The Last Cure

Chapter 14

CHAPTER 14

I ran up and shoved my dagger into his side. He laughed and pulled it out throwing it back at us. I dodged and it swirled past my head. I ran over and got it while Amanda distracted it. I knew I had to do some thing. Then it dawned on me, the watch. I tapped a few buttons and a golden sheild radiating of electricity grew out of the watch.

I ran forward and smashed into the beasts front leg. He lurched his stinged at me and I threw my self to the side putting the sheild in front of me to block the blow. The blow to the sheild threw me back into the wall. "ahh" I screamed in pain. I'm pretty sure my arm had just snapped.

Amanda came running to me at the sight of my arm. "Alex help please" she screamed. "oh you want him, well hes up there" the beast said. I looked up and he was in a cage dangling above the ceiling. "Your time id near, your quest is impossible" he snareled at us.

Then the wall exploded and soldiers began pouring in. Arrows flew through the air. The monster began screaming and ran toward the wall where a giant hole opened up. Then the moster burst into flames and began thrashing the air. He ran into a wall 20 feet away from us. A group of swordsmen ran into the room and slaughtered the beast cuttig it to peices as it slowly crumbled to sand. Then, overwhelmed, I slipped out of conciseness.

I woke up in the same hospital as Elliot. It was more like a giant cicular room with anout 12 beds all around the walls. There were macines of all shapes and sizes litering one of the beds. I got up and noticed my arm was completely healed. "hello" I yelled walkin through the curtian that was the front door.

"Jason" Amanda ran up to me crying. "what's wrong" I asked. "its Elliot he, he's, he's dead" she stuttered collapsing to my feet. I just stood there not knowing what to do. "lets go to him" I said. She lead me into a dark room where elliot layed. His eyes were closed as if he was sleeping. We just atood there. This couldn't be happening. I couldn't figure out what to do but hats when alex ran in. "we have to go some one set half the place on fire" he yelled. "we can't leave Elliot" I screamed. "Fine" Alex replied.

He picked up Elliot and put him in a casket and we brought him to the deck. I whistled for Leo and he came flying down. We climbed aboard and flew off.

We landed in the middle of a clearing and we just sat there for awhile. I began to dig Elliots hole. Soon the other two joined and we got it done in no time. We lowered him down and began puting dirt on top of his casket. When we were done with that Amanda decorated it with flowers.

We sat there for about and hour. A, anda used me as a wet rag. "what happened, I mean I thought we saved him with the cure" "after a while the cures wares off and it no longer works on poisons amd huge wounds but things like your arm will be fine after 1 dose" he answered.

"but, wait you used the cure on me" I screamed "that could have helped someone else that really needed it" I was screaming now. "we would have had tomwait months if we didn't use it" he yelled back and just as the grave exploded.
