The Last Cure

Chapter 5

CHAPTER 5

I dived back into the room as the fire roared past my door engulfing the hallway. When the fire stopped I jumped back out. Infront of me stood a giant phantom beast. The beast had glowing yellow eyes with a snake head a lizards body and could breath fire.

I ducked and jumped to avoid being hit by the fire balls he was spitting at me. I dodged and threw my dagher which hit it in the back left leg, straight in the knee cap. Then it imediatly began to disintegrate but it wasn't fast enough. It charged at me on 3 legs and with great power. I just barely dodged it. It turned around and charged agian but this time when I tried to dodge it he hit my foot causing me to flip through the air and land on it. I tied to stand but the pain was unbearable.

The bottom half of the monster was completely gone now but I couldn't move. Although it could barely walk it came charging at me. I was ready for a gruesome impact when poof he was completly yellow dust 2 inches infront of me.

I grabbed my knife from the pile of dust and strapped it ro my side. I pulled myself into my room and inbetween my bed and dresser. I ripped two boards off and put them on both sides of my lower left leg. I ripped some fabric of the sheets on my bed and use that to tie the boards in place.

I wobble out of my room and into the hallway. I struggle to get to the elevator but when I do I hit the button to bring me to the deck. I sit down and wait for the door to open. When it does I am in a room with shattered glass and broken peices of flooring. There was a map on a table and weapons hung on the wall. I stumbled to the door and opened it revealing a large deck smoking from bombs with holes and dents galore.

Amanda was in the middle of the deck crying into Elliots shoulder, on the floor.

"elliot, Amanda where's Annie" I asked hoping that what I saw couldn't be true.

"they took her, all of them, they grabbed her and flew away" Amanda said between sobs.

"no, no, noooo" I screamed.

We walked into a room full of monitors and keyboards. Kane was sitting at the largest one in the center. There was a shimmering gold man next to him that looked like some kind of hologram of starwars. Then it suddenly turned into a gold shimmerig ball abbout 2 inches wide and flew up and threw the ceiling.

"was that a catchi" I wispered to elliot.

"Yep" he wispered back, " their like little servents on the ship".

There was also another man standing up usong some kind of touch screen monitor that went from the floor to the ceiling. He had tan skin and brown eyes with black hair. I was guessing he was the night pilot.

Just then kane turned around to us.

"we'll be at head quarters in about 10 hours" he told us thn turned around and went back to work. Amanda steped forward and interupted his typing.

"have you found her yet, annie" she question.

"no, its a difficult process it could take weeks, the best thing to do is to go to head quarters and rest up, we can also fix up the ship there" he responded.

"why would we go to the equator at a time like this, Annie was taken and could have been killed by now" she screamed at him.

"I'll tell you if we find anything" he answered.

Just then I stumbled back. My leg was in immense pain and I could barely stand. I was so pale I blended into the white walls. I began to get light headed so I grabbed a ledge to keep me up. Everything felt like it was going in slow-mo. I tried my best to stay conscious but my whole body was fighting against me so I gave in to the darkness around me and blacked out.

oh the reason I posted 3 chapters in like 4 days is cuz Im gunna be busy during spring break this week. So this may be the last update for the week!!!
