Chapter 13

CHAPTER 13

We got to where the mountians really started. It began to rain and storm. We had to take a break or else leo would collapse from exastion so we stopped at a nearby village but left leo right outside in the woods. We continued until we got to a hotel the village was small but everyone seemed to be gone.

We walked inside the hotel. only the dim flickering lights lite the room. "I don't like this place" alex said. "me either but theres no where's else to go" I replied. "hello" a voice said from behind us. We jumped. "who are you" Amanda demanded. "I'm the hotel keeper" he said. "oh uh, we need a room but just one" I told him. "are you sure" he said in a kinda toothy grin. "um yes" I said. "very well" he replied. he went behind the desk and ducked down until we could see him.

He came up a second later. "ok, follow me" he said. We continued down the hall and followed him into a room. There were two queen beds and I knew who was sharing but thats when Alex spoke up, "hey um ill sleep on the couch". That took us both by suprise. "um are you sure" I asked. "yea, we um don't really know each other and its akward" he responded. "ok" I said.

I went into the bathroom and took a long shower in the hot water. I was disapointed there wasn't a bath tub. After I got out out and dried off I changed into my pajamas.

Then I walked out and noticed that Amanda had changed tho covers with our own and had chicken nuggets and fries from McDonalds. "cool, do you have anything to drink" I asked. "chocolate shakes" she squealed. "my favorite" I replied back. I ran over to her and we began eating. I attacked the large fries and dipped them in my chocolate milk shake. "where's Alex" I asked. "I'm not sure he, he went to take a walk when you went into the bathroom" she responded. "that was an hour ago" I said.

We looked at each other and something was clear. Elliot was in trouble. We began packing up our stuff. "did he tell you where he was going" I asked. "no" she said stopping for a minute like she wasn't telling me about something. We finished picking and headed out the door.

We went down the stairs and down into the lobby. "where are you going" asked the hotel keeper. "oh we have to go but how much do we owe you" I asked. "oh, sorry but you can't leave yet" he replied to me. "why can't we" I questioned. "were not done yet" he replied yet again. "not done with what, what are you doing with us" Amanda demanded. "your not dead yet" he said then morphed into a giant lizard human scorpion thing as if that was a trigger.

We ran to the door but it turned to iron and we couldn't get out. We had to fight.
