After the date things slowly started to progress between me and Bash. He still sends me random lunches and really nice boxes of chocolates. We have had a couple of dinners and even a few lunches together since then. He found a really nice elderly man named Mr. Hanson, that runs the flower shop. He even had a small cafe built on to it, that Aria and I have lunch at frequently. Overall life is good.

It's now Thursday and It has been a really long day at work. We hosted a book fair for the local elementary and middle schools, and those little kids were so rowdy. It was a success though and I was happy with the turnout. I turn the corner and begin walking up my driveway. I guess I didn't notice the vehicle in the driveway, because the sound of the most annoying voice ever brought me out of my end of day fog.

Christopher Roberts; bank manager of Paris Bank. This slime ball has been poking his nose around here for the last year and a half. For whatever reason, this man wants my house. He has tried for so long to get me to sell my home and I'm not feeling it. He just can't seem to take no for an answer.

I try to walk quickly by him, but his legs are longer than mine.

"I just want to have a word with you Mr. McIntosh. I only need a minute of your time." He finally catches up to me as I go to unlock the door.

"I don't have a minute, I don't want to talk to you, and I do not and will not sale my house. Good day Mr. Roberts." I quickly shut the door in his face before he can utter another word. The man just doesn't give up.

Kicking off my shoes, I make my way to my bedroom. I am in desperate need for a long hot shower. I pull my ponytail holder out of my hair, massing my scalp with my fingers. I release a soft sigh of relief as I run my fingers through my hair. Going into the walk in closet I try to find some sweats and a tee shirt to throw on after. After putting my phone on the charger I set off across the hall to the bathroom.

After a long shower and a good shampoo and condition, I step out of the bathroom to hear my phone blaring. Running across the hallway I dive onto my bed and pick up my phone. Bash's name flashes across my screen, and I immediately get butterflies. I answer quickly and roll over on my back, biting my lip to try to hide my smile.

"Hi." I say shyly. I don't know why this make gets me like this.

"Hey beautiful." Sigh. He called me beautiful. "I just wanted to see if you were free tomorrow night? I have an event tomorrow night, and it is going to be beyond boring, but if you were with me I might be able to get through it." I think for a second. Me, a librarian, hanging out with a bunch of rich people? I don't know how I feel about that.

"It doesn't really sound like my crowd Bash, are you sure you want me to go with you?"

"I am absolutely positive I want you too. Please Evan save me from a night of rich snobs that only want to talk about stocks and money and other dumb shit. I'll buy you a new outfit and will feed you the best seafood you have ever had in your life." Well when he puts it like that how can I say no?

"Will there be lobster?" He chuckles softly, and I swear my heart flutters.

"Yes there will be lobster. I'll make sure you have two great big lobsters."

"Three." I try to negotiate.

"Done." Score! I've never had lobster, but I love seafood and I love food so surely it's going to be good. I can't wait.

"Ok, then I will gladly go with you to this shindig." I smile, excited to see Bash again.

"Great, then I will pick you up at noon and we will go find you something to wear." I instantly check my bank account to see if I can afford a new suit. it might be a stretch but at least I can use it for multiple events in the future. I guess I can make it work.

"Alright, then I'll see you tomorrow Bash." I can't stop smiling, this is so weird.

"Goodnight Evan. Oh, I've sent you dinner as well. I would have been there but I'm stuck in a meeting that I can't get away from." My eyes go wide. What did he say?

"You're in a meeting, right now?" He can't be.

"Yes I am in a meeting right now. Everyone say hello to Evan." This bitch. A chorus of "Hello Evan" fills my room and I could die.

"You called me beautiful in front of all of those people?" He fakes confusion.

"Was I not supposed to? I mean you are beautiful. Look guys, this is Evan. He's my wifey, here pass it around the table." I'm going to kill him.

"Bash, stop passing my picture around!" He laughs.

"Why, it's a great picture from our first date."

"But we didn't take a picture from our first date." Now I was confused. Wait, did he have one of the Stevens take my picture without me knowing. "Bash, did you..."

"OhEvanIcan'thearyousuddenlythereisstaticI'llseeyoutomorrowbye." The phone goes dead, and I'm sitting there looking at my phone. I cannot believe he just hung up on me. I give my phone the finger before throwing it across the bed. The doorbell rings, and I roll my eyes as I leave my room. That man is frustrating.

I enter the living room, checking the peep hole to see a delivery guy at the doorstep. I open it quickly and he hands me the bags, tips his hat and walks away. He's an asshole but Bash is very sweet. I don't know why I let him do so much for me. I peek into the bag and see take out boxes with the name Genghis Khan on it. It smells amazing. I can't help but think that Bash has the best taste in food.

I waste no time digging into the Chinese food, and the food tastes so much better than I imagined. I polish off two of the four boxes and decide to save the other two for lunch tomorrow. Tomorrow is the last day for out book fair and I am definitely going to need my energy. Checking the clock it is already after nine. A bicycle bell chimes, drawing my attention to my phone. Bash's name again shows up on the screen with a text message.

From Bash: I can't wait to see you tomorrow, sorry about the phone static, it was crazy right? Anyways, goodnight beautiful, have the sweetest dreams.

Maybe he isn't as much of an asshole as I thought he was an hour ago. I smile as I start cleaning up from dinner, tucking the rest of the food into the fridge. I head off to my bedroom, plugging up my phone to the charger and drawing back the blankets on my bed. I send a quick message to Bash, I didn't want to leave him on read.

From Evan: Goodnight Bash.

Sitting my phone on the bedside table, I lay down on my pillow and slowly fall into a deep sleep.
