The Last Cure

Chapter 17

I rolled to the right. Our tent was in ruin and we had to go. Alex stumbled over to Leo and I know he had the right idea. I didnt even bother packing up my stuff. I yelled for Amanda and we all hopped on the dragon and took off into the sky dodging rocks.

"whats going on" Amanda yelled. "whay do you think, it him he doesnt want us to find him" I yelled back. "well where is he" she asked. "there" Alex said and we started at the giant volcano with a fortiefied walls and a giant door into the mountian.

We flew straight up into the clouds. Several griffens followed us causing leo to do countless flips and turns. "we need to get beyond the walls and into the volcano i think my dad might be in there" i said. "i can help keep them away" alex yelled. "how" i yelled back over the sound of rustling wind. "watch" he said as he jumped off the dragons back. "ALEX" I yelled. I looked back and say in in a votex of fire water earth and air. I watched stunned that he was an elementalist.

I flew me and amanda past the wall. A couple hundred yard to the 20 foot tall iron doors. They began to close. I flew leo as fast as i could but they closed right before we got there. We collided into the door and Amanda and I flew off leo into the ground. 

And began yelling and cursing at the door tears streaming down my face. We had come so far only to be kept out. "Damn It" i yelled at the top of my lungs. I couldn't stop crying then  felt a hug from behind. I saw Amanda there. We sat there in a hug for a while then Alex came over. "uh am i inturuptig something. "no" me and amanda both said at one. "hey do you think you could blow that door down" i asked. "Hmmm i don't know but i'll try, stand back" he told me. He began using everything he could at the door but no luck. 

"How will we get it" I asked. "we need to go up the mountian" Alex said. "yea well up that mountia is boiling magma that would roast us alive" i said. "no i mean that this is an underground fortress which means there must be vents binging in air" he responded. "Oh well get in trough the vents" I said. "yep now lets go, But leo you stay here" I Stated and we began clibing up the mountian side until we found a vent half way up.

Alex blew off the vent cover. No, like, he literaly blew it off with air. We jumped down into a hallway the metal doors on oneside and an arch way on the other. We began walking tp the unknown danger that lied ahead.
