While the police investigated the scene and after Yibo and Li Na had been questioned for the report, both slowly made their way down the street and took a seat by the sidewalk, awaiting orders for further inspection. They were under suspicion like Li Na had said, despite them having made a reasonable explanation without any dark edges. Yet the police kept their ground and ruled the story out from their perspective instead.

"Stubborn assholes..." Li Na glanced at the house which the police were in, later gazing back down at her feet. "They always work like that. But... hey, why do you think he was killed?"

Yibo took out a cigarette and lit it up, later glancing at Li Na as he inhaled the smoke. "You asked the forbidden question." He said sarcastically. "I think you can rule out the reason behind it just as well as I can. But the police... wouldn't have enough evidence to know who the culprit is would they." Li Na bit her lip. The wind blew the tobacco stench onto her hair and clothes, covering her in a cloud of grey. Her thoughts became dark like a cloud also, making her irk her face at the irony of the situation they were in. "Won't you say it?

Her voice was quiet and soft, making her seem vulnerable and lost. Yibo took his time to take a few drags from his cigarette before putting his thoughts into words. "After signing the contract he was devastated. So he came home, drinking to his heart's content, which would explain the empty alcohol bottles we saw at the entrance. While drunk and lost in his mind, he decided that he wanted to take a bath and filled the tub with water. But just as he sat down, someone had already broken in and entered the bathroom for an easy kill."

Li Na swallowed. "And the person that killed him was..."

"It may have been Jun. He may have wanted to eliminate him because of the problems he'd cause." Li Na frowned. "What problems could he possibly cause after signing the contract *gasp*! Fuck.... we forgot about the contract...." Yibo looked at the front of the house, watching as they took the body out to load it inside the ambulance. "I don't think it will be of any help after all this anyways. And besides... if a contract really existed then he would not have been killed, don't you think?"

She hummed after some thought, later hugging her head helplessly. "This isn't getting anywhere. How are we supposed to fight off against him now that we have nothing at hand?" Yibo inhaled the last bit of smoke from the tobacco, letting it seep into his bloodstream with ease. After he was finished, he put out the cigarette on the stone sidewalk and stood up. "I'm dragging you into this. Maybe you should just... drop the case. I will figure the rest myself out so... let's stop." Yet Li Na disagreed as she stood up and ran after him. "What- hey! No way!"

She then grabbed from his sleeve, now pulling him back. "I can't do that- I... I can't just abandon my client!" Yibo pulled his arm off and tilted his head up. "Drop the justice bullshit- I'm in a deep mess anyways, you'll just be drowning with me if you continue. And besides.... I don't think that I will be able to save myself either ways so... let's just stop this."

Li Na became enraged as she stepped in and slapped him loudly on the cheek. "You're giving up just like that!? And since when have you cared for me anyways! If it means that there may be a chance to succeed then just use me! What are you, an idiot!?" Yibo furrowed his brows, now grabbing her wrist to make her look his way. "What the hell is your problem? I'm telling you to go- I'm firing you for fucks sake! So just leave! Hey-!!"

While his yelling continued, Li Na suddenly wrapped her arms around his waist and pulled him in for a hug. It felt odd to hug her, not sure on what to say or feel. The hug was short and only momentary, as she pulled herself back before waiting for too long. "I... know that you're feeling bad for all of this. That... you're feeling guilty. But trust me when I tell you this, it was not your fault."
