug
See ya guys" Joey says
He leaves and I go over to Chad. I give him a hug and he kisses the top of my head. I love our sibling bonding.
"I'm sorry Chad" I say
"What are you sorry about" he asks
"I didn't tell you what was going on the day you asked me what was wrong" I say
"Alex as long as your safe I don't really care right now" he says
"Thank you" I say
I turn on the tv and start watching the patriots. A few hours later Chad finishes with dinner an we start eating. As we're eating The house phone rings. Chad answers it.
*Chad POV*
I pick up the phone.
C-hello
Ark-hello is Alex Graham there
C-can I ask who is calling
Ark-this is Bret. I'm the football coach at Arkansas University
C-can I ask why you are calling
Ark-we want to offer Alex a scholar ship
C-we will have to get back to you about that
Ark-I totally understand. Take as long as you need
I hang up and go to the dining room.
"Who was that" Alex asks
"The coach from Arkansas." I say
"Ok we might be getting a call from Tennessee" she says
"That's good but you do realize you're going to have to choose which school" I say
"I know" she says
"Alright. Now you have your first game tomorrow and we also get the results from your SAT's and finals tomorrow" I say
"Yes" she says
We finish eating and Alex does the dishes. I go to the living room and turn the tv on. The phone rings but Alex picks it up.
*Alex POV*
I pick the phone up.
A-hello
B-hello is this Alex Graham
A-yes who is this
B-I'm butch from Tennessee. I saw you at practice today.
A-of course how may I help you
B-I would like to offer you a scholar ship to Tennessee
A-that's amazing but I will have to think about it. I got an offer to Arkansas as well
B-of course. I respect that. I hope to hear from you soon
I hang up and finish the dishes. Once I'm done I go to the living room. Chad is laying on the couch again. I go and sit on him.
"Alex why are you on me" he asks
"Because you're laying across the couch" I say
He pushes me off of him and sits up. And sit next to him and lean my head on his shoulder. He puts his arm around me.
"Who was on the phone" he asks
"Tennessee" I say
"Ah so now you get to choose since it is really close to the end of the school year." Chad says
"Yeah I know. I mean I will have to see what both schools offer but I want to stay close to home" I say
"Well you can set up an interview or meeting with both of them. I'm sure one of the guys or me will join you if you want" he says
"Thanks Chad. I think I'm going to go upstairs to bed" I say
"Ok goodnight sis" he says
"Goodnight bub" I say
I go upstairs and put my pjs on. I grab my phone and send Joey a quick text.
A-thanks for all your help today
J-not a problem
A-goodnight
J-goodnight
I then text Peyton
A-goodnight are you coming to my game tomorrow
P-goodnight. Wish I could but Disney needs me in a dog with a blog episode
A-ok :(

I plug the charger in then plug my phone in. I lay down and slowly fall asleep.
