SOAP POV:
I didn't want to leave Ashley alone and almost drunk on the edge of the hill, but every alarm bell inside of me started ringing, I needed to talk to Price about this.
I ran through the front doors of the base, bumping into Simon who was on his way towards the training area with Chloe next to him. Gosh I felt bad for Ashley, since Chloe has been back things completely changed.
Those two have been spending a lot of time together and it broke my heart when I saw how sad she looked earlier in the kitchen after walking in on Simon and Chloe having dinner.
Simon needed to watch out or he'd lose Ashley if he continued like this. I should be glad about that because that would mean that I'd have a chance with her, but they are both my friends and I want them to be happy, even if she is not with me.
"Can you go get Ashley and bring her back to the base? She is in the same spot she was yesterday." I said to Simon before brushing past him, still in a hurry to talk to Price. I know he'd get her back here safely.
I arrived at Price his office, placing a loud knock on the door but I immediately opened it afterwards, not waiting for a reaction. Price was sitting at his desk, a cigar in his hands while he was looking over some papers.
He his head moved upwards and his brows furrowed when he saw me storming inside. He reached for his glass and took a big sip of his scotch while I walked in further inside his office until I stopped behind one of the chairs that were located in front of his desk.
"The terrorist we captured, he talked to Ashley." I started, my voice a bit rushed from how fast I tried to get here.
"I know, that is why I'm mad at her. She shouldn't have went behind my back and had a conversation with him." Price answered, his shoulders relaxed when he heard what I came to talk about.
"No not that. He told her and I quote 'they want to restore Russia back to it's glory'. Does that sound familiar?" I was getting a little frustrated that he wasn't taking this serious.
"Soap I know what you're thinking, but that man is locked away in jail. There is no reason to start panicking."
"He might be in prison but what about his followers?" He didn't share my worries but I couldn't let go of the feeling that something was about to happen.
This man is one of the most dangerous people out there, it took the team so much to capture him the last time. We lost a lot of good soldiers in that fight, months passed by and so many innocent people got killed before we were finally able to put him away in prison.
It turned out that he had a whole army of soldiers behind him, well trained people who helped him create chaos all around the world. All in the name to restore Russia to its glory days. His organization was filled with thousands of people that were loyal to him, people who'd do whatever he asks because they had so much faith in his believes.
"Alright, I'll ask Laswell to pull up records from the prison where he is being held in, if that will calm you down." Price said, still showing no sign of worry.
"We should try and talk to the prisoner in our holding cell again." I suggested.
"What makes you think he'll tell us anything?"
"He won't tell us, but he will tell Ashley. He already did it once, if we accompany her we might be able to get some answers." I suggested but he immediately shut my idea down.
"No. Ashley is not to go near that man. He is dangerous and she is not trained."
I let out a deep sigh, my head was all over the place. Of course I don't want her to get hurt, or to even risk her safety like that, but we would be there and I'm sure none of us would let anything happen to her. But we needed to get information, if they were indeed planning something then we needed to know.
