Growing up

Brother figure

*Chad POV*
Wow my little sister has a date. I place the food in the oven and go to the living room. I look at the couch and see Alex asleep. I check my phone and see there's an hour till he comes. I go over to wake her up.
"Alex time to wake up" I say
"Mmm" she grumbles
"He's going to be here in an hour" I say
"Ok" she says
She sits up and I start laughing.
"What's wrong" she asks
"Your hairs a mess" I say
"Ok" she says
She goes upstairs to fix her hair. She comes down 20 minutes later with her hair brushed and curled. She comes and sits next to me on the couch.
"I have to go grab the food from the oven" I say getting up
I go to the kitchen and take the food out. Then I set the table. As I'm done setting the table there's a knock at the door. I go to open it I open it and Peyton is standing there. Alex walks over to the door.
"Hey Peyton" she says
"Hey Alex" he says
"Hey I'm Chad Alex's brother" I say
"Hi I'm Peyton" he says he shakes my hand then I let him in.
"Dinner is ready so you two go in while I go and tell Fallon" I say
They go to the dining room and go upstairs.
"Fallon dinners ready" I say
"Ok I'll be there soon can you go get Chase from his room" she says
"Yeah" I say
I go and pick up Chase then go downstairs. I put him in his high chair then sit down. Fallon comes down and sits next to me. I pray for the food and we start eating.
"Peyton can I talk with you for a little bit after dinner" I ask
"Of course" he says
"So what is it like being an actor" Fallon asks
"It's interesting. You get to know the other people very well and make great friendships. It's a lot of fun as well" he says
"Cool" Fallon says
"So you and Alex are siblings. What is it like raising up your sister" he asks
"It's actually a lot of fun. We get to hang out a lot more and we don't really think of each other as siblings but more like best friends" I say
"Awesome. I wish I had a good relationship with my older brother. The only time I see him is if he needs something from me" he says
"Wow that's terrible" I say
"Eh I'm use to it" he says
"I'm still sorry that you never see your brother" I say
"No it's fine" he says
We finish eating and I go to the living room with Peyton.
"So you really love my sister" I ask
"Yeah I really do. I feel like we have a lot in common. Except I live by myself and I don't have a good connection with my brother" he says
"What do you mean" I ask
"Well my parents died and I have a sibling who committed suicide. I actually live in a house by myself." He says
"Well if you want I can be your brother figure" I say
"Really that would be so cool" he says
"Sure I mean I don't want you to be lonely" I say
"Thanks" he says
"No problem. Also if you break my sisters heart you are in a lot of trouble" I say
"Yes Chad and we will be back before 11" he says
"Ok now go have fun" I say
He goes to the kitchen and comes back with Alex.
"Have fun sis and be careful driving Peyton" I say
"Ok" they say
They leave and I go back to the dining room. I start cleaning up. I finish cleaning and pick Chase up out of the high chair.
"Hey buddy" I coo
He giggles and then yawns. I take him upstairs and put him to bed. I go back downstairs and turn on the tv.
