It was still early in the afternoon when I woke up after my much needed nap. Simon wasn't in the bed next to me and it makes me wonder what he is on to keep functioning the way he does. I got out of the bed and freshened up before I walked to the common area.

I noticed Soap and Simon sitting at the table, making conversation while having a beer. I didn't mean to disturb them but not long after I walked in, Soap had noticed my presence and asked me to join them. I went to the kitchen to get myself a drink before I sat down at the table next to them.

Apparently Price had given them the day off. The team was going on a mission tomorrow to locate the whereabouts of the stolen weapons they sell on those illegal auctions. We all haven't had a night off since we first entered this new base and decided it would be fun to go into town and just enjoy the beauty of the city and get some local food.

After that, I went back to my room to get ready. I quickly jumped into the shower and got ready to go out, wearing a summer dress that wasn't too fancy but was still sexy in an elegant way. We decided to meet up in the common room again after everybody was ready so we could leave together.

Me and Simon had been close the last few days and we were afraid that the others started to see that too, our secret wasn't just between the two of us. Both Soap and Price now knew that there was something going on between us. We talked about putting some distance between us in public to confuse anybody that might have a suspicion but it was harder then I though to stay away from him.

Everybody was already waiting in the common area when I arrived. We took two different cars to town. The city was beautiful now that the sun was setting, casting a beautiful glare over the sky. I was lost in it when I felt Simon his hand on my lower back, it made me look around to see if anyone else saw it as well but nobody was even looking at us. He was leading me back towards the restaurant where the others were already waiting at the entrance, asking the waiter for a table.

The waiter guided us towards a table in the back which had an amazing view on the ocean in front of us. I was always a sucker for beautiful landscapes and could just look at those for hours, getting lost in the feeling of freedom that it provided.

We ordered our first round of appetizers and everybody was lost in conversation. Soon after that, we ordered and had a great time together with amazing food and great company. After dinner, a few of the team wanted to go back to the base to get some rest before the mission tomorrow, while the others wanted to walk along the beach before we went back, so we split up.

I let my bare feet get washed away by the ocean waves, my shoes in my one hand while I stared at the horizon in front of me. Soap, Maria, Roach, Simon and me had stayed back to take a late evening stroll before we got back. Even though I still had my issues with Maria, we didn't have any problems tonight, in fact this turned out to be the one peaceful night we had.

I felt Simon his presence behind me, pulling me back to reality, his hands weren't on me but I could feel the warmth of his body from behind me. It felt nice to be this close to him, as on cue a cold night breeze washed over us. It left me with goosebumps and he must have noticed since I felt him wrap his jacket over my shoulders, only seconds later.

"Are you alright?" He asked me, I could tell he had some trouble to stay away. I knew because I had the same issue. All I wanted right now, were his arms wrapped around me while we stared at the beautiful sky in front of us.

"Yeah I am. Just enjoying the peace and quite."

I felt how his lips quickly brush over my cheek in a sweet kiss before he walked past me, I quickened my steps until I walked right next to him, with Soap, Maria and Roach right in front of us. I had to give it to him, Soap was the best in distracting the others so we could have a moment, even it was only for a few seconds like now, it was precious.
