I haven't heard from Bash all weekend, and I'm scared. Either he has finally given up or, he is planning something stupidly ridiculous and it's just going to piss me off. I don't know why that man thinks he can buy me with the material things. Even though I must admit, the food has been fire. That pasta from The Pink Door was to die for, but  I digress.

It's another day in the library, and I've been cataloging new books all morning. Aria has even been busy today with the uncharacteristic foot traffic that has come through today. She is currently checking out a group of girls who she is fangirling with over a new Jungkook song. Apparently he is a singer she is obsessed with, and hasn't stopped talking about all morning.

Just before noon I decide to take a break and figure out what to do for lunch. I skipped breakfast and I could literally eat a whole Las Vegas style buffet.  I walk over to where Aria is sitting, who was just finishing checking out one of our regulars, who smiles as she leaves.

"What up skank what are we doing for lunch?" I ask as I sit down beside her. She pushes me and laughs softly as she pulls out her phone.

"I have no idea. I was kind of hoping a very sexy CEO was going to bless us with another amazing lunch. I wish you would stop pushing him away, think about all the perks I could have as your best friend." I shake my head dismissively.

"It's not about the perks or what he has to offer me. He isn't coming at me correctly and I don't like that. Anybody can open a wallet it's takes someone special to open their heart, which in turn could open mine."

"And then you open your legs, right?" She's hopeless.

"I just want a man to make me feel special, is it really so much to ask for? I want to be swept off my feet and he isn't doing that. Yeah he's sent candy, and food and gifts, but you know the one thing he hasn't sent in here?" She shrugs.

"HIs self. He hasn't been back in here since day one, he has had that same guy come in here every day to deliver something new, but he hasn't been to see me. So how do I know he is actually interested?"

She wraps an arm around my shoulder giving me a light squeeze.

"You are absolutely right. You deserve your fairytale romance, and nothing less. I'm sure there is someone out there that will give you all of that and more." I give her a small smile and my thanks. Even though I have been too focused on work lately and haven't thought much about dating until recently, I kind of wish a guy like Bash would try to romance me the right way.

I sigh softly as the front doors swing open. Gail from the flower shop comes in with the brightest smile across her face.

"Gail. Hey, is everything ok?"  She nods quickly and flashes me a plane ticket.

"Everything is amazing you are not going to believe this, but I sold my flower shop!" She squeals and does a spin, just like those women in the movies.

'Wow Gail, that is amazing, I didn't even know you were trying to sale."

"That's the thing, I wasn't. A man came in on Saturday and offered me an incredible deal that I couldn't pass on and well we finished the deal this morning. Now I have more than enough money to move to California." Gail's moving away? My heart dropped. I always knew this day could be a possibility but I didn't think it would happen this soon.

"That is amazing I am so happy for you and your family." I went around the desk and gave her the biggest hug. She wraps her arms around me tightly.

"Thank you so much my sweet boy. I'm going to miss you so much." I feel a tear leave my eye as I pull away from her, I'm going to miss her like crazy.
