I woke up in a hospital bed and the nurse checking the clip board attached to my bed look at me then yelled "he's awake everyone, he's awake". Several people came in including Alex and Annie. "Hey are you..." Alex begn to say before i inturupted him. "Wheres my dad" I said. Annie and Alex looked at each other. Then looked at me "come with us" annie stated.
We walked out of my room and down a hall where men were being treated in almost every room. We continued till we got to a door. Annie punched in a code on a key pad then scaned her hand on a pad sitting next to it. The door opned and a set of spiraling stairs made of stone apeared.
"okay this is not an air ship what is it" i asked. "its our base built into and island on the pacific ring although we dont live near any volcanos" she replied and with that we descended down the stairs.
When the stairs ended There was a dimly lit hallway and at the end way a single door. we walked down the hall an into the room.
I saw a bed with a man laying on it. Tubes and wires where attached all over his body. Computers littered every table in the room. I walked up to him and he looked at me. It was my dad. I had never seen him before andi thought for the longest time I would never meet him. Now all those thoughts melted away. "hi" i said. "i don't have much time but i want you to know i love you. you mean the world to me and i left you so that i could protect you. I will always be your dad and nothing will change that no phantom beast or evil army. You will always be m son and i am so proud of you. you possess so much power but have a large task at hand. I never wanted this to be your burden and i am so sorry i can't help but here take this not but don't open it until the time is right and remember you are amazing and i love you" tears welled in his eyes and he gave me a hug "i love you too" I said choking up and we sat there and hugged until his pulse stopped. i gently layed him down and we began to walk out of the room but then a noise like a tornado happened.
Laptops crashed against the wall and the head of the phanton beast rose from my dads torso and flow through the air as if it was made of air. It was parcially see through like an apparition and it cackled "i will never die, the blood line of the denarii shall die out and i will destroy the world" and with that he flew through th door making us fly against the walls.
And one regret went through me head, that so many innocent lives would parrish just so i could watch my dad die and evil rise. I could never let that happen again.
