The Last Cure

Chapter 8

CHAPTER 8

I woke to the aroma of pancakes. I knew that kind of pancake smell. It was my aunt mia's pancakes. I jumped and ran to my counter and sure enough they were there. I took a huge bite. They were heaven. This could only mean one thing.

I ran out of my room with only my pants on. I ran till I got to the cafeteria. When I got there I ran through the kitchen doors. "Aunt Mia" I cried running in to her. "oh, my dear how I missed you" she replied to me. "where's Uncle Jack" I asked. She turned away to keep from looking at me. Somthing was wrong. I could feel her saddness through the air. "aunt Mia, what happened" i asked again. "He died protecting me from these monsters" she replied to me. "oh" I squeked out.

I turned around and headed to the door but right before I was about to go back I stoped and turned. "I'm glad your safe" I said and with walked out and back to my room.

When I got there I sat down and finished my pancakes. After that I grabbed some red jeans and a nickel back t-shirt. I walked into the bathroom. I noticed there was a pile of clothes already in the hamper. Elliot has obviously already been in here. I cleaned up took a shower and brushed my teeth.

After that I got a soda from my fridge and walked over and made my bed. When I was done I sat down and saw a note by the finished plate lf pancakes. It read "MEET US ON THE 4TH FLOOR FOR TRAINING AT NOON". I looked at the clock it was 11:50. I grabbed a sweatshirt and ran down the halk then went up the elevator to the 4th floor. The whole floor had shooting ranges, fake attack zones, and other obsticals.

"hey Jason" Amanda screamed from across the room. "hey, uh can you come here" I yelled back. She ran over here her hair in a ponytail bobbing behind her. "ya" she said. "what is this place" I asked her, "training area, this is were we learn to fight and dodge, survival skills and every other Important skill we need to know" she answered. so with that she gestured and pointed everything out. "your pretty good at fighting so I suggest you try the survival skills" she told me. "mhm, ok" I said then I was off.

I walked over there and learnes how to start a fire and fish. I then went to gun handeling after that. I shot the dummy 3 times all throgh the smallest hole. I tried to find somthimg challenging and thats when I came to holographic studies. I tried every thing and couldn't get a hold of it. After that I went to archery. I was ok not the best. In fact Elliot was the best shot there was.

A few minutes later I went to flying. I loved that station. you flew throught the air on water bike like things.

A minute later the bell rang and it was time for lunch. I met up with Amanda and Elliot and we headed down. I knew by this time tommorow we could have Annie. I happily followed them thinking nothing could possibly go wrong. Boy was I wrong
