The Last Cure

Chapter 4

CHAPTER 4

When we got to the cafeteria I saw a gaint buffet with every food possible. I got 2 slices of pizza, fries, icecream, and mountian dew. I also got a kiwi. Ever since I was kid I've always had a kiwi with every meal. I .am not really sure why but it helps me.

After I gotten my meal Annie gestured me to follow her to a circular table. It was probably made of pine because of the scent it yave off. I noticed there was another person there when I sat down. he had dark skin, black hair, and deep brown eyes, probably in his late 20's. I also noticed he was only wearing white shorts and no shirt.

"uh, hey, who are you" I asked him.

"I'm Kane, the pilot" he answered.

After looking I noticed thrre were only 2 other people sitting a few tables over from us. One was pale white with black hair and a scar on his check. The other was probably latino and was missing a thumb.

"wheres the rest of the crew" I asked. Surly there had to be more people to operate a ship of this magnitude and size.

"it's only us 5, the two engineers over there, the cook, the janitor, the night pilot and the catchi" he replied.

"whats a catchi" I asked him.

"you'll find out soon enough" he replied to me.

Just as I was about to respond a giant explosion happened and the ship lurched left. Alarms began to sound and Kane ran out of the room with engineers.

"what's going on" I yelled.

"the ship is under attack, we have to get out of here" she screamed back.

"go grab your weapons guys" Elliot screamed.

"wait, what, where are they" I managed to stutter back before falling to the ground from another explosion. after that we got up and he answered me

"yours should be in your room". The noise of fighting raged on and I tried to concenrrate on the topic at hand.

"where in my room" I yelled before callasping to the ground from another explosion.

"how should I know" he answered befor they all took off and into the hallway where I followed them.

We ran down the hall from the cafeteria. we kept falling to the ground with every bomb impact. I spashed into the wall when the ship lurched right. We continued going until we got to our rooms. I ran into mine huffing for air and tring not to pass out. If I was a dagger where would I be, I thought.

I checked the bathroom and my small kitchen, nothing. Then it dawned on me. This room was organized just like I'd arrange it. I ran to the dresser and opened the top drawer and threw out the socks and underwear. Then I grabbed it and thats when I saw the vision in the knife.

They were on the ship's deck being attacked by flying beasts trying not to die. All of them were being attacked at all sides bombs hitting the ships leaving dents and scorch marks. Some how it wasn't penetrating the ship. Amanda was pinned againsed a railing when an arrow disintegrated the monster. She looked up and elliot was firing away with a really fast bow. Then Annie was grabbed by one of the beasts and flown away after all that the image faded and I ran out into the hallway and thats whn it exploded into fire!
