Things are slowly returning back to normal. It has been a week since the team rescued me from Makarov, a week since they arrested my dad, and a week since Jhonny was shot.

I immediately rushed to his side to be with him. Seeing him unconscious on the ground after just having to go through the death of my mother, was the worst feeling of the world. The thought of losing him broke my heart.

Makarov used the chaos to escape the scene. While Simon stayed with me to take care of Jhonny, the rest of the team went after Makarov but he managed to escape.

It took a few days before I found the place he was hiding at, but we managed to track him down and the team was able to capture him soon after that. With the help of Shadow Company, we immediately brought him to the most secure prison on a private island with the greatest security, where he'd remain for the rest of his life.

That day in the tunnels, the paramedics rushed to the scene and brought Jhonny to the hospital where he had to undergo immediate surgery. They had succeeded in removing the bullet and stitched the wound but he had lost a lot of blood.

He was put in a coma so that his body could do the work and heal itself. But there is always a risk when you bring someone into a coma, the chance that they do not wake up or that they aren't the same afterwards lingered in my mind.

Price fought hard with the hospital staff, but he succeeded and managed to get Jhonny relocated to our medical bay at the base where we would be close to keep an eye on him. The doctors came by daily to check his vitals but so far nothing changed.

Today is no different, I haven't moved from this room since they brought him here. I've kept myself in his room, refusing to leave his side. I wanted to be there when he woke up, if he woke up.

The doctor walked inside the room and greeted me, it had been a week and we started to get acquainted. Every day he walked into the room, check Jhonny's vitals and made some notes.

"Shouldn't he be awake by now doctor?" I promised myself not to ask that question, afraid of his answer but I couldn't keep it in any longer. The not knowing was worse than whatever answer he could give me, right?

With a sympathetic look in his eyes, he nodded his head. I let out a deep sigh and turned by head back to Jhonny. The doctor must have noticed my change of behavior and turned to me.

"Don't give up hope, he's a fighter."

"Isn't there anything I can do to help him? To wake him or something?" I already knew the answer to that but I had to ask anyway.

"I'm afraid not. Just keep talking to him, he can hear you even now. But it's up to him to fight and come back." He gathered his supplies and got ready to leave. "I'll come by later today to check up again, I'd like to start reducing his medicine."

I waved him off just like I did every other day. When I was left alone in the room again, I walked over to his bed and sat down next to him. It felt like such a long time ago since we were together, and I missed him so much.

The way we used to banter or how we'd gang up and annoy Simon together, the great talks we had. I missed his presence and the way only he could make me feel. Those beautiful eyes and his sharp tongue were what I missed the most.

I leaned closer to him, to place a soft kiss on top of his forehead. My hands wrapped were holding his. It was supposed to let him know I was there, when in fact it was the other way around. His touch reminded me that he was still alive.

The door opened once more and Simon walked inside, he had been by my side most of the time. At first, he blamed himself for what happened. He put the responsibility of protecting Jhonny on himself.
