"Loki, wake up!" You whisper urgently, gently shaking his arm. The room is bathed in soft morning light, and the cozy warmth of your surroundings beckons him awake. "Just a few more minutes," he mumbles sleepily, his voice carrying the comfort of the snug bedsheets.

You're determined, though, and with a hint of insistence, you declare, "No, Loki, we're going right now." A faint groan escapes Loki's lips as he reluctantly stirs from his slumber, the drowsy atmosphere lingering in the room.

"I'll handle loading all the presents into the car while you prepare. You've got ten minutes, Loki," you say, your voice carrying a mix of patience and urgency. "Yes, ma'am," he answers, his tone still weighed down by sleep.

You descend the stairs to the living room, the memories of the previous day spent wrapping presents filling your senses. The soft rustling of gift wrappers and the crisp scent of paper and tape have transformed the room into a festive sanctuary. You carefully stack the gifts, creating a mesmerizing array of colors and shapes.

Venturing into the garage, you find the crisp morning air refreshing as you place each gift into the car, the anticipation of the day ahead invigorating your spirit. The process repeats itself several times as you grapple with the abundance of presents you've thoughtfully acquired.

With the gifts securely nestled in the car, you take a moment to warm up the vehicle, the soft hum of the engine providing a soothing backdrop. Meanwhile, Loki seems to be engaged in a never-ending morning ritual.

"Loki! Where are you?" you call out. "Just a few more minutes!" he shouts back, the house seeming to echo his sleep-induced lethargy.

You chuckle softly, asking yourself, "How long does this man need to get ready?" While you wait, you gather a tray with hot teas, their aromatic steam rising to meet your nose, enveloping you in their soothing comfort. You've also prepared a surprise for Loki: new books that you've tucked away in the car on his seat, awaiting his discovery.

Finally, Loki appears in the garage, his presence drenched in a mixture of reluctance and surprise. He opens the passenger door, and his eyes alight on the gift-wrapped surprise. "What's this?" he inquires, his curiosity adding a layer of excitement to the air. "It's yours. Now, please sit down; we're already running late," you say, your voice carrying a combination of anticipation and affection. Loki takes the gift, his eyes meeting yours as he settles into his seat, a blend of sleepiness and excitement in his gaze.

You're driving down the bustling street, the car enveloped in a cocoon of comforting warmth. The pristine snow beneath the tires emits a satisfying crunch, and the morning sun bathes everything in a gentle, golden glow. "Come on, open it up," you eagerly encourage Loki, your heart pounding in anticipation of his reaction. With utmost care, he unfurls the treasure you've bestowed upon him.

"The Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer, where did you get this from?" he inquires, his fingers dancing reverently over the intricately embossed cover. A hint of wonder and nostalgia tints his voice. "Searched for it, do you like it?" you ask, a touch of anxiety coloring your tone, unsure of his response.

"Of course I do. Do you even know for how long I've been scouring the Earth for this book?" Loki's eyes twinkle with delight. A feeling of accomplishment washes over you as you smile, realizing that your gift was a perfect match.

With the book cradled in his lap, he can't help but share his enthusiasm with you. "You know, this book is a true gem. It's like unearthing a piece of history," he begins, his voice filled with reverence for the literary treasure he's holding.

He continues, "Geoffrey Chaucer's work is a masterpiece of Middle English literature. It's a collection of stories within a story, and it provides a fascinating glimpse into the lives and society of the time. Each tale is like a window into a different world, with characters so vividly drawn that they feel like old friends."
