Resolution

*Chad POV*
Today is Alex's birthday and we're trying to not mention anything about it.
"Chad why are we at chick fil a" Alex asks
"We're waiting for the others" I say
"Ugh. I'm sooo bored" she whines
"Well play on your phone" I say
"I've been doing that for thirty seconds then I got bored" she says
"Caleb is here" Caleb says
"Great so Chad can we leave now" Alex
Asks
"How long have you guys been here" Caleb asks
"Not long" I say
"Chad we've been here for about 2 hours" Alex says
"That's terrible" Alan says
"Hey al" Alex says
"Hey al" Alan says
"Hey you two can't have the same nick name" Joey says
"Well we're the only ones who use them" Alan says
"Wait we can't call you al" I ask
"No. You guys always call me big al" Alan says
"True very true" I say
"Well can we please leave" Alex whines
"Nope we're going to make you suffer" I say
"Chadwick" she yells
"Alexandra" I yell back
"Chadwick Matthew Graham and Alexandra Marie Graham sit down" Alan says
"Fine" we moan
We sit down and the others join us.
"What are we doing" Alex whines
"Torturing you" I say
"Chad we are not torturing her" Alan says
"Thanks al" Alex says
"No problem" he says
"So are we going to sit here all day or do something" Caleb asks
"I think we should do something" Joey says
"I agree with Joseph" Alex says
"Me three" Caleb says
"Me four" Alan says
"I guess so" I say
"Great we'll go to my house for lunch" Alan says
"Good I'm starving" Alex says
"Alex who do you want to ride with" I ask
"You I guess" she says
"Alright lets go" I say
We get in the car and start heading to Alan's.
"Chad I just realized something" Alex says
"What" I ask
"Today's my birthday" she says
"Oh crap" I say
"Did you forget my birthday" she asks
"Yeah. But to my offense you forgot your own" I say
"Whatever" she says
We get to Alan's and go inside. We had everyone be outside so she had no clue about it.
"Ok what's for lunch" I ask
"Well I was thinking maybe some burgers on the grill" Alan says
"Great" Caleb says
"Alex do you want to come with me to put the burgers on the grill" Alan asks
"Neh I want to stay in here" she says
"Oh well then that means you won't get any because we're all eating outside" Caleb says
"Fine lets go" she says
We all go outside.
"Surprise!" everyone yells
She's so surprised or scared that she stumbles backward sort of. I catch her.
"Well hello there sis" I say
"Hey bub" she says
"We're you scared or surprised" I asked
"Both. I'm also surprised that you remembered my birthday" she says
"Dude your sister just underestimated you" Joey says
"Thanks captain obvious" I say
"No problem" he says
We get food then sit down. Alan prays then we all begin eating. As we're eating I notice something is bothering Alex. I pull my phone out and send a text.
C-are you okay
A-no
C-wanna talk about it
A-later
C-ok
"Are you two texting each other" Fallon asks
"Maybe" I say
"Put your phones away and socialize" she says
"Yes ma'am" I say
We put our phones away and finish eating. Once we're done Alex and I go inside to talk.
"Alex what's wrong" I ask
"I got a call" she says
"Was it Maggie" I ask
"Yeah how did you know" she asks
"Yesterday when I was putting you in your room when you fell asleep your phone rang. I answered it and it was Maggie. She said she was going to call you later" I say
"Well she did and it wasn't a long chit chat" she says
"What did she say" I ask
"Well apparently Maggie is another one of Gabby's friends and tried to tell me that it was my fault that she wasn't at a party yesterday but stuck at home doing chores." She says
"Alex do you believe her? do you believe it was your fault" I ask
"Of course I do Chad. She wouldn't stop bothering me until I knew it was my fault. My life keeps on getting worse and worse. When will it ever get better" she snaps
"Alex you don't always have to snap at me when you're mad. Yelling doesn't always help" I say trying not to get angry
"Chad it's no use not to get mad. Once I settle down something else happens. Maybe I should try staying angry and maybe just maybe then nothing will happen" she yells
That's it I've had enough with this yelling and everything. I get up from the couch and walk out of the house slamming the door behind me. I start running and find a tree in a park. I sit under it. I sit there for a little bit then start crying. Man I messed up big time.
*Alex POV*
Chad storms put of the house. And I lay down on the couch with my face buried in a pillow. I start crying. Why do I always yell at him. I hear footsteps then feel someone rubbing my back. I don't look up because I know it's Caleb. A little later I hear someone go out the door. Probably Alan or Joey. As I'm sitting there I hear some singing.
*Caleb POV*
Once Chad and Alex get up from the table to talk Us guys get worried. We don't hear anything for a while then we hear a door slam. I go inside to check on Alex. I lay my hand in her back and she doesn't say anything. Joey canes inside.
"I'm going to find Chad and talk to him" he says
"Is that a good idea" I ask
"Don't worry I'll make sure he doesn't rip my head off" he says
I laugh and Joey heads out. I start singing stay with me. After I'm done Alex sits up and hugs me.
"Hey beautiful" I say
"Hey" she says
"Did you and Chad get in another argument" I ask
"Yeah. I don't k ow why I always yell at him I feel so bad. He probably hates me" she says
"He might be angry but he doesn't hate you" I say
"Ok. Well I'm going to take a nap" she says
"Ok" I say
I go back outside and ask Kelsey if I can talk to her. We go to the front porch and sit on the porch swing.
"What's wrong Caleb" she asks
"I want to ask you something. I'm okay with it but I want your input" I say
"Ok" she says
"Chad and Alex keep on having argument. I think they best way to help stop them so they don't get worse is by having Alex live with someone else" I say
"So are you saying for her to stay with us" she asks
"I guess I am" I say
"Well you'll have to talk to Chad and then Alex but I'm fine with it" she says
"Great. I love you so much Kelsey" I say kissing her cheek
"I know you do. That's why I love you more" she says
We go back to where the others are. Alan gives me a concerned look. I pull out my phone to text him.
C-Alex is fine and Joey went to check on Chad
A-ok
I put my phone away and continue eating still worried about the two.
*Joey POV*
I leave the house and start running to find Chad. I find him and sit next to him.
"Chad what's wrong" I ask
"I'm just annoyed Joey so leave me alone" he says
"No Chad I'm not leaving you alone until I know what's wrong" I say
"Joseph you're really getting on my nerves please leave me alone" he says
"No! I'm not leaving. I won't talk or leave till you tell me. I'll be here" I say
"Whatever" he says
We sit there for a little bit until Chad actually looks at me.
"Joe do you really want to know what's wrong" he asks
"Yeah I do" I say
"Well I'm annoyed with Alex. First she yells at me for not caring and now she yells at me for caring. Which does she want" he asks
"Chad I'm not sure which she wants but all I can tell you is maybe you shouldn't ask a lot of questions when you're concerned. Let her tell you what she thinks is the right amount and of you think she left something out don't ask her exactly go around it to get your answer" I say
"That's actually not a bad idea." He says
I'm about to say something when my phone dings. I pull it out and see an text from Caleb.
C-Call me ASAP
"Chad I have to call Caleb I'll be back over" I say
"That's fine" he says
C-yello Joe
J-hey Caleb what's up
C-I have an idea
J-what
C-so Kelsey and I talked and I thought Alex should live with is to try and help the two from fighting all the time
J-let me ask Chad but I think it's a good idea
I hang up and go back over to Chad.
"Hey so Caleb and I have an idea bit we want your approval" I say
"Ok what is it" he asks
"You and Alex have been fighting a lot so we feel like it would be better if she moved I with one of us. By one of us I mean Caleb and Kelsey" I say
Your right we have been fighting a lot. I say yes" he says
"Great. Lets go back and ask Alex" I say
"I'm going to go back to my house" he says
"Chad we haven't done presents yet" I say
"I now but I'm a little tired" he says
"Ok. We'll talk to Alex and then let you know later." I say
I walk back to Alan's and go inside. Alex is just waking up so I tell Caleb Chad's answer then we go to talk to her.
"Alex darling can we talk with you" I ask
*Alex POV*
They both want to talk to me. Hopefully it's nothing bad.
"Sure" I say
"Ok so we've noticed a lot of fight between you and Chad and we have a question for you" Joey says
"Ok what is it" I ask
"So we talked to him and be agrees with us that it might be better if you stay with Kelsey and me." Caleb says
"What can he not handle me anymore" I ask
"Alex it's not that. We just want to protect both of you. Things could get worse. Someone could end up getting hurt by each other or their self." Joey says
"Ok. I like that idea" I say
"Ok. We'll move your stuff out tomorrow" Caleb says
"Can I open presents now" I ask
"Of course. They're all outside" Joey says
We go outside where everyone is and I start opening presents. I get to the last one and it's from Chad. There's a card in it. I pull it out and read it.
Happy birthday Alex! I'm truly sorry if I made you feel like you're worth nothing I'm this world. The truth is I care about you and would never trade you for gold. I love you and I never want to break out sibling bond. I don't like it when we fight. I want us to help each other realize that God is in control and we can't blame each other or ourselves for the mistakes we make. I love you.
I finish reading it and wipe the tears off my face. I open the gift. It's my own purity ring. I don't put it on. I'm going to have Chad put it on my finger. As I finish thanking everyone my phone rings. I go inside to answer
A-Chad I'm so sorry we always fight. I just read the card. I want to stay with you and Fallon and the new baby
C-Alex it's ok I forgive. I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have walked out. I was getting really annoyed but Joey calmed me down
A-wow ok. I need to talk to you later on
C-ok. Tell Caleb you're staying with me then I'll come get you
A-ok
I hang up and turn around. Caleb is standing there I go over to him and hug him.
"I'm proud of you" he says
"For what" I ask
"For being strong and realizing that fighting isn't always the solution to problems" he says
"Wait so you aren't mad that I'm not staying with you" I ask
"Alex I'm not mad at all. If anything I'm super happy. I don't want to take you away from Chad. Chad loves you and would do anything to protect you." He says
"I love you Caleb" I say
"I love you too" he says
I see Chad coming up to the porch and I make my way over to him. I put my crutches down so I can hug him.
"I love you sis" he says
"I love you too bub" I say
"Oh Chad I opens your gift but I want you to put it on my finger" I say
"Ok. Where is it" he asks
"It's out back" I say
"Hop on and we'll go get it" he says
I get on his back and we head out back. I grab the box and he puts it on me. We say bye to everyone them leave. Fallon grabs my crutches for me and we go to the car. We get in and go back home.
"Ok Alex ready to talk" Chad asks
"Yeah" I say
"Ok what is it" he asks
"Chad you know how I told you I believed what Maggie said" I ask
"Yeah" he says
"I believed if so much that I went to one of my old cuts and cut farther down. I was going to do more but then you said we had to leave. I was trying to kill myself Chad but you saved me" I say
"Alex please don't ever try to kill your self again" chad begs
"Don't worry Chad I'll try not to. I reaccepted Christ this morning after I realized what I was doing." I say
"Wait so are you saying you lost God after Gabby's death and you never told anyone" he asks
"I told mom and dad. They didn't seem to care" I say
"Alex oh I wish you told me" he says
"I know Chad I really wanted to but I couldn't. I didn't m ow how you would react" I cry
"Alex please don't cry. I'll love you no matter what happens" he says starting to cry
I go over to him and curl up on his lap. He kisses the top of my head. I start drifting off to sleep.
*Chad POV*
I look down and see Alex almost asleep. I sing in the jungle quietly and she's sound asleep. Fallon comes into the living room and sits next to me and leans her head on my shoulder then falls asleep shortly. There's a knock at the door then the guys come in.
"Wow Chad you must be pretty boring if they both fell asleep" Joey says
"Nows not the time to make jokes" I say
"Chad man were you crying" Caleb asks
I just nod.
"What happened man" Alan asks
"Alex tried to kill herself but I stopped her when I said it was time to go to chick fil a this morning" I say
"Wait didn't Gabby kill herself on her 13th birthday" Alan asks
"Yeah. That's exactly why I was crying because it would've been a Gabby situation all over again and I couldn't lose both of my sisters to threats" I say
"Ok" Joey says
"Why are you guys here" I ask
"We were coming to see if you liked the idea of Alex creating an album with us" Alan says
"I love it but we'll have to ask her. She might me a little hesitant" I say
"Ok. Well we'll come back later" Caleb says
They leave and I turn on the tv. Around 11 I turn the tv off and fall asleep.
