The three kids walked through the forest that lit up in many different colors. Neteyam made a yipping noise to make his presence known to his sister.

Kiris lips trembled, "what if she's hurt teyam?"

Neteyam looked at her and shook his head "she is fine I know it"

A guilty aonung walked in front of them overhearing their conversation. "I thought you forest freaks were used to places like this!"

Neteyams lips tightened into a thin line. Kiri rolled her eyes "does it look like we are from THIS forest?"

Aonungs eyes flicked up towards the big branches on the tall trees. His mouth opened as he watched the glowing orange color covering the leafs on the trees branches.

Kiri and neteyam stopped dead in their tracks when they heard Eleis banshee call. The siblings made eye contact as their ears raised.

Aonung noticed they stopped so he spun around, "come on I don't have all night!"

Neteyam held a finger up to his lips signaling for everyone to be quiet.

The three of them stood still and listened to the forest sounds. "Aaaoo, aaaoo, yee-up" Eleis banshee call was different this time letting them know danger was near.

Shortly after they heard a few low growls surrounding them. Kiri looked at the boys "climb..like now" she whispered before running to climb up a tree as fast as she could.

Neteyam did the same and looked down at aonung who was struggling.

He muttered curse words under his breath, "skawng!"

He lowered his free hand to the boy but quickly yanked it back up when he seen five animals that resembled the viperwolves from back home.

Aonung wanted to run but he was frozen in place from fear, he's never seen anything like these things.

Before anyone could react Elei ran down a tree branch and jumped off, she lifted her bow mid air and shot one of the animals.

When she hit the ground she rolled and got on one knee while swiftly shooting an arrow into another one.

She made grunting noises and war cries as she swung her bow smacking the others.

She hunched over and hissed at the others glaring intensely as they ran away making whining noises.

She heard low whining noises so she followed it and noticed one animal had a bow in its chest but was still alive and in pain. She grabbed her knife and placed a hand on the animals head as she quickly dug the knife into its heart silencing it

She closed her and muttered prayers to eywa "Oeru txoa livu, ma oeyä tsmukan. Hu nawma sa'nok tivul ngeyä tirea. Oeru txoa livu."~ 'Forgive me my brother may your spirit run with the great mother, forgive me'
Aonung slowly approached her and heard her snarling, he placed a hand on her shoulder only to get smacked in the face with the girls bow, "ow! My face!"

She rolled her eyes and pointed at him with her index finger, "this is your fault! Yours!" Her screams sounded strained from how exhausted she was.

She looked at neteyam and Kiri as they climbed down the trees, "let's go and don't say shit to mom and dad are we clear?"

Neteyam held up his hands "woah baby sis you're starting to sound like dad" he snickered while looking at Kiri who was looking around.

Elei hissed before beginning to walk.

Aonung ran after her, "Elei I'm sorry I didn't know they were going to do this"

The girl laughed hoarsely "you knew!"

Kiri and neteyam stared at them now amused to see aonung scramble for their sisters forgiveness.

Aonung grabbed her forearm making her stop and face him. "I thought they'd play a little joke but I didn't know they'd do this I swear" his usual smug look was now turned into a serious face like the one his father always had.

The girl looked up at him as tears filled her slightly green colored eyes due to her having night vision. "I trusted you"

Aonung nodded and placed both of his hands on her shoulders, watching as she got emotional. A painful sensation started to make its way through his heart.

Elei sniffled as tears slid down her dark blue cheeks which were covered in darker blue stripes and glowing white dots

"I trusted you! Get away from me!" She pushed him back roughly while staring at him with hurt evident in her body language.

She raised a shaky hand at him, "never come near me again!" She screamed one last time before Kiri grabbed her and began walking back to their marui pod.

Neteyam paused and shot him a look of disappointment before following his sisters.
